Thanks Daniel! Yep all is well, but it's really good to be back. I don't like being away that long. Great to see you... appreciate you watching and chiming in brother!
my man Fuzz is back bringing the heat!!!!!! glad to see you back my friend and hope all is well! Robocop 2 made my list of best 4ks of the year so far -it did look great!
Aww thanks so much! Great to hear from you! Yep exactly... sometimes we just have to focus on family. But I'm glad to be back, and I'm looking forward to getting back into the groove. Thanks for chiming in and watching!
I really liked Blown Away. And yes, it was a cable staple back in the day. It would have been bigger in theaters, I feel, had another little terrorist with a bomb movie not come out a few weeks before....Speed. The younger-summer movie crowd preferred the flashier, hotter Bullock/Reeves combo vs the seasoned Bridges/Jones. Might pick up the 4k, thanks for the review.
Oh that's right... I forgot that was the same year Speed came out. I saw Speed in the theaters at the time, but not this one. But yeah, Speed was a bit more "hip" with the hot young cast and Bullock catching the attention of so many American men LOL! I can totally see how that would've overshadowed Blown Away. Thanks for watching and weighing in!
I was pleasantly surprised by robocop 2014, it definitely went its own way and didn’t try to duplicate the original which I respect, just think they should’ve gone for the R-rating, Dredd proved that going for the R rating can pay off. I love Blown Away, one of my favorite 90’s films growing up. Tommy Lee jones played that role perfect. I felt the mid 90’s is when he was at his height, besides No Country for Old Men lol. Great reviews my friend.
Hey Jorden great to see you! Yeah I agree that RoboCop 2014 would've been better if they'd gone for a hard R. In fact, that was something I meant to mention in the video, but it slipped my mind. I always prefer the more R-rated route wherever possible, just generally speaking. I really like it when other comic movies take that harder approach as well... like with Deadpool or Zack Synder's Justice League, etc. We need more R-rated comic movies! Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting my friend.
@@TheOriginalFuzz of course, I loved Zach Snyder Watchmen, I know he gets alotta hate, but honestly the guy knows what he wants and goes for it. He has a great artistic vision that blends perfectly with comic books. Another good one was Sin City 1&2. Btw new Deadpool and Wolverine was epic lol
@@Tetuanjet Yep I feel the same way about Zack Snyder. I love his vision and the aesthetic of his films. He's got a cool style. Man of Steel was pretty killer as well (and I do also have Watchmen too). Great to hear about the new Deadpool... I have/enjoyed the first two films, so I'll look forward to checking that one out once it comes to 4K (I don't get out to theaters very often these days).
Hey Fuzz. Not going to lie, I watched this video in 3 installments. The weather has been beautiful here in Ontario Canada and I have be taking advantage of the outdoors. As always enjoy your thoughts on new 4k titles. I was actually quite surprised Robocop 2014 got a 4k release. I did enjoy the movie, but will not double dip on this one unless it drops considerably in price. The packaging to me looks like a regular DVD. Lol. I have however been in a Joel Kinnaman mood lately, watching a lot of his movies. I am also happy not owning Robocop 2. I was never really a fan of the sequel and never actually purchased it to own on any format. 1 time watch for me. I am interested in Navy Seals, but vaguely remember it. Until I heard of Blown Away being released in 4k I had completely forgotten about it. Might have to check that one out. I over spent during Prime Days so I am in a bit if recovery mode. Lol. Glad to see you back my friend 🤘
Hey Dwayne! Thanks for commenting... great to see you! I totally know what you mean about watching the video in installments... I do that myself all the time with other channels I watch. Lol! And this was a pretty long video. Am I remembering right that I think it may have been you who indicated to me that RoboCop 2014 was worth checking out? If so, it stuck with me and factored into my decision to pick it up. But I think that's probably the right call on not upgrading. I wouldn't have either if I'd already had the blu. And I totally understand what you're saying about RoboCop 2... it's not for everyone, and it does pale in comparison to the original. But I still enjoyed it enough to upgrade. I would even bother with RoboCop 3 though... I could see the diminishing returns setting in even with RoboCop 2. Blown Away was a lot of fun... I'm glad I picked it up. And yeah, I've definitely had that happen with Prime Day in the past myself. Sometimes the deals are just too good to pass up! Anyway, thanks for watching my friend! I hope you're doing well.
@TheOriginalFuzz Thanks, Fuzz. I am looking forward to your video on 4k/blu ray regrets. That will be fun. We all have those. Lol. And ya, I did recommend Robocop 2014. Sorry you had to buy the 4k, but I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it.
@@dwaynesager1864 Oh cool! Well it turns out, that's actually going to be my next video (Blind buy regrets). In fact, I have it all ready to go and I'll be recording it tomorrow. So hopefully I should have it out within a few days, depending on how long it takes me to edit. And re: Robocop 4K, I like owning films for the first time on 4K, so I'm actually glad it worked out that way.
interesting that your background outside of this is in politics... I have a master's of political science and public admin that I pretty much left behind for teaching history, film and then making movies......I want to see China O'Brien now to see how that leans...intriguing
Oh right on Chase. Very cool. Yeah my undergraduate degree was in political science, but I high-tailed it out of there once I got my BA lol... I was ready to be done with college by then. Couldn't get out of there fast enough LMAO!🤣😉 Anyway, the political angle in China O'Brien is nothing too crazy... it's just centered around a local election and campaign. But the plot device serves as kind of microcosm of the types of things we see in campaigns, just on a much smaller scale in the film. I'm probably reading a little more into it than i should (as political junkies are sometimes prone to do LOL!🤣😉 ), but I just thought it was kind of cool and found it to be entertaining. Thanks for watching and chiming in brother!
@@AVAPopCulture Thanks man. Let me know what you think when you watch China 1. They're fun movies. And yeah, if you're anything like me with this stuff, I think it's probably in our nature to read into and pick up on certain things when they come up in movies, shows, etc. (just, from a slightly different perspective than maybe the average person who doesn't necessarily have the same background or follow this stuff on a regular basis). Appreciate you man!
So good to get another Fuzz video! Hope things are going better for you and all is well man.
