“I’m not scared hurt, I scared lose.”
Pornsanae Sitmonchai -
a decorated legend;
a fearless lion in the ring;
a man of contrasts.
The intimidating, larger than life presence of Pornsanae in the ring belies a sheepish fanboy as he laughed in embarrassment at the idea of fighting his idol, Muay Thai GOAT Saenchai.
The intense energy when he hits pads with his trainer conceals the prankster older brother he is to his camp junior Thepnimit (Jun).
Pornsanae’s fights are almost always explosive, wildly entertaining, and rarely ends with a decision. He was the original star of his camp, popularising the famed aggressive Sitmonchai-style of hard punches, devastating low kicks, and big display of heart in the ring.
Fighting with an aggressive and pressurizing style does come with its trade-offs though. Pornsanae talks about the dangers to his life and health, and the sacrifices he had to make for his rise to the top.

Interesting how you touch on his style the big boxing combinations followed by the hard low kick defines the sitmonchai style wen people say thaiboxing is just about hard single shots there wrong the sports evolved alot know you av people like yodsinklai who definitely falls into the single hard left kick category but alot of fighters throw big combinations know like seksan and alot of others
@@diefamilieunsereheimat9943 these days, do you know the originele start of this "sport"?
Thanks dude. Great vid
@Tommy L I think it's bovy sor odomsum I can only think about him ,the guy was punch drunk 1nd keep fighting it was painfull to watch.
Hey kenshin, how about a video for stan the man longinidis
This documentary is great to a level people cannot imagine. For me, one of the most amazing parts is how you talk with him about dementia and head trauma, very sincere, very worrying, no shit, very pure.
Thai people. Muai Thai Fighters. Amazing. I had the best time of my life in the land of smile!!
tell me more about your trip!

I love thai humility.. I train in muay thai when I was 13 years old start. My 1st teacher 19 years old just beat me up all day. I didn't understand it was to make me test heart. I'm so angry I bite him...his father saw this and train me private for 7 years. Treat me like family, feed me..thai people if they like you are very kind people. If they dont , well! 🙏🏼
I trained under him for a little while. Maybe a little over year? Back in 2014, 2015, 2016. He was my favourite instructor by far.
I wasn't the biggest guy nor the most skilled. But his encouragement, the padwork I did with him, was such an exhilirating feeling. I never felt tired with him. I always pushed and pushed. I felt like an absolute machine.
Not only a great fighter, but a great teacher as well.
That last bit at the end with his friend, :') that def looks like a 20 year friendship
Yeah that puts a smile on your face
Real friend's alway's Smileys the are afraid of u sry bad english
Luckily that's not the friend he murdered.
Thailand is my second home I've never been to a country where people are so hospitable they have big hearts
@Gathka Master have you ever been to the United States? Lmao
@Gathka Master Thailand is very corrupt yes. Not a place to go travelling alone that's why you just go to the gym and stay there
Do you advice to visit Tailand?
@Gathka Master my friend after 6⃣ months stranded here due to the pandemic I can completely understand your sentiments..
@@Denis-cp2zq definitely not at the moment I've been stranded here due to the pandemic and its not tourist friendly at the moment 😲
One of my favourite fighters. His hard hitting no fear style is a joy to watch win or lose.
winner is the fan!
Beautiful work man. Many don't know these legends so it's nice to show their stories. Like p'nae said , nowadays it's easier for fighters to fight in lumpinee or raja but back in the days it was tough and the ultimate achievement for those fighters , so it's good to know the names and stories of the few that reached those heights .
Also a legend ramon dekker fought many times there, a long time ago, thats a big achievement for a not Thai
Golden era fighters were all killers.
I'm so glad I watched this. Very humbling friends are brother's that never forget about mama & papa (family). What a story, thank you for sharing. Very heart felt.

Kenshin Pornsanae Documentary? Sign me upppp.
Seriously thank you for this, Pornsanae was such an amazing Thaiboxer and an absolute legend in the sport.
thanks for watching and the support!
I'm so happy and glad that youtube recommended me this video. Kru Nae was my favourite Muay Thai instructor when i was training in Evolve. I hope i will meet him again.
Wow such beautiful people. Thank you so much for doing these videos. The moments with his friend Jun so cool. The amazing thing about the Muay Thai is how much ultimate aggression and killer instinct they have in the ring but they are so cultured and respectful and loving. Much to say and learn from that mindset. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Amen!
He's a murderer, how is he a beautiful person?

This guy is a freaking GOAT!! And yet so humble...
😍😍😍 my favourite fighter because he wore his heart on his sleeve I remember suggesting on one of your other videos to do this man he's a living legend!!!!!
definitely wore his heart on his sleeve
What a decent guy and living legend. It is truly a touching and warm interview, thanks for making this great video.
You know you're gonna shed some tears and be inspired to go train asap when a new "muay thai documentary" drops!
Love these so so so much 👊👊
Mr. Kenshin, your breakdown videos are the very best!! I have to say though that your interview videos, giving us long time Muay Thai fans a glimpse into the real lives of these legendary fighters, may possibly be my favorite vids on the whole of RUclips! These are pure gold! Excellent stuff Sir! Keep them coming please.
I really love this warrior's honesty and humility, I learned so much just from how he spoke not just what he said. There's so much I missed out on with Muay Thai history, channels like this one are a godsend. When I trained with Owen Comrie (Master Toddy trained him) back in the 90s, he'd mention names, but it was before the internet and so I couldn't get a hold of the stuff, so thank you Mr Kenshin
Thai people are amazing, I lived there for 14 years. My wife, in- laws and daughter are Thai from the South. That is a nation who can be proud of their rich culture.
Hands down what you've done is the greatest Muay Thai videolibrary ever existed. A powerful legacy for next generations. Modern Thai warriors culture at its best. Thanks so much!!!
What a champion. Watching your videos helps me fight depression and get stronger every day. Thank you so much for making these. Someday I hope to visit Thailand and learn more about this great nation.
I went to visit the academy as a visitor a while back and was surprised with the amount of hard work everyone at the gym was putting in. This man is an absolute monster.
Will visit the academy again in August/September.
@Sonny Kane thanks and good luck to you too!
What's the name of the academy? Thank you 🙏

Great English from a man who knows nothing but Muay Thai. Lots of respect.
Thank you for showing this mans and many Thai peoples journey. People take the fighters for granted in entertainment in Thailand not knowing the hardship and struggles most fighters go through. Serving up a piece of humble pie. Walk the walk
humble pie is the best pie. thanks for the support
Beautifully made.
thanks for the support bro!
I am absolutely loving theses interwiews. production quality is up to high standards too.
Glad I came across ur channel after spending time in Thailand training it sure will keep me motivated. Superb Channel.
Glad to hear he's still good in the head. Had a lot of heart yes, but also took a lot of heavy shots to the head during his career :-(

man...is hard to believe thepnimint and pornsanae was the most agressive fighters when you seen them like that.great video
Imagine being one of the 43 dislikes. 🙄
This Lawrence Kenshin fella has been sent from the heavens above to bring us interviews from the best Muay Thai fighters of our time and fighters some of us would have never even heard of. If it wasn't for him, I would have never know half of the fighters I know now. I have a hard time comprehending how it is even fathomable to someone to dislike any of this creators videos.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They are so humble where else do you see fighters praise each other so much?
Thanks you for this Kenshin-I have NEVER seen Pornsanae in a boring fight. His fights with Pakorn were truly epic. You have to carry Pornsanae out of that ring if your gonna beat him. Truly one of my favorite fighters!
The way he laugh is sooo warming
La felicidad en sus caras al final del video. Dos personas que viven haciendo lo que más les gusta. Un abrazo desde España.
Great post. Thank you.

Your a warrior.

Nice interwiew keep up with this amagzing videos 💯
Thai boxers are such sweethearts when you interview them hehe. So smiley and likeable
A very humble man and he is great legend not just because he is champion but a big heart.
Amazing work
Man those guys are so humble and pure, you can feel they're very genuine persons, so much you forgot they can kill you inside the ring.
Make so much documentary like this is very make spirit
Great fighter, I love watching all his fights, so sad that he couldn't control his emotions in this very tensioned situation...It's a sad thing to destroy your
legacy in a split second wrong decision...
What are you talking about?
Hi, reading all the comments below, I think he refers to the situation of this man killing someone. I don't know if this is true because I didn't check the information in the internet. But there are more than three comments talking about he killing a man. Sorry to hear that, I too, liked the video and the story of his life as a Muay Thai fighter.
Your chanell is perfect! Thanks from Russia!
Well... mama and papa created a pretty vicious fighter... big heart for the action.
Thank you for these Ken.
Since Floyd Mayweather likes to fight martial artist in boxing let's see him fight this guy😂
@fatel702LVC hahaha Floyd will buy him off.😂
Mayweathet will win if fight in a ring with just boxing rules, in full contact kickboxing, he has no chance at all.
@@user-fo4wl3nt1k Mayweather will win regardless, he cheats lol.
I like the way Thai fighters talk so humble, and also speak from the heart. And also not arrogant at all unlike other foreign fighters. Thai fighters is one of the best fighters in the world so do their personality.
he literally murdered someone over a carpet.
A very humble fighter who has a big heart.
Considering that he's Thai. He speak English fluently
The only reason he would even have knowledge of English is because of fighting
I am thai and I think it's interesting how he can tell or explain what is in his mind in English despite being not grammatically right. I think I know more English grammar than he does but I am worse than him when it comes to speaking or explaining things in English.
THAT WAS AMAZING
thanks for watching!
Spent 2 weeks training over in Bangkok easily the best 2 weeks of my life I can’t wait to go back over
When him and Jun hug at the end, I cry little bit.. :)
