Home, sweet, home! There is a never ending list of things to do here! We just learn to wear rain gear in the winter and keep on going. The whale watching is excellent, I am very surprised that she did not mention that in the video. You can find whales year around especially off the cape! There is no shopping and very few jobs but I can think of no where I would rather live!
@@burtonh1 It is very isolated, Medford would be way too far. I always tell people the southern Oregon coast is for entrepreneurs. Places like this have many opportunities to fill. For example, very little ethnic food, so open a Vietnamese or Ethiopian restaurant. Also, very little to no live music so create a new venue hosting underground bands. You can pretty much create anything here.
Beautiful presentation of one of our all time favorite spots....its been a long time since we were there....and you made us feel as though we could smell the ocean, check out the food and see your beauty ....Thank you so much ...all the way from Maryville, Tn.
thank u so much for sharing this my wife and I live in mt. view ca. And have been thinking about moving to southern Oregon this really showed so many aspects I can't tell you how thankful I am
We hiked the Indian sands all the time when I was growing up. My parents were commercial fishermen in Brookings. So we did a lot of hiking in the area, mostly cause it was free... 😁
I actually live in brokins, and it is really beautiful. the only really bad thing, is in the winter it is cold and rainy. like right now it is, up until about march or something
Thanks for watching! Agreed, there are always more to do when it comes to marketing tourism. And that is everywhere around the world. Enjoy the cosst!!!
From Los Angeles and never heard a term, tee shirt weather. We have bunch of people wearing shorts on Christmas day..... Not sure if that is good or what?...
Absolutely LOVE Brookings but two things, What is "Dramastically?" (LOL) And Shhhhh...I know they want the money and tourism but California money has already invaded. Really? 3-20 million dollar houses in some areas now? Rich people with no brains just cash. Jobs and affordable living is tough. I hope to take MY California money and change that a bit
You have always called Or E Gon......ORGAN. There's an E in there. That Cypress is the largest in OREGON, not the USA. The real largest is located at Pescadero Creek, E of Pescadero, California.
is there a local Asian grocery store? Why am asking because i saw in the video that there are lots of fresh fish. And one thing i love about fish is Asian cooking like steaming. I need some Asian condiments to cook the dish. Thank you. :)
using the fresh Albacore for sushi is the absolute best. I can not even eat Ahi anymore... and I'm from Hawaii! If you are coming from Eugene area there is an Asian store there on 126 on the way to the coast.
Huh? So Kayaking in the harbor, shots of Harris Beach, Big wave show at Indian Sands in the Samuel H. Boardman Park which is amazing and SUP on the Rogue river is not something you are interested in?
I enjoyed your video on Brookings.
Impressively portrayed....simply screams of a visit, adventure, excellent dining...perhaps even to relocate, exquisite.
