Pics and vids of "I got headshot in 0.0001 seconds" don't really explain the most serious issue. To an outside, it just looks like video game nonsense. But Valve is a video game COMPANY that puts emphasis on the corporate part. We don't need 10000 personal accounts of not being able to play casual mode of TF2. We need hard, documented, verified evidence of the advertisements, the hate speech, the terms violations, the cyber harassment. The stuff that a company HAS to care about. Not that "the current circumstances of this game make it unable to be enjoyed" because all that will be seen is "I cannot enjoy this game" which a company would not care about.
This. We need DM pictures, we need websites of the bot makers we need in game evidence of them spamming and advertising. You are correct. I doubt valve gives a single shit about how much we enjoy the game. but all these violations against the rules? That definitely seems like a stronger case to me

It's cathartic to finally hear TF2 creators be brutally honest about Valve's wrongdoings (Ster tried to warn you all so long ago!). As for Deadlock being a problem for TF2: In a vacuum everything is fine. But within the context of TF2 being neglected, figuring out that the dev team is working on a new team based shooter is not a good look. They made the game that inspired the entire hero shooter genre, but instead of doing the bare minimum of maintaining it, they poured their resources into a competitor to the hero shooter genre years after it's relevancy? On top of it looking like another tone deaf trend chaser like Artifact, it's hard not to think that a smidgeon of the resources could have been used to update TF2, or heck, just make it playable! *GUYS, PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS MESSAGE!* First thing I want to say is that Valve will *LIKELY* not CARE about this message and what we're trying to say. "Why?" -you say, is because how we send the message. Let's take our pink glasses out from us, gamers, who plays TF2, let's imagine we're working on a normal company or etc. and see what this message is about: "Please, fix TF2, fix cheat bots!!" Now tell me, would you REALLY CARE about something like that? I wouldn't. What I want to say, is that we need to send *RIGHT* message. It's not about bots, actually, it's *ILLEGAL ACTIVITY* that bot hosters does. Let's instead say like: "Please, do something, the people does CRIMES at this point." *THAT'S WHAT WE NEED TO SAY* . But why would Valve not care about this? Remember the Giga leak? Even if it's ~pre-2013 content, it's still a Giga leak. *Around 60 gigabytes of content leaked*, and Valve not even said, they didn't even *reacted* to what happened. It shows how much Valve DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK about, probably anything at this point. *AND THE ONLY WAY FOR THEM TO DO SOMETHING, IS TO POINT OUT THAT PEOPLE DOES CRIMES!* Valve won't do anything, until it's a *law* related thing. Secondly what I want to say, is that we shouldn't say "If you won't do anything, you'll loose reputation you had". No. We *SHOULDN'T* say things like that, because as I said before, VALVE. DOESN'T. CARE. Instead, we need to say like *this* : "Valve, if you will do nothing against it, you can be sued for allowing people to do literal crimes, such as swatting, DDoS attacking, etc.". The last thing, is what bot hostets have done already. It's *not about bots anymore, it's about LAW*. Let me try to count what crimes they have done: 1 - Swatting, 2 - DDoS attack, 3 - Impersonating (saying racist and provocate things with someone else's voices), 4 - God, maybe even racism, because one of the bot hosters have *a literal 40+ pages of N-word in discord* 5 - Attempt of scamming. (One of bot hosters have tried to scam one YTer, saying like "I'll deactivate the bots if you'll give me very expensive hat". We all know this was a lie for sure. So that is attempt of scamming. Please, I and my friends are playing TF2, I just don't want it to go to the wrong rail ALREADY. The only way, in my opinion, that will make changes, is probably what I have said before. #SaveTF2 #FixTF2 - Bogdan.
TheWhatShow, one of the main organizers of fixtf2, already uploaded a video a week ago about these bot issues, with documented evidence. He shows it again in his recent fix tf2 video too. Let the fucking community fix their shit. I know they've addressed this idea in the past year, I know they think it'd be hard. It's worth it. My one concern here is I'm not sure there's a whole lot of legal action that can be done against the hosts. As I've heard many are centered in Russia and I have no idea what laws they have there, if Valve has any foothold in the country to wage accusations based on those laws, or if any enforcement there will even give a damn. Hell, excuse me for being the conspiracy theorist but it could even be from their government itself as an attack on the financial stability of such a big worldwide gaming company. Yeah at least then people would quit holding out hope and just work on improving the community servers even more than they have
Just put up my own video on the subject to support the movement. Let's hope this works out for the TF2 community!
That definitely seems like a stronger case to me
@@asonofliberty3662I almost wonder if a lawsuit is possible if Valve continues to ignore the game like this. It probably won't be easy, but I feel like it's the only path forward if this movement crashes and burns like the last.
On the other hand, he have a google doc. talking about it.
God, we even know the example of one of them trying to scam and one of them swatting someone else.
Even racism is found.
The only time Valve actually found themselves in hot water during bot crisis was during 2020 when bots were spamming slurs and some gaming journalism websites accused the company of being racist. Poof, the bots were gone for like a week after 1 day.
So yeah, these are the kind of methods we should use instead of "Sniper is bullying me :'((("
Edit: or Valve will just get pissed off even more and just shut the servers down, who knows
@@turkishjanitor3666 If Valve shuts the tf2 servers down, they shut down the tf2 economy. If you think people are upset about the bots, wait until the stink that gets caused when people lose their $10K+ in tf2 backpack value. Not to mention CSGO's economy apparently nets them like 60 Million per month. And if they shut down one game economy, it's gonna have a ripple effects to all the other ones as people realize Valve can take away their inventory at their leisure. Lots of people would cut their losses and just quit trading/using the community market/buying keys. And Valve rather enjoys the money they get from that. Even if tf2 never makes them another dime, they've put themselves in a situation where they can only lose money by shutting down tf2
Besides, Valve isn't pissed, they're apathetic
The toxic positivity of SaveTF2 really did undermine the whole movement and, ultimately, failed to show how serious the bot issue was to anyone unfamiliar with the state of the game. Hopefully #FixTF2 will put a spotlight on Valve and get eyes on their half a decade of neglect

That's like if Riot stopped supporting LOL for 5 years, turning it into bot hell, only to announce a Battle Royale game to try and compete with DayZ.

If only this could be applied in more aspects of life without 5 years of neglect going by. Lets hit them where it hurts. Dont pay them and do not budge on this and they'll have to do something.
*GUYS, PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS MESSAGE!*
First thing I want to say is that Valve will *LIKELY* not CARE about this message and what we're trying to say. "Why?" -you say, is because how we send the message.
Let's take our pink glasses out from us, gamers, who plays TF2, let's imagine we're working on a normal company or etc. and see what this message is about:
"Please, fix TF2, fix cheat bots!!"
Now tell me, would you REALLY CARE about something like that?
DOESN'T. CARE.
Instead, we need to say like *this* :
"Valve, if you will do nothing against it, you can be sued for allowing people to do literal crimes, such as swatting, DDoS attacking, etc.".
The last thing, is what bot hostets have done already. It's *not about bots anymore, it's about LAW*. Let me try to count what crimes they have done:
1 - Swatting,
2 - DDoS attack,
3 - Impersonating (saying racist and provocate things with someone else's voices),
4 - God, maybe even racism, because one of the bot hosters have *a literal 40+ pages of N-word in discord*
5 - Attempt of scamming.

There are so many software engineers that would be so excited to jump onto these ALREADY EXISTING efforts, if they'd just show that they'd accept our diffs and release them. We'd fight the cat and mouse game for them, and they wouldn't need to lift a finger beyond a quick code-review.
Oh... that's one of my favourite youtubers calling disability support pensions "tism bucks" and conflating disability with immorality/criminality...
I mean, I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but as someone currently living off a disability pension, I'm definitely not a scambot maker, so...
Yea that rubbed me the wrong way too
@@thewanderers97 it's not even in the "rubbing the wrong way" territory, that's for red flags. Guy's straight up a bigot, nothing to dwell on
@@thewanderers97rubbed me the wrong way too
Then I came
My one concern here is I'm not sure there's a whole lot of legal action that can be done against the hosts.
For the ones in regions that WILL consider such people criminal... well, I heard we already had a lot doxxed, and in this case of this literal criminal behavior I think they ought to be singled out for it.
Valve needs to fix their game
We are all just going to lose again; just like last time!
Let's all #AbandonTF2 instead
We'll still have both *TF2 Classic* and *Open Fortress* to replace and *SUCCEED* TF2, you know
Don't forget Pre-Fotress 2.
