on the real, farris was my idol, hes the reason i started to ride basic, i used to have the small town hick & auroa, &both were pink! y did he quit? id love to get his autograph.
i was never that impressed with alot of flatland riders but Andrew Farris was immense, i loved his pink bike he was riding at one stage. Cool vid. I take it he won this?
@Smell8 he's moved on and last i talked to him he was restoring old volkswagen buses, and karmann ghias. in about 2007, he came out and watched a bunch of the flat riders at the fringe festival .. and he was on a volume/demolition complete he got through flow for nothing. he said at that time that he was riding but not interested in filming or exposure. fair enough! dude rips.
I remember in the mags, this guy was doing halfcab tailwhips back when only a HANDFUL (at most) of the burliest pros could do a regular bunnyhop whip (called whoppers back in the day). And on a 40lb bike none the less.
Modern flatland is soo much more complicated than this....but it kinda' all looks the same. Andrew Farris was an original. NO ONE rode like him, before OR after. Jesse Puente and Andrew Farris will always be my favorite riders.
its a great loss that we dont see from him anymore..him and paul osicka
video quality is insane

The backwards halfhiker switch to backpacker is insane..... (3:13 to 3:15)
He used to come practice while we skated death banks.. loved watching!

Ricky Ramos Nah they just spin in circles faster. Matthias is nice though.
Look up Perry Mervar.
quite the opposite, modern flatland is boring, they all do the same 10 tricks, very little imagination
