Ceilings and floors have to be such a pain to redo - you did very well to make them look great. I admire your garden and goal to be self sustaining. Fresh from the garden always taste the best. Chateau kids are so lucky to learn so many skills and to participate in bringing life into the chateau. They will have skills and memories forever.
Holly did a fantastic job painting! I always love seeing your kitchen garden. We had that sweltering heat here in TN too. Now we are getting rain 🤦♀️. But thankful for the temps to at least be in the mid lower 80s here. Very excited to hear this secret!
Hi there Leanne and Julien. My goodness your temperatures. We are around 31 now and at 12-14 at night. Hope you get some more livrable temperatures soon. Love the bedroom and your garden is superb! For this year, we have 5 tomato plants, courgettes and cucumbers. Maybe more next year. Great vlog and hang in there! Hugs from Colombe. 💗😘💗
Your garden is fabulous. Hope Holly likes her room. It looks lovely so far. All the English chateau owners with you tube channels are talking about the extreme heat. Just one of those years I guess. During our summers, if I woke up at dawn I would get up and put a couple of hours in the garden before the sun touched me. Being fair haired I then got the heck out of it for the rest of the day. Big step - first guests. Best wishes from Australia.

Wanted to mention .. zucchini can be grated (like cheese)…and cooked in a iron skillet with butter … also grated zucchini can be put in bags and frozen .. they are a little watery but can be drained when defrosting.. yellow squash can be frozen in baggies .. you are definitely hard working and it will be worth it .. one day at a time 😊

Great produce! Just wondering why you would buy plastic tables when living in a chateau? You could surely find beautiful old wooden tables locally probably cheaper and more fitting.
Our main table is marble, so we wanted a quick wipe table for children that matched - it’s a table that will only be in position for a few weeks of the year! More than this being a ‘chateau’ this is a home and business and we have to choose what’s right for the purpose in that instance. Thank you for watching!

If you put straw down it will keep your garden neat,weed free, retain water and it is biodegradable and will loosen your soil.
