Mike Leach has completely taken over football. There is a use for an RB in this system, just not what it used to be. you need a relatively fast guy who can run, block, and catch equally well.
This is why teams like the Chargers, the Giants, and Raiders aren’t going to do shot with their current schemes. Running Back is a Stupid Position, Why Run through a Group of Fatties , When you can Line up in the Slot
And have better chance of getting a release.
Pretty soon their going to take the Quarterback position out🤷🏾♂️
I'm not buying it. There are plenty of rbs fine with 5,6 7, 9 mill salary. James white from pats, perfect example. Compare teams that overpay these rbs vs ones who don't
Who wins more
Its Definitely Gonna Happen!!!!!😖😖😖😖😖
QB's r the new RB's
Yes, except the ravens didn't want to pay him because he won't hold up over time because he's a run happy qb.
@@josiahrhodes3981That's what makes RBs important. They can hold up and bring physicality to the offence. Might as well put flags on the skill positions and only allow contact for blocking.
Linebackers will be gone as well.
I doubt it, but they may be a bit too heavy
Well, to be fair, what do we expect?
I mean, which of us would think it wise to drop $30+ million/YEAR on a RB...
Just to watch them get injured (within the 1st 2 years of their career(s)).
Look at Barkley.
When he was on that one body temp Science show, he was being touted as a potential Bo Jackson redux.
I'll stop myself before going in on the topic of recent QB pay debacles lOl.
Point is, at the end of the day, it's a sport & some folks are somewhere between greedy & no knowing how to Fairly calculate their True worth.
How about Lineman?
How much do they make?
Especially Center's; they take INSANE amounts of Damage *&* are (essentially) the Gate Keepers of the entire actual sporting event.
Lamar Jackson is not a running back. RBs ain’t going nowhere, if a RB is *good enough* he’ll get a check, these RBs aren’t that good. Saquan got hurt as soon as he got into the NFL, Derek Henry is BIG but he’s not agile. Josh Jacobs is “good” but he ain’t *great!* SUPPLY & DEMAND… if an ELITE RB was available (that easily got 200+ yards/game, that *easily* got 10/15 yards on 3rd down, *he’d get the big check!* Step Yo Game Up Running Backs, stop complaining. Are any of those RBs better than Lamar Jackson? Hell naw! Step Yo Game Up
Just make RBs not affect the salary cap or something
In 5 years they'll come back around when d fences forget how to to tackle them
WRs are hurt just as much as RBs😂 this is silly
ban, nope, running back position is not gonna ban ever
It's a free market system. It's the going rate. It is what it is. RB position aint going any where.
So Derrick Henry already a qb got it. Man’s a size of a bulder
Halfbacks finna fall off just like the Fullbacks
Yes there will still be RBs. There’s just not gonna be long term deals because RBs can fall off really fast with how the game works today. The days of the skat-back that doesn’t take many hits are long gone. Look at Todd Gurley. Look at Zeke. Best in the game at one point, signed huge contracts, fell off a year or two later. They’ll get paid stacks but on a 2 year contract.
