Thank you for keeping the 'Mystery' alive and shared. My Grandfather Fred H & Coffman helped build & manage the house for Mildred & John Lister and I have pictures of the three (among others) circa 1954. Grandad was a noted historian on the Chinese gold miners, railroad laborers and Gold mining in Southern Oregon and the Scotts\Shasta valleys of Northern California with many exhibits donated by him in the Jacksonville museum. What a great place to be a kid at!! Thanks again & best wishes. TC Williams (Fred & Arlene Coffman's oldest Grandson)
Tilt your screen about 40 degrees up from the left...and now see the video... ( 3:48 is a good example) ....the whole place is set at the opposite angle
Oh yes and I did some detection work there (quietly) and detected a gravity field down deep to be 3,700' wide and long in a spherical shape. Then I checked out for metal readings and they were also round and taller or thicker in the middle and some Nuclear in the area of middle.
FunMathLesson had mentioned or eluded to the notion but did not directly state, the reason that the magnet falls slower through the tubes is due to eddy currents.
There is a fair amount of trickery going on to “enhance the experience” but i do think that it would be interesting to demolish the house, dig up the terrain until its leveled and see what happens Maybe there is a legitimate phenomena after all
An unusual amount of additions to the tour. Several years has this event change the discoveries or omit entire experiences. Try a helium balloon or cigar smoke. The waterfall demonstration is gone.
Something like this might explain the Bermuda Triangle. Without knowing the phenomena, the sky might flip flop with the ocean, where pilots fly their planes into the ocean. But how would it explain ships?
When they go inside, pay attention to the difference between the guy and girl to the board running along the top, there's a small difference, maybe a foot or so, idk. It's an optical illusion being caused by the house being enclosed and tilted. Your mind tries to find sometime to use as a horizon, but because everything's tilted, your perception is screwed up. And the thing with the copper pipe and magnet is something you can do anywhere, my brother and I tested it after he learned about it in College. As for the uphill rolling balls, tilt your screen until the board is at a slight decline, and you'll see that the balls aren't slowing down due to gravitational vortex stuff or whatever, but because the board is actually flat, and the part where the balls fell onto the second board is covered, probably has a wedge in there to give the balls a boost. Whole thing is a clever hoax using optical illusions and stuff to mess with your brain.
Matthew Martin Rodgers Not really. I like knowing things. And something I just realized while rewatching this, at the beginning, where they show the thing with the copper piping, you can do that anywhere. Just get a copper pipe and a magnet(small enough to go down the pipe without getting stuck), and drop the magnet down the pipe. It will fall slowly, no matter where you are.
I'm very skeptical and know it must be some kind of illusion, but I can't figure out the height difference on the level beam. When the woman is standing on the left, they're basically the same height. When they switch sides, the man becomes like 2 feet taller than her (and the board is level). The lean of the building in the background enhances the illusion, of course, but how does the height change like that when standing on a level beam?
As for your explanation about "turning the screen until the board is at a slight decline" doesn't work because anyone can tilt their screen to make something look more or less slanted. You say tilt your screen until the board is slightly declined...well, how about we tilt our screen until the board is vertical? Anyone can turn their screen to change something...it proves nothing.
“The World will end, an event anticipated with the great joy by many. It will end very soon, but not in the year 2000 which has come and gone. From that I conclude that God Almighty isn’t heavily into Numerology” - Kurt Vonnegut, Hocus Pocus 1990
That spirit level is miscalibrated. Next time bring another one of your own. Mistery dont exist. Everything is otical illusion. That house out of level.......
I brought my own level and a few measuring instruments and the result was the same. I was at the vortex 3 weeks ago and they welcome visitors to bring their own measuring apparatus. It's good to be skeptical but not blind to it. Science is a process of observation but somethings even should make you question the method.
Even though its an optical delusion oops meant elusion, still looks cool. No paranormal stuff going on there and the reason horses wont go there and turn around is because its disorienting to them they get confused so it spooks them maybe something is fucking woth their since of direction like a magnetic field which animals are very sensitive to. Thats why they go crazy right before an earthquake strikes, same thing with a volcano. People get motion sickness for the same reason they get disoriented and makes them sick. Been debunked a long time ago. I like the uphill car rolling trick i have seen a video on and its somewhere else in the USA. Survey debunked it surveyors should come there too!
I think m it's to do with a type of stone and water nothing magic hear just the joy of gravity, and a place where science is enjoyable.i would love to go 1 day.
she was acting really suspicious when asked about the height demonstration. overly used words/phrases like "etcetera" and "it is a place to be questioned." we don't know what they're not telling us about this place.

We were on our honeymoon in 1952. On our way to Calif. from Ohio. came across it. What memories.
Magnets fall slowly in copper tubes even though copper is magnatic. It is not caused by the mystery force in that area
Tilt your screen about 40 degrees up from the left...and now see the video...
( 3:48 is a good example) ....the whole place is set at the opposite angle
Thanks! Now I know that part is just a trick
Is this the one that's based on the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls?
Yes, yes it is
The Mystery Shack is actually based on this attraction. Alex Hirsch mentioned a trip he went on here when he was younger.
where are dipper and mabel?
@kristian rikardsen Why dingy?
The Oregon Vortex has been around longer than the Gravity Falls Mystery House.
I felt so sick when I went there. I gre up with my dadd stoties and went myself and I couldn't stay. Something is definitely off in that place.
I think ot might be you who is off

I used to live in Oregon and I visited there so I know first hand it is real.
I have done the magnet trick with neodymium magnets and an aluminum tube. It's an easy way to pass time if you got the stuff for it.
FunMathLesson had mentioned or eluded to the notion but did not directly state, the reason that the magnet falls slower through the tubes is due to eddy currents.
I don't get the height part
Can I just say if I was there I'd take the level and measure everywhere except the exact center itd be easy to shave down a flat part in a slanted log
First one (copper pipe) is not related to Oregon vortex.
In Michigan they're called Mystery Spot!
I've been there. St Ignace. Similar but that one doesn't have the broom. That's harder to explain.
Que TOP!!!! GRAVITY FALLS!!! Um dia eu vou aí.
There is a fair amount of trickery going on to “enhance the experience” but i do think that it would be interesting to demolish the house, dig up the terrain until its leveled and see what happens
Maybe there is a legitimate phenomena after all
Memes n Shet : lmao destroy it and say “Oh, I guess it was real, that’s wild.” And leave casually after years worth of digging.
I may have been born at night, but not last night. I have made these illusions at a science fair in grade school. Pretty cool but not a vortex.
An unusual amount of additions to the tour.

This is the real Mystery Shack

Matthew Martin Rodgers Wait, just realized I already mentioned this, ignore me 😂
What about the broom ?

Maybe put something other than famous broom?
I know it! Put new little swing. We will see if seat stand straight.
I wonder what a compass would do...
Fun fact:this attraction was actually the main inspiration for the mystery shack in gravity falls.
went to 7th grade in gold hill. the vortex is cool attraction.......
Just visual illusions
May the force be with them.
Night Vale, is that you?
Gravity falls?
I live in Klamath falls really close I went here when I was little but I can't remember

This is the mystery shack of the real world
I was there as a kid. I was unimpressed then. That has yet to change.
Wow, I now feel dumber after watching this.
En Sid flags Mexico tenemos la casa del tío chueco 😂 es exactamente lo mismo
cool its very nice
ill visit this funhouse anytime, except a haunted house

Maria needs a much better script. from @4:30 to @5:00 she uses "etc" 4 times.
Agora eu sei de onde saiu Gravity falls !!
I don't even know what your said but I understand kind of
wooow amazing :D
As you see the camera isn't tricked for a second lol. There Cameras stayed on level the hole time.
Ok i just went there today and they said no video because its counterfeit COUNTERFEIT
hmmm. interesting. I wounder what that means. This is a really old video, I think we shot it in 2005. Thank you for watching.
when i went there it was A TOTAL RIP OFF dont go. cost $120 for 4 people
Broke...
Jesus H!!
I think m it's to do with a type of stone and water nothing magic hear just the joy of gravity, and a place where science is enjoyable.i would love to go 1 day.
When you bunk physics classes
gravity falls
*gravity falls into intensifies *
I came here from mystica land
she was acting really suspicious when asked about the height demonstration. overly used words/phrases like "etcetera" and "it is a place to be questioned." we don't know what they're not telling us about this place.
Check out fact or faked, a lot of the attractions they show, the group actually finds why these things occur!
Its just an optical illusion
When my friend went there she swore she saw a ghost.
theyve been mixing too much coke and molly. take notes people, legalizing drugs is not a good idea.
This comment makes no sense.
Anyone watched gravity falls?
what the fuck is going on?
Wow!! :)
How old are you now?
@@bligward6609 Why?
Wtf
hahahahaha
Careful folks there's weirdo ghost sighting!
Can you say "tourist trap"? If you go, enjoy it for what it is. Have fun, avoid buying into the "pitch".
What's the pitch?
There used to be 5 or more such tourist attractions in the Black Hills So Dak. All the same scam...slightly different stories
