2000 Elo Chess Isn't That Good...

- In this video, I will show you what it is like to play 2000 Elo Chess badly. I wasn't playing my best and was missing tactics. Even though I can get awesome games where I feel like a GM, not all of my games are hard-fought wins and sometimes I get really lucky. Hope you see my honesty in my games and enjoy the content! Peace!

i just reached 2k elo feeling myself and now i got this random dude shitting on me
just imagine how I feel at 1.8k elo
@@awa-0174I am 1800 too
I am at 0.5k
I am at 1k
@@SuhbanIo 💀
Great games and great analysis. I also felt on top of the world when I peaked at 2000, but then you watch GMs effortlessly tear apart 2000s with seemingly basic chess and you realize how many levels there are to this game. 2000 is still top 0.1% of all players so it can't be too bad lol, you're doing great brother
@@ItsJCrew 2k used to be a lot pre pandemics, but as the number of players increased exponentially it is a little easier to get points. I would say now from 2100 or 2150 is good.
@@ItsJCrew you have to remember that ELO doesn't mean quality, it is the number of players you are better, if there are 1 million of new players, we will be probably better than most of them because they will have to learn and out ELO will jump, but not our quality
you give me gotham chess vibes
This guy isnt a jew, so he 100% better
@@LinkoLankao fr
Yeah you can tell he’s watched a fair bit of gotham chess
2000 online elo is roughly 1600 FIDE; the guys who are 2200 ELO FIDE are like 2400-2600 online. Hikaru, for exasmple, is 2880 FIDE ELO in blitz, but online he is 3100. Online elo is too inflated because there are a lot more of players
I'm 2300 Blitz, but only 1988 FIDE
From 1950 fide onwards you can get as high as like 2600 online since the difference in level isnt felt as much between 2000s on a good day and a grandmaster on a bad one . But generell 1900s go up to like 2300 2400 is my feeling. On my best days i was like 2570 smth (now 2450) and im nearing 2100 otb and i would like to think i play better than that atm.
Theres also a massive difference between rapid and blitz for that matter im speaking about blitz
What i meant to say is youll find fms or 2300sotb from 2200 online on. So the rules you can apply on below 2200 do not apply above
Awesome analysis, best wishes for your over the board games coming up!
2:39 you calculated all those moves in 4 seconds?
Or in the 30 second the opponent took to play that sad knight move back which did nothing to adresse his plan.
2000 FIDE? Or 2000 online? 2000 online is basically 1500 Real elo.
True, especially, 2000 Rapid, it isn't that impressive. 2000 Blitz is a bit stronger than 2000 Rapid too. 2000 FIDE>>>2000 Blitz>2000 Rapid
As opossed to imaginary ELO? 😂
More seriously, it has nothing to do with the "reality" of the rating, but with "reality" of the formats, number of players and statics.
Is more difficult to gain elo when you have a smaller pool of players playing a small number of tournaments. Online platforms let's people play 24/7, without fees, against much more people.
So yes, a 1500 Fide could very easily reach 2000 online, but it has nothing to do with the "reality" of the ratings. Elo scores are relative to the group of players and number games, and thus, should be different.
I'm 2000 online and 1900 FIDE, so I disagree
Its really impossible to avoid inaccuracies
Youre might just be having a bad day
Specifically if he's in blitz mode in a rapid game
Great analysis Awesome video you explaination is good and easy to understand
Man you so underrated keep it hp i hope you succes with chess and youtube
The white’s white bishop shoots at his own pawns, you could say that he is a pawn. That is the reason why it’s bad. The black’s knight on e5 is well-placed and puts pressure on your center. That is why he shouldn’t trade his good knight for the bad bishop! Only if pawns get out of bishop’s way and he will start to do his job, only then black should consider taking it!
im seeing lot of comments saying that FIDE elo is better than online elo.
i didnt understand the rating system very well yet.. can someone explain me how i see my FIDE elo?
Okay FIDE rating is over the board rating. So there is a 200-300 difference between online and over the board. 2000 online = 1700 1800 FIDE.
Also you must play FIDE rated tournaments to get one. Usually they are done through your national chess federation

I'm 2300 Blitz, I can attest to you that I'm still a beginner player ;)
Send this to Levy for his Guess the elo, it would make him cry 😂
Online ratings are obviously not that good, or representative as for example fide rating, which is tournament based. Its become more like a grind, keep winning 55 to 45 and youll keep climbing.
I liked the F pawn push too!
Good luck for the tournaments
Im 1500, and there were 2 identical games where i reached 98% accuracy, but it was traxler counterattack and the whole game was theoretical up to the checkmate
Very nice game
it's a rapid game btw... ofc gm are way better but even them make blunders in this time interval. Nobody expects from a 2000 to calculate every line in 10 mins
Well of course and that’s the point I am getting. I also specifically mentioned the 2000s alone because we are decent in strength but a comparable difference to 2100s and 2200s
But at least 2400 isn’t bad and there is still hopes to achieving it if u hit 2000 fast 💯
As a 2000 myself I agree
2000 is trash,
-hikaru
this was good , got to learn from mistakes of both sides
The opening that your opponent played is the Kings indian, not the modern. The modern is the queens pawn.
Chesscom said it was a modern defense so I am going by what it says
Wtf are you talking about? You cant play the kings indian vs e4
Moderen is crazy
Playing against knights is a knightmare for me
2000 rapid online=1400 FIDE do you actually expect yourself to be VERY GOOD?
Little bit of an exaggeration on that 2000 rapid is more 1700 FIDE but its still competitive.
No, you’re wrong! Just came here to say that.
This game was a blunder fest. We need to see more games to judge your level. Especially low time controls aren't that insightful to tell your skills.
i think if u need to improve u should start thinking more in depht and more concrete
well overall i think that elo means nothing nowadays, its really stupid. so many cheaters and etc
@@pexo2542 So you are saying all 2000s cheat?
@@TheTakenName no but there is a ton of cheaters and its a problem, chess websites should look into. rather than just banning an account they maybe should do a hwid ban or at least an ip ban right?
Mate, 2000 elo chess is good. That’s why you’re not 2100. You just reached 2000 calm down, bozo.
I liked the video
Shut up bot
Nah, even 2300 is trash
Is “share fair of mistakes” a joke? Lol
pls coach me🙏
I saw a guy that's like 2000 elo and he is like god(I think he is cheating(not you, hte guy that I saw))
Post your losses
2000 rapid isn't that good* Prob like 1600 blitz/bullet max
better than you im willing to bet xD
Depends on the person. I know people who are 1600 both on rapid and blitz.
The skills necessary for both time controls are definitely different: there's no doubt 2000 rapids have many strengths, but maybe not the strengths that translate well in blitz.
Bruu but i get 80 accuracy and im only 400 elo
He would probably get a 100 against a 400. It’s easier to play the right move when then enemy actually makes mistakes
Accuracy means nothing…it’s more the understanding of the games not just how well you played according to the computer
Accuracy is relative only to your own games.
