Glad it was helpful! I do genuinely use it every day, and no one pays me to say that, and I don't even sell them. If you get a trade account with a jewellery wholesaler, you may be able to buy the silver dip in large gallon tubs (as I do). the industrial tubs are even stronger !. superb stuff. Dave
I've been meaning to say I bought this product last month and it has totally lived up to your review. How did I clean necklaces and intricate items before? Absolutely fantastic. Thanks as ever, Mr W.😊
There are lots of dips and polished. But I still say that this stuff is the best you can get. Incidentally I've met Mr Town Talk several times and he watches my videos. He said that if you buy the silver dip from Cooksons in the large wholesale tubs, its much stronger and even more impressive. The little pots for retail are diluted a little for health and safety labelling laws. but the full Monty wholesale stuff is incredible. Dave.
Goodevening. What a nice tip you show.. How many times can you use this pot? I wonder if the liquid is not getting very dirthy? Thank you for your video and your answer. Have a nice evening. Mieke
The liquid can eventually get a little dirty, but doesn't seem to loose its effectiveness. The only real issue that it actually runs out. Especially when cleaning chains, as each time, you remove the chain you loose a little of the liquid (which gets washed away when you rinse the chain. But it is very inexpensive so if you run out or you feel its not working any more, then simply replace it. Dave
Indefinitely, eventually goes down due to drips, when you remove something. I can get months, or even a year out of a pot. It doesn't seem to degrade at all. Dave
Loads, its very economical. just allow the excess to drip off backing into the pot as you pull items out. Thats where you slowly loose the solution, by washing it off. Dave
Wow!! I ordered this from an advertisement from playing a cell phone game but it's not from this company at all. It's a small bottle minus the cloth, tray and brush. I'll be ordering another "from this company" for sure. I have many items that need this.
I tend to get a year out of one pot. It doesn't so much go off, as simply run out. every time you take a piece out you remove a little of the liquid, so it slowly goes down. Only a few pounds per pot. Dave
+jim bettridge Note sure. There are several brands here in the UK, but there is something different about the Town Talk, it really is magical stuff. Dave.
It wont affect diamonds other than cleaning them. Likewise, it doe snot affect enamel. The cleaner is designed to remove the black silver oxide. It isn't acidic or corrosive and will not affect anything else. It's great stuff. Hope this helps. Dave
Sweeeeeeeet!...saved Me asking!😁 Great to know..I've got a bunch of black diamond jewellery I've been putting off cleaning with this just in case..buzzin'
Stones should be secured by physical means, either by bezels, claws, or grain settings. They should only come out with physical force. The cleaner only works on the silver. CZ and other stones are unaffected (but will be cleaned). Hope this helps. Dave
Ultrasonic cleaning is very different though. The vibrations remove particles, but not necessarily tarnish. Likewise, this TT solution will clean tarnish, but not allways remove dirt and particles. Dave
Since this video the design of the tray has changed a bit, please be careful and wear protection, this liquid is suspected to cause cancer and also notes this on the label. Great product though
Yes, I don't like the new trays. But you can slip rings over the central pole. I like to keep my old ones with the little loop on the top. The solutions in these small pots are weaker versions for public use, The professional Town Talk solution available from jewellery suppliers is much stronger and hence does come with many warnings - damned good stuff though ! Thanks for watching. Dave.
+pagefour217 A difficult question to answer, as I have no idea what you are referring to. I don't know what you mean by "white stuff" and I don't know what "other technique" you used. So I cant offer advice, as I don't know what you are doing. What I can say is that the cleaner removes black silver oxide, by means of a chemical reaction. I don't know what your white stuff is, so cant suggest how to remove it. Dave.
+pagefour217 If the deposits are baking soda then use vinegar which will dissolve it with a fizz. The silver dip is intended for use just with oxidised silver. Other chemical residues or polishes may interfere with it reduce ifs effectiveness. So best not to do anything else before hand, just put the tarnished jewellery straight into the dip first, before any other process. If you're really having problems then just take your pieces to a jeweller, He can tumble them (barrel polish) for a couple of pounds and they will come out like new in a hour. Dave.
+Celtic Dreams thank u. I received the town talk dip so I'll try the vinegar first and then wash it then try the dip. I really appreciate your input and insight
Hi. People ask me almost daily where they can buy the tools shown in my videos. the trouble is, with a global audience I have no idea where (in the world) you are, so its impossible to give specific advice. presumably you are in the USA, so you can buy it from Amazon.com Hope this helps. Dave www.amazon.com/dp/B005BAEOPQ?tag=amz-mkt-chr-uk-21&ascsubtag=1ba00-01000-e0041-win70-other-nomod-uk000-pcomp-feature-scomp-wm-5&ref=aa_scomp
Thank you. I am Originally from Wigan, Lancashire, in the North of England. A little south from where I am now in Morecambe. Dave. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigan
Yes, I've seen that, but I haven't used the gold dip. I do have the gold polishing cloth and that is superb. I recently met Mr Town Talk himself and he said that if you buy this dip from a jewellery supplier, in the large gallon tubs then its actually a lot more powerful. These smaller tubs for domestic use are slightly watered down due to health and safety regulations on domestic chemicals. The big industrial tubs are the full monty - and even more amazing. ; ) Dave.
Nice one..I got this stuff because of this video..I inherited my grandadold silver rope chain..its sparkling like new!
Glad to have helped. Dave
Excellent excellent video, now I can finally clean my jewelry products. Thanks so much, you did a great job. Cheers mate 🙏🏻
Happy to help. Dave
Really helpful video! Thank you. Great idea with the photos before and after.
Glad it was helpful! Dave
Great video, l was deciding between several different products and Town Talk looks the best! Thank you!

How long did this coaching fluid last please?
Thank you Dave! I really appreciate your most excellent videos.
Rogue Perfumer Thanks again. It's all the lovely comments and emails from all over the world, that make it such a rewarding thing to do. Dave.

How do I purchase?? I went on the website and couldn't find the cleaner, only jewelry.
I don't sell them. you can buy them in Argos, Amazon, etc. Dave
How long does the liquid last please?
Indefinitely, eventually goes down due to drips, when you remove something. I can get months, or even a year out of a pot. It doesn't seem to degrade at all. Dave
Like how much jewellery can one jar do?
Loads, its very economical. just allow the excess to drip off backing into the pot as you pull items out. Thats where you slowly loose the solution, by washing it off. Dave
I oversoaked my silver ring with it and it turned yellow is there anyway it will comeback to its sparkling silver color?
Clean and rinse you piece and get a fresh solution. it may be "used" or polluted now. Dave.
Hi, does this silver cleaner contains thiourea? hope you'll answer me, I really need silver cleaner with thiourea.
I don't know what the contents are - They are a trade secret. But I do use it and highly recommend it. Dave
Wow!! I ordered this from an advertisement from playing a cell phone game but it's not from this company at all. It's a small bottle minus the cloth, tray and brush. I'll be ordering another "from this company" for sure. I have many items that need this.
There are other similar makes, but Ive found Town talk to be the best by far. Dave
Can it damage the lower grades of silver?
It doesn't seem to. The items aren't usually in for very long. a few seconds is usually all thats required and then wash thoroughly. Dave
Little fact for you. Each town talk polish item is made and packed (by hand) in a single factory in bolton!
Indeed. It's only a few miles away from here. Thanks for watching. Dave
Hi, will it work on gold plated silver sterling?
Yes, but gold plated shouldn't tarnish. They also make a gold cleaner too, which may be better. Thanks for watching. Dave
How long does one container last? I have a fairly big collection of Pandora jewellery
I tend to get a year out of one pot. It doesn't so much go off, as simply run out. every time you take a piece out you remove a little of the liquid, so it slowly goes down. Only a few pounds per pot. Dave
Hope that's available in Canada, thanks Dave!
+jim bettridge Note sure. There are several brands here in the UK, but there is something different about the Town Talk, it really is magical stuff. Dave.
I rather liked the dark shading within the etched area before you dipped it. Oh well.
Yes, dipping like this will clean everything. Good point. Dave
thank you
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.Dave
Can you use this on gem Stone jewellery?
Most hard cut stones are fine, but opals should be avoided. Dave
Just wondering if you know if it's ok to use this with diamonds in silver and enamel on silver ??? Please and thank you
It wont affect diamonds other than cleaning them. Likewise, it doe snot affect enamel. The cleaner is designed to remove the black silver oxide. It isn't acidic or corrosive and will not affect anything else. It's great stuff. Hope this helps. Dave

I have cz stones In my chain. Would they fall out if I use this?
Stones should be secured by physical means, either by bezels, claws, or grain settings. They should only come out with physical force. The cleaner only works on the silver. CZ and other stones are unaffected (but will be cleaned). Hope this helps. Dave
awesome!
+pagefour217 It certainly is ! Dave.
This has got to be worth it for 20 secs of anyone's life. I've a sonic cleaver and the liquid costs 9.99 a litre and it can't be reused
Ultrasonic cleaning is very different though. The vibrations remove particles, but not necessarily tarnish. Likewise, this TT solution will clean tarnish, but not allways remove dirt and particles. Dave
Can you use this as a pickle?
Not really. Thats not what it's designed for. I use VITEX and cant reccomend it enough. Dave
Since this video the design of the tray has changed a bit, please be careful and wear protection, this liquid is suspected to cause cancer and also notes this on the label. Great product though

Does microfiber cloth scratch silver
No. its just a soft cloth, impregnated with some of the anti tarnish agents. It has nothing abrasive in it. Dave
Will it remove the white stuff that appeared when I used another technique?
+pagefour217 A difficult question to answer, as I have no idea what you are referring to. I don't know what you mean by "white stuff" and I don't know what "other technique" you used. +Celtic Dreams I used the aluminum foil method. so basically where a lot of the heavy tarnish was it turned white but can be "scratched " off.
+Celtic Dreams possibly the baking soda
+pagefour217 If the deposits are baking soda then use vinegar which will dissolve it with a fizz. The silver dip is intended for use just with oxidised silver. make sure u use the one for gold
Yes, I've seen that, but I haven't used the gold dip. I do have the gold polishing cloth and that is superb.
