This is a solid mod and very worthwhile. My gun would jam on the lighter loads and after this mod, it has never jammed since. Did the mod over a year ago and it has been rock solid.
my m3k was very unreliable with ejecting until I did this upgrade. works like a charm every time now. dont know why they used that crap in the first place. thanks for the help!
Ok..I finally got mine out and replaced. THIS is what needs to be made a little clearer for others attempting the same: There are TWO DIFFERENT HOLES! The large hole on top does NOT meet directly/funnel into the the smaller one-the two holes are parallel! The large hole on top is merely to allow ANGLED access to the top of the smaller, parallel hole coming up from the bottom next to it. This is the very particular part of the design that most will not expect and may not see unless they have good eyesight and fully examine the top hole with a small powerful light.
Will that part number work in a m3500. Also. What about the firing pin main spring is it also a good idea to replace it with a benelli type better quality or no Thanks for the video
Stoeger is made by Benelli; yes, the cheaper version. The springs look identical; length doesn't matter; did you measure the thickness of the wire in the spring? from the video: Stoeger 12 coils, Benelli 11 coils. But having made springs for firearms, what is the thickness of the wire between the two?
My extraction issues were caused by burrs in the extractor slot from the manufacturing process. If you put a Benelli extractor in the gun WITHOUT removing the burrs, it will work for a while until the replacement is damaged, and then the problem will return. That is what caused the finish to get scratched off in a line on booth the extractors in the video and the Benelli looks like it is going to start causing problems. Thanks to moaprecisionllc.com for telling me what was wrong.
@@fred1606 They are in the front edge of the groove where the extractor sits. That's what caused the scratches on the extractors you can see at 3:30 (the shiny line that's worse on the Benelli). I didn't remove them nicely! I used my dremel with a small grinding wheel. My fingernail would catch on the sharp edges the extractor pivots against.
@@woodwalker9367 thank you will do that. I actually have the Benelli m2 extractor coming in. I got the M3500 in February and it has intermittent extraction issues. Like out of 25 shells 2-3 will not extract.
Thanks! Did you ever try to put a comfort tech stock on the stoeger? I know it's a little different cause the inertia system is in the rear of the Benelli. Does it use a similar stock screw?
+Tcodyw88 I never looked at it. They purposely reshape the trigger guard on the M2 versus its predecessor M1 so the stock wouldn't flush up to the gun. Or you could have added a $400 stock to an M1 and had a budget M2. So I doubt it fits but if it did, dayum!!!
I was having a bunch of problems with my m3k. Sent it back and paperwork said they put a different m3000 extractor on it. I was hoping they would put a benelli one on there. We'll c how it functions. Taking it to the range sunday
@@windyrun7979 definitely. It has been flawless with any ammo ever since i got it back. Supposedly all they did was change the extractor but i think they did more cuz i can't get it to jam. Matter of fact im trying to c how long it can go without jamming or cleaning. Got about 500 flawlees rds thru it of cheap birdshot and etc.
I just bought my stoeger m3000 this January 2020 and i have a cycling and extracting issue that you show replacing the pin and spring. Should I just replace it or send it back to stoeger since it is new?? Thoughts. Also I’m only using target loads #8 or 7 and 2 3/4” shells. Any help appreciated
I have the stoeger m3500. I had a problem with 3.5 inch shells not ejecting all the way out. Sent it to stoeger they replaced the extractor and spring. Well 2 months later I'm back in the same boat. Should these parts with the part numbers work on the m3500?
Yes sir! The m3000 and m3500 use the bolt same bolt and bolt carrier so yes this upgrade will work just fine. As note these guns run much better when you do the 200 round brake in with heavy loads.
Yep I shot a case of 3.5s at blue rock when I bought it lol. It's had 3 cases of 3.5s 4 cases of 3 and 7-10 cases of trap loads. And it's only 2 years old. The life of a waterfowl guide lol
So I’m about to order these parts. I am definitely going to order the extractor… What are your thoughts on leaving the original Stoeger spring? Only asking because I have the option to order one at a time and shipping is free either way. The extractor is $30 and the spring is $15. I know it’s not a huge difference but if it’s not necessary I figured why bother
+Tcodyw88 Ok, but do you know the correct SIZE roll pin punch to use? I am using a 3/32 punch which seems too small from the room it has in the top hole, but when matched up to pin from the bottom it looks exact. Confusing. Mine is the Benelli SBE2 and not the Stoeger. Does that matter? Parts are interchangeable it seems from your video right, so...process should be too, no?
my extractor pin pushes out my hand. the pin that holds the bolt in the carrier is very loose also. just cycling the action by hand the extractor pin starts walking out. I seen you had to use a hammer.
Can you pplllleeeeease give us an update on the shotgun? Holding up reliability wise? Going to be buying one down here in South Africa where it takes close to 6 months to get a license so dont want to make the wrong choice
It's great hasn't had any issues I'm well over a thousand rounds through it as long as you do the proper break in with heavy loads it should be good to go
I got it done.. but there was no way in hell I could pull it out with my fingers like you did at the end. Also someone explain why this doesnt work back out when being shot and the recoil, vibration etc.. I mean it hasnt but seems like damn thing would just vibrate out and gravity...lol

There is surprisingly little on RUclips about this. The video does a good job illustrating what need to be done. Thanks!

Great instructional video as usual. what other Benelli parts could you put onto the Stoeger to improve it.. thanks for downloading the vid.. Bill

Did you ever get an answer? I'm wondering about both for an m3500
Same part for both m3000 and m3500 or m3k

How do you remove the burrs and where exactly is the burrs?

Great video brother! This was the only issue I had with my gun. It would not extract shitty brass with the OEM parts.
Thanks!

Is it the benelli m2 extractor and spring?
yes
thank you very much fron Basque Country for this tutorial .

I would. It’s really cheap, super easy to do and more then likely going to solve your problem.
TheHotWatercompany LLC - where do you get the part from? What site is best ?
B Stephenson the parts numbers are at the bottom the the info section of the video. Should be easy to find online.
TheHotWatercompany LLC - not seeing them. If you find them can you copy and paste in a reply please.
Thanks
Any part numbers to help this gun
Will these parts work with the Stoeger M3020 20ga?

I have a 3500 do you know if it was upgraded a the factory it not how do I purchase the benelli extractor??..
Will this be the same for the M3020, do you think?
Wondering the same...
what Benelli model is your gun and is any benelli extractor will fit the stoeger M2000 ?
Wondering if the extractor will fit a Stoeger 20 gauge?
Good question. I’m not sure.

Replace it
Good stuff bro! Keep them coming :)
What was wrong that you needed to replace this part?
They jam and wont cycle on lite loads
Will this fit m2000 also?
Hey do you have a part number for action bar spring up grade
Would the Benelli M2 inertia spring fit a M3500?
what about miss firing issues? my m3k does that
Matt Logan what exactly is happen?
Mine does that too matt. Did u fix the problem?
what size punch is it? the one I'm using is slightly thinner in diameter and I'm having a hell of a time getting it to budge
Some are really stuck in there so and it takes a good amount of force, and it also helps to take some pressure off the extractor spring.

what website did u buy the extractor from
Chano Olascon both the extractor spring and extractor were purchased from brownells
Sweet thanks those parts should fit the stoeger m3500 right
Chano Olascon yes they will.
Thank you for your help
Possible for M2000??
Thanks for the vid. Worked for me.

I know this is an old video but do you mind updating again? Looking to pick one up and wondering how well it's holding up now after almost 2 years.
What chargin handle do you use
Bryson blansett that's the factory charging handle for the M3K model.
Tcodyw88 I researched it and thanks for the reply I duck hunt with this gun and I hate that sharp charging handle
I got it done.. but there was no way in hell I could pull it out with my fingers like you did at the end. Also someone explain why this doesnt work back out when being shot and the recoil, vibration etc.. I mean it hasnt but seems like damn thing would just vibrate out and gravity...lol
EXACTLY what I needed to see on pull that PIG of a bolt handle off! DAGNABIT!
+georgemikodesigns i had all sorts of difficulty getting the bolt handle off the way the manual wants you to
Same here. I had to use some pliers and i scratched the shit out of my blue bolt handle. Had to spray.some rem oil on it too
Did you grind off your serial number? Thats illegal
Can't see 35% of the time you are trying to explain the process
