In order to fully commit to something, you need direction. The way I helped myself become more consistent was to write what I wanted to do down and WHY I wanted to do it. You can always say to yourself in your mind that you're going to do something and then do it for a little while but, not having real direction in your thinking is what makes consistency hard.

    Notes:
    How to build concestency
    1. When Take step off path, Excersise ur willpower, decipline, to stop When u make mistake, might as well do it some more and get back on track later. Then tell urself this is it for real ur done(often happens wi diets when they cheat their diets)
    2. Establish a stronger why. Find stronger desire. Find goals that push you to do better.
    3. Visualize the future of yourself. What would it look like if you never concestient enough to be the best version of you. What path would that take?where would you be? What would you do?who would you be?How would ur life be, dif?
    4. Don't forget. Whatever will keep you from forgetting your why will keep you concestient
    5. Believe in yourself. Don't self sabotage. Invision the best version of you with lots of details. Describe what it would be like if u achieved your goals
    6. Shift self identity. Don't Obsessed over consistency. Don't view as challange "wow I made it this far, cuz I'm type of person who dose this" just seeing how long you can go without doing it still taking identity of someone who dose that bad habit.
    7. Move one. Don't look back. Aviod Reminding yourself( of the bad habit)Remembering what to avoid reminds yourself to push, doing the thing ur not supposed to do.
Take responsibility. Be honest with yourself. Your actions are 100% your fault. Don't feel hopeless. You have full control over the consistency you desire

I want to quit pornography so badly man. I know all the downsides, i've experienced the downsides, now i only want to see the upside of life.
I want to be proud to hold myself accountable by saying to myself:"i dont watch porn".
I dont want to care anymore if its day 5 or day 30 of a streak, because in all honesty everytime i relapsed i felt like the same shitty sloppy zombie anyway.
I'll quit right here and now. I dont want to be hype or motivated to quit, i just want to quit and never look back.

It really feels like I heard from somebody who understands all of what makes consistency so hard, and can even discuss some of the more personal reasons regarding failure like nofap. Thank you for making this brother. I just turned 17, I’ve been working towards the physical image I want as I have always been skinny. I’ve been eating SO MUCH (3500 cal/day) every single day and sometimes it gets tough. I started at 107 pounds and am now at 119, I’m working towards 135. Unhealthy habits involving the internet and laziness because of it have been so tough to avoid but I’m staying strong and having faith in myself, while taking responsibility if I fall. As much as I dislike so much of social media, at times it can be helpful in taking one to a video like this. You helped put me back on track, thank you!

I found there are 2 things for habits/ consistency, and it's down to 2 factors only. 1st is motivation which is so strong it can make people start doing pushups on their bedroom floor at 3am. Everyone has motivation, but it isn't consistent. So the 2nd factor you need, which is almost always missed, is discipline. Because when motivation inevitably drops, you must continue doing this habit even if you do not feel like it which is discipline. These 2 factors work in complete opposites which is the beauty of it. When motivation peaks, discipline isn't needed and when motivation drops, discipline needs to be at its highest. The key to success is genuinely mastering both of those.

    • @jonnovak6856

    onsistency
    1.Meditation
2.binge fallacy->if I fuck up, it’s okay to make mistakes but it’s not okey to repeat them. show discipline and willpower that you don’t want this
3.remind yourself WHY often enough so you don’t forget it
4.picture your antithesis-> what happens if I am not doing this now, if I am not consistent
5.Visualise-> I will act like the sort of person convience yourself to be. Visualize the best case scenario and reprogram your brain that you already achieved it,because then I will not behave like someone who is trying to be successful, I AM somebody who’s successful
->don’t obsess on the streaks or days I stayed consistent, because if I do, I am viewing it as a challenge instead of my lifestyle/ new life. Also if I remind myself over and over again how many days I achieved, I will remind myself what I am trying to avoid, which may result in my mind to further push me into doing the things I am trying to avoid.
->“This is my live now and I am going to do this forever. I will not look back and only keep my eyes forward.“
6.Be brutally honest with yourself and take responsibility(be accountable) -> Everything that happens to me is my responsibility. I can always control how I react. My emotion-> irrational thoughts->reacting a certain way.
