Beautiful Julian. What an amazing, sweet man. I think he would be a great dad.
It seems to me that Julian is a very sensitive and sweet man who cares more about his relationship with his father than his father ever did. He has a lot of loyalty to his parents and I really admire that. This man would make a great father!

I wish the White Feather story had ended with him marrying a woman from the tribe. I feel like an ass, Julian must be sick of reading sappy comments like this. If it weren't for that damn song we probably would think nothing of him being single.
Julian's book and photographs are beautiful. Together w his brilliant new music, they bring much-needed focus to our understanding of the environment. Charming, gifted, funny and above all, open to purpose ("white feather" - perhaps a message from John)?! We all need to listen. Please come back to LA and sign more books!!

Julian one more thing your mother had me laughing when she was telling the story about her and Pattie Boyd had to hide in a laundry basket because of the fans they roll them out of the hotel in a laundry basket I was hysterical it was like a take off of Lucy and Ethel great memories

Hi Julian. It's great to see you getting environmental issues out to children. Hopefully it will help raise awareness and create future generations of caring adults who follow your example. Have you thought of adding a CD inside the book ,of you narrating the story as the pages are turned at the sound of a "swoosh" of a birds wing, to the next page of colourful artwork or photographs. Perhaps you singing short, catchy tunes relating to environmental issues, that children can learn and sing along with, thus spreading the message and further raising awareness. You dialogue could be accompanied by nature sounds, ocean waves or waterfalls, or birds singing, or animal calls for example, making a soothing backdrop for the narration. It would almost be like watching a movie, but in book form. You could make a list of little things every child can do, that will make a difference to the earth, teaching them to love, respect and protect it.
I have always hoped a celebrity like yourself, who the world loves and respects, would touch on the need to stop hurting /killing animals. We learn our fear or love or respect for animals at a very young age. We all share this earth and must look out for one another, rather than hurt or destroy what is different to us. Give animals a voice. Educate the younger generation so they learn to protect earth's creatures from abuse, neglect and cruelty, all for profit.The subject of vegetarianism could be addressed and how it is a healthier way to live, helps the environment and and saves so many innocent lives. I'd love to see you do a Heal the Earth movie some day as well. You could cover a lot of sensitive issues in a movie, combing your photography, music and books and bring fellow musicians and artists and nature defenders in on it...David Suzuki, Jane Goodall, Robert Bateman to name a few. You could bring awareness to how people unknowingly make their children part of the problem, by taking them to places that use wildlife for entertainment...like Marineland, where beautiful captured wild sea creatures perform tricks for profit or zoos, where wild animals have lost their freedom and die from boredom being looked at by tourists. These places should be closed down. They give the wrong message and they cause pain and suffering. Someone in the public eye can truly make a difference to subjects rarely approached otherwise....like the fur industry...dolphin slaughter, bull-fighting, shark-finning, dog fighting, dog-eating.festivals..seal-clubbing...it is barbaric. The earth's birds and animals die by the billions at the hands of greedy man, all for the almighty dollar. It is heartbreaking!
Your children's book opens a floodgate of possibilities to do good! I am a huge fan of your music and photography and I respect you for how you are using it to accomplish good. The earth is hurting and people have destroyed so much through greed and a need to control. If your books, music and photography can make a deep enough impression on the world, young and old alike, perhaps there can be healing. That one message your Dad left you with, has turned into something so big and life-altering...for you and for the world. Thank you for all you do and good luck with your future projects! Christine

Jennifer I hate to be a jerk. He is so beautiful inside and that shines outward. A man whose name and face is so famous and he chooses to use it for the good of others.I am an advocate for clean water. I don't know any White men (or Women) who are sincerely working for the betterment of the environment, indigenous peoples, women's issues and even Lupus. Even some of the indigenous with fame get a big head and it becomes more (me me me) and fame. He isn't being like Angelina Jolie and using it as a prop for celebrity.
I actually looked him up to see his marital status. No matter if he is gay or straight he is a keeper!! It would be a privilege to know a human being that is so grounded and focused! No one works with the indigenous people of Australia or the people of Southeast Asia! I wonder if he knew about Standing Rock? If he did he most likely donated autonomously. Sign up for his White Feather Foundation! I did. I am not sure how/when I can help. I was involved the CIA Cowboy and Indian Alliance - protesting Keystone XL and NO DAPL but not on the front lines. I'm in the mental health profession in the U.S. Due to the funding cuts I have had to stop my activism until I can get financially stable again. I am inspired and hopeful seeing his art and commitment! #WhiteFeather!
