A third option for those rare PS1 games not quite running at the full 60fps is to use the PAL version of the game. It should run at the full 50fps of PAL games so the audio should be fine and there'll be smoother frame pacing too.
Unfortunately, some PAL games don't actually change their game speed appropriately to match the difference in framerate. One particular example I'm aware of is Tekken 3. The game is just 1/6th slower on the PAL version, because the game speed is still tailored toward 60fps despite running capped at 50. I don't know what other games do that (and thankfully I think NTSC Tekken 3 runs perfectly fine on Miyoo) but that's something to watch out for. (I only know about this because this was an issue with PAL versions of games on the Playstation Classic).
@@oromain Ah, yes, the notoriously lazy PAL conversion of Tekken 3 that probably drove more people to getting their PS 'chipped' than any other game did!

I was waiting for your review. Sorry to see that you had issues updating to the Onion v4 from a previous version. I was able to update over a previous version without the hassle you went through, but that's not the point of my comment. I'd really like to see a video regarding the ports. I'm not too familiar with how to install the games for those ports. I've seen a video where someone put a Super Mario 64 port on the mini and it ran well. Which tells me that there is sooo much more potential with the Miyoo Mini. Anyways, love your videos and can't wait to see your Ports video for the Miyoo Mini. Have a great day.
Awesome guide as always! My Miyoo Mini should be here in a few weeks and I am incredibly excited. I originally wanted to use MiniUI, but the new features of Onion v4 look like it's the best option! I'd love to play Jazz Jackrabbit, Doom and Tyrian on this thing! Wild question - could I copy my Retroarch game saves from my RP2+ to the Miyoo Mini? Or is it only from Mini to Mini? Thanks!
I'm definitely gonna do the dos/ports vid sometime soon. Seems lots of people are into that idea (which is awesome!). Actually, yes, you should be fine to bring your old save games over, as far as I know they use the same save format. Just do the method I described, make 1 save game for each system (just so it forces the device to make the appropriate save folders), then copy over your save files into the newly created save folders. It should be easy enough to figure out but LMK if you run into problems and I'll try to help you out.
