I think the skull head is supposed to be a reference to the original concept art which had a helmeted skull on the ground, and was included as a prop with the Classics figure, and Mattel included it as a fully usable head with this guy.
@Takeshi357 Yeah, the new skull is now a head that is just reused from the Skeleton Warriors pack. The Classics had that Skull added as part of the art. I mentioned all that with images in the review. I was just unclear of the original idea of the Shull for the Classics aside, adding it from the art. I don't know if it was supposed to be another head like the Origins now has done. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍
Great review once again mate. My Demo-Man just turned up today, one of the last few I'm gonna be getting due to lack of space now. I must say, I have no idea how you managed to get the elbow pad off. Mine is totally stuck together. I nearly ripped my own finger nail off, while ill-advisedly using a screwdriver to force it off at the tab. Lucky the tab didn't break, but the pad is still on there.
@The_Cosmic_Yog-Sothoth Thanks for watching another review! Congrats on getting your Demo-Man in hand now. Yeah, space is always an issue collecting these figures. Maybe try a blow dryer on low heat to soften that elbow piece and see if it can then be removed. It sounds like it was glued on, or the paint became sticky when the figure was being produced and the elbow pad stuck on that area on your figure.
@@Themanchlid Wow, I managed to remove the elbow pad, after a ton of effort. Haha, never doing that again. The peg just seems too big for the hole on mine. Yeah, hot water or a blow drier method would have been a better option I guess. I'm glad yours was less lethal haha.
Thank you for watching as always! I try to remember or research some of the concepts or story ideas of some of these figures. Sometimes, there's different pieces of information or plots that have differences in the back story. But it's all fun in the end.👍
Ordered this as soon as it went live on Mattel Creations website. Finally got him last week! Glad I ordered him. He's a great figure but there is room for improvement. I think the issue with the head is a universal thing. Mine has it too. The Skeletor head has it too but it's not as bad as the Demo-Man head. I put the Skeletor head on an extra Skeletor I bought. Planning on doing a full Alcala Skeletor custom at some point.
@nerdicwarrior Thanks for checking out my review and sharing your figure haul updates! I'm glad to hear you ordered your figure and like the design overall aside from the look with the main Demo Man head. It's not perfect compared to the Classics, but I think it does what it should for a line like the Origins, which is supposed to be somewhat simpler than Masterverse or Classics figures. Everyone has their own taste or preference with the design of certain figures or head sculpts. The perfect He-man or Skeletor head is always that case. I don't mind the Demo-Man head design personally. But the Extra Skeletor Alcala head and Skeleton is a great added option for people who don't want to use the Regular Demo head! .
This guy looks awesome!! Had him on my wish list since the start of origins. So happy we got him. Can’t wait to get mine in hand. Hope you’re feeling better, brother!
He is an awesome addition to the Origins line. I like the idea that they are bringing certain figures in from the Classics or early concepts. Hopefully, you will get your figure very soon. I hanging in there with my affliction! Thanks for asking and watching as always 👍
@@Themanchlid health always comes first, but I always love getting that notification that a man child review is up, brother. @TheWandifan True that brother! Health is everything! It's difficult, but I'm doing the best that I can! I always appreciate your views and comments. Mattel did say they promised to finish up all the vintage figures for the Origins. Time will tell! I think they are really gonna focus on the TOG, Cartoon Collection, and POP going forward. It seems like we will only see a couple of inspired Origins figures this year and maybe more next year.
Sweet! I got 3 on the way, but wish I could order another one. I wanna display with all 3 heads and of course one to keep sealed. I know the limit is 3 but if it hasn’t sold out in days they should let us order again. A sale is a sale!

Hallo Manchild! Yes, we have ordered him! I like the viking style of this figure. Yesterday i bought Vypor too, but only because he looked cool in box (more style than "masters")... whatever. Still no Terroar/Grasp/FF Triklops! Wave in sight (listed for november). FF Trap Jaw should also come next week? TOGs are still coming on time and are still pegwarmers in our stores... but if you need an FF-Figure, i wish you good luck. Origins (International Card) = "Waveshuffle" (Random)
Thanks for stopping in iliasfog8857 and sharing that info about the Turtles of Grayskull and putting your Preorders in for three of these figures. I think this Demo-Man is a good choice for another Origins figure to join the collection while we wait and wait for the other vintage figures to come forward. I don't mind seeing more concept figures or Classics figures. Nice finds on Vypor! He is probably one of the coolest looking Snakemen figures now. I'm surprised you haven't seen Terroar or Lord Gr'asp yet. They are common here online or in certain Walmarts stores. I'm gonna wait for the regular release TOG instead of the international carded ones.
@@Themanchlid FF Origins and sometimes even CC Origins are not always coming to toy discounters in a regular manner or some figure is missing or comes later (International Card like most of our collections are (except Creation Figures)). But TOG Origins are coming out (for sale) like a plague and don't sell at all (International Card). If Terroar and Grasp are not coming next 2 months...its over - then there will never be a international card or they never where delivered to europe and are still for example in the US BBTS Store to order (=stupid).
@iliasfog8857 I would think Terroar and Lord Gr'asp are coming to Europe! I guess it depends on the distribution and what places have preorders such as Smyths. I'm not sure what type of card they will come on this late from the USA to overseas orders.
I love this line but at this point I'm getting frustrated with it from the mounting missed figures over the years between poor distribution or missed Creations exclusives. I dunno.
@imj3688 I appreciate the view and hearing your thoughts on this line. Yeah, many Motu collectors also really love this line but have difficulties trying too many figures because of distribution, costs, and missed exclusives as well. I chase many figures on eBay to have newer stuff for review earlier if I can. Other figures I preorder from BBTS or Mattel Creations when I can catch the sale. It's definitely a lot of chasing sometimes online at different places to get many of these figures. It's the nature of the beast with this collection sometimes.
We need the rest of the Powers of Grayskull sub-line now. He-Ro, Eldor, Vikor, Origins Vykron, Strobo, Sharella, Lady Grayskull seen in that mini comic and D'Vann Grayskull with Veena from the original 200X series! 😮 Maybe the rest of the Elders, definitely that Elder figure that's supposed to come with Eternia playset. 😊
@@Themanchlid I think at this point, they need to focus more on the figures instead of the oversized playsets. Snake Lair was a cool concept but I think they over did it. 🤔
The reviews on this guy are poping up fast. I'm still waiting on mine. Placed my order for him on Day 1. Gonna be giving my Skeletor an upgrade with that extra head as soon as I get it. I noticed the feet look like the cartoon collection Mer-Man figure's feet.
@nerdicwarrior Yeah, these are shipping fast, and many people are reviewing their figures, including myself. That head makes a great upgrade for Skeletor. The feet look like that might be Mer-Man feet from that cartoon line
Got my Demo-Man delivered on Saturday and just opened the “shipper box” yesterday to inspect it. Very cool figure although I would prefer they just stick to releasing the remaining vintage figures to get them out of the way. The next exclusive is almost certainly going to be Geldor before we get Rio Blast. Origins has for the most part moved past its original direction and is now focusing mainly on the Cartoon Collection and the crossovers. At this point, it just really feels like they’re dragging the line out as long as possible with more Snake Men and deep cuts that don’t hold a lot of nostalgic value. As far as the head goes, I’ve noticed it happening quite a bit with many of the heads on these figures where the ball joints start wobbling around after pulling the heads off just once or twice. After having now played with my son with these figures over the summer, I’m starting to really dislike the way the ball joints were designed. Sometimes I have to pull really hard to remove the parts, so much so that the ball joint feels loose. Even when pulling off the arms, I’m always paranoid that hairline cracks are forming where the shoulder seams can be seen. I don’t even want to take them apart anymore for that very reason, but my son actually likes the mixing and matching aspect. I probably need to use clear nail polish just to tighten a lot of the loose joints which is something that collectors shouldn’t need to do. The only “quality control” issue the vintage figures ever had was the rubber band legs, which was just normal wear and tear after repetitive play. Last thing I’ll add is the constant re-use of the accessories. Currently, I have all the loose accessories in a bunch of Zip-Loc bags grouped together in various waves so that I have a rough idea of what goes with what. But it gets tedious when my son grabs hold of the bags and dumps everything out on the floor…so now I need to take them away because some of the accessories get mixed up with each other, which is especially annoying when a nearly identical shade of paint is being used on the same accessory from a different figure. Perfect examples are the 3 different Sun-Man figures: I didn’t realize that the shields for each one have a slightly different shade of yellow. Plus, the smaller accessories can easily get lost with a 4-year-old running around. This is why I have to document everything with a picture to look at later. 🙄 I guess the point I’m trying to make is, I wish they would change up the accessories more often or at the very least make each one look as different as possible to make it easier to figure out what goes with what. How many silver-colored axes and blades do we really need? And I thought that alternative helmeted head looked like the one they used for the Skeleton Warriors, so thanks for confirming that. I like it a lot, although it looks a tad small on that buck. The alternative “ruby-eyed” Skeletor head is a nice touch, but again, why have it look nearly identical to Keldor’s alternative head? They get mixed up, it’ll be harder to tell the difference. That pesky OCD can be a real annoyance at times. Anyway, thanks for listening to my rambling. Great review as always. ~Damon
@FandomEntanglement Thanks for checking out another review and sharing your figure hauls and thoughts on this Demo-Man figure. Yes, many of us would prefer the rest of those vintage figures first. Rio Blast probably isn't going to be on sale at Mattel Creations for a while. I agree that Geldor will probably be next or a Masterverse figure, such as the Horde trooper or Panthor. Modulok will probably be going up for Preorder at Amazon soon. He now has a speculated release date around January from Amazon. But will see! I didn't mind seeing this figure added to the Origins line from the Classics. He has an interesting design and colors. The ball peg is also very loose mine as I showed. It's something with that head. I used nail polish to tighten it better. As far as weapons, He comes with that sword that's been used a few times now. However, the Larger Ball mace does look new. It's cool that they included that other skull as a head. But again, it's just a Skeleton Warriors head but white, as you know now. I know what you mean about all the weapons and extra accessories in bags or storage. It comes with collecting today. And lines like the Origins are full of reused parts and accessories.
Bro I wish you collected the WWE Superstars line too. I enjoy your videos and enjoy those figures so I would love to hear your thoughts on them, swapping parts and such.
@bluraycaper Thanks for watching, bro! The WWE line is definitely cool. I have some loose parts I picked up on eBay for some of my Origins figures. But I was really never into that line. I appreciate your interest and comments👍
@@heinzaut Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah that would have been cool. But I think a skull like that would be more be better with another Origins Keldor figure. @nikoszparaszkevopulosz5522 Thanks for checking out the review. Yeah, unfortunately, this is another Mattel Creations USA exclusive figure that is pricy to ship outside the US. Thanks for the info on the Skeleton head. I couldn't remember what the idea of that head was for. There's mixed info online about it.
@geffeternal741 Yes, Modulok is gonna be an Amazon exclusive to start, which will sell out quickly! I'm sure other retailers will also be allowed to add Preorders after Amazon has the first Run, which is a month or two after the figures release. This happened with the Mini book Man e faces. I bet Modulok on eBay will auction for over $ 300 to start if the Preorders sell out fast on Amazon and then those people get the figure and put it up on eBay first.

@bluraycaper Thanks for watching, bro! The WWE line is definitely cool. I have some loose parts I picked up on eBay for some of my Origins figures. But I was really never into that line. I only collect stuff I'm really passionate about. I like to be honest about my reviews and the figures. I don't collect things just to buy or review if I'm not into it. I appreciate your interest and comments👍
That morning star is the exact mold as the MotuClassics Demo-Man came with! I thought it was just Pig-Head's recolored. 🤨🤔😎
Interesting! Thanks for watching and pointing that out!👍
would have been awesome if he´d came with that skeletor head where he´s have in the green flames.
@@heinzaut Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah that would have been cool. But I think a skull like that would be more be better with another Origins Keldor figure. That transformation was Keldor to Skeletor with the face melting in the 200x show. So I didn't expect to see that included with this figure.
Good to know he was originally a Conan villain
@WhiteLongSword7 Thanks for watching! Yeah, I think I also heard he was inspired as a conan series villain.
Got my 3 yesterday
Awesome hauls on all three of those figures! Thanks for watching 👌
Apreshiate it great work as always wish was not so hard geting MC in europe its the rise of evil head the extra skeletor head
Cool one!
@@eltenda 👍
Modulok an Amazon exclusive!?!! 😮
That means eBay route then! 😞
Cool figure
@connorstoytime Yeah, I think he looks good for this Origins line 👍
Agreed
@@connorstoytime 👍
Demo man was originally going to be skeletor.
He was planned as a villain or a skeletor type character as the 80s Motu story was coming together.
Thanks for watching 👌
Nice review👍...Why in the hell would beastman come with no beast feet but ninjor has beast feet...looki ng at demo mans feet made me get worked up 😂 like those feet especially on any animal creature style MOTU 🤷♂️🤟
@tommywalker5348 Thanks for checking out the review! It's interesting the choices they made for the feet of certain figures!
Have you tried swapping with Stinkor? The colour works pretty well and it makes more sense - for me at least - that way round.
@jamesb3746 No, I didn't get involved with any parts swapping with stinkor. I just tried to stick to the Skeletor and Keldor Theme like the comic .
Ran man vs. Demon
@@HectorGarcia-g3t 👍
Awesome man, this is the first MC I have skipped.
Just have zero intrest in Demo Man
Thanks for watching already and being honest on this figure. I think he works well for the Origins, but probably not for everyone! Always support the figures you like and walk away from the figures you don't like!👍
First😂
@@TheRickster1 Nice!👍
@@Themanchlid I order mine
@TheRickster. I'm glad to hear that, Rickster! I think he fits in perfect with the Origins. After all, he could have been a vintage figure in the 80s.👍
@@Themanchlid He looks like his creator lol Mark Taylor, no disrepect
@TheRickster. Yeah, some of the features have a slight appearance to Mark Taylor a bit. Maybe that's was intentional.
Splinters head comes off real easy too
@lonny5841 Yeah, my Splinter figure also had that problem too. Thanks for checking out the review 👍
THIS GREEN DUDE LOOKE LIKE HE CAME RIGHT OUT OF THE PIRATES OF THE CARREBEAN MOVIES WITH JOHNNY DEPP(adam ant song please - JOLLY ROGER),.......OH AND WHERE DID YOU GET IT TARGET OR WALMART?.........marius(pun rules).
I remember when that first pirates movie came out. I can see some of the inspiration mixed in this design. I got him at Mattel Creations as an Exclusive that ended a few days ago.
