I love my cadac safari chef. I use the hp version and just one bottle of Coleman’s gas has lasted two weeks in France doing every meal on it whilst fishing on the bank. I’ve read many negative reviews on the cleaning of the cooker. I’ve found it is very easy and a good tip is to put some water in the bottom of the fat catcher before using and give it a clean after each use. Takes minutes and hardly takes up any room in the van. Awesome bit of kit and I’m so glad I bought one. I completely missed the separate compartments for the separate cooker tops. 100% recommended this bit of kit
Good video. We have a Safari Chef from around 2006 and I note that it has a different gas valve position to the one in the video. On ours that valve has always made it a pain to pack the barbecue away in its bag. In addition the valve is always working its way loose and is a pain in the rear to take apart in order to tighten up the lock nut. A video on packing ours away satisfactorily would be good.
It goes in a lot better than my last BBQ did which was the Big Safari Chef Cadac, we have got the 2021 Cadac Safari Chef 30 Pro QR BBQ coming in a day or two , the only thing I would say about the Vid is that I would wrap the Regulator in a micro fibre cloth, I think it would rub the coating away on a long journey & it would rattle all the way too, otherwise, great Video for sure it's going to be much easier now !! Thankyou for sharing the Video
Hi Stu, the manuals are created by Cadac in South Africa, which are generic for each country of use. These videos are based on our own UK team's tips and personal use!
I bought the safari chef 2 hp . It worked for a month and then stopped. Will not burn . Cadac customer service no help . It was great then it was not !
So glad you made this, I spent ten minutes trying to work it out this morning 😂

I'm absolutely delighted with this wee BBQ. This pack-it away-video is a great help too. I'd missed those pockets in the lid!
Me too - very helpful, love mine!

Thanks for the feedback Andy, much appreciated! We hope you enjoy your Safari Chef Pro QR!
How interesting. The instructions with my Safari Chef 2 say to pack it away in a completely different order. Basically to put it in upside down!

Very useful, thanks!
Had the cadec for 2 years and didn’t know had the numbers on the legs or the pockets in the bag
Can you store a pizza stone in the bag also?
Hi Tony, you could do yes, in the zipped compartment, but do take care that it doesn't get banged about too much or it could crack the stone.
@@CadacUK would it fit in the chef flat plate?
@@MrToneski1 yes it would fit, the grid bags are approx. 30cm and the pizza stone is 25cm. Thanks
Thanks - that helped!
Can you tell me what size of pizza stone fits this please
Hi Karen, for use with the Safari Chef this would be the 25cm Pizza Stone or the Pizza Stone Pro 30!
@@CadacUK Thank you
Nice video but our bag is a lot tighter than the one in the video.
