friend the modification to your Gretsch has been great the sound is much better and more notorious I congratulate you that good videos do! what mods did you do to your Gretsch
Hi Joe, love your Black ProJet and videos! I just got the same guitar in Candy Apple Red. Got some question for you; did your guitar face any tuning issues whenever you use the bigsby? I wonder why you changed the original B50 to B70.
dravenliew Hey I'm sorry I totally overlooked this comment for some reason! When I first got the guitar, I did come across tuning problems when using the Bigsby. The guitar came with .10s from the factory, but I read online that heavier strings helped some people with tuning issues so I tried out .11s. Switching to heavier strings fixed the problem, but I also lubed the nut as well. The B50 worked fine for me, the only reason I swapped to a B70 was for looks. It feels and performs exactly the same!
Joe McDaniel, no problem and thanks for replying. Ohh interesting. Will try out the 11s. Just one more question. Did you lube the nut with graphite or something else?
Joe McDaniel ohh I seee then yea I'm digging this guitar love the tone of it I guess I'm getting the pro jet instead of double jet aha .. but thanks man for replying aha 😎
Joe McDaniel well, they sound fantastic!!! Yeah, I’m on there quite a bit. Hit me up sometime. I’d love to chat about your setup. I’m still trying to figure out how i want to run things. I’ve been using the Kemper as just an “amp” for the last 3-4 months, but the more i hear I’m tempted to get a remote and try to use some of the onboard stuff. Those overdrive pedals sound amazing!!
I use a Kemper Profiler and I used a 65 Deluxe Reverb profile. I've heard a lot of great things about AC10s. People seem to like them but I've never played one. It would definitely get the job done.
bro, im trying to figure out what to do for bedroom playing. Should i go with a boutique tube amp or a kemper with frfr speakers? Do kempers sound and feel just like if an amp was in a room? I'm mostly going to play clean worship type tones so it would seem that the real deal would better than a kemper but at the same time, the versatility in tones that kempers offer seems unmatched. I know that a kemper sounds the same as a mic'd amp but im wondering if kempers sound the same in a room essentially?
Sorry! I really thought I replied to you already! You are right, the possibilities and tones of the kemper are unlimited. In my opinion, it doesn't sound like an amp in the room, but the tones I get from it are so good that it really doesn't matter to me. The Kemper is so perfect for bedroom playing.
I just swapped it for looks. They feel and perform exactly the same. I did have some tuning problems when I used .10 gauge strings, since then I've started using .11s and it stays in tune much better.
I really like your Gretsch! So much, that it has motivated me to pick exactly that one up to be my new guitar. :)
Awesome!! You won't regret it; I love it!
Good grief, man, you are killing it! Awesome, awesome stuff!
Thanks for that video🖒
You're welcome Benni!

Thanks a lot Andres!! I changed the pickup covers, and replaced the Bigsby B50 with a B70.

dravenliew I just used pencil lead, I'm not sure how much it actually made a difference. The strings definitely made the biggest difference.
I was gonna get the double jet but I'm digging this pro jet guitar did u change ur pickups to TV Jones ?
I'm still using the Blacktop Filtertrons that came with it, I just changed the pickup covers. I didn't like the look of the blacktop covers, haha.

No problem dude! Hope you enjoy it.
Sounds great
TACTICAL DAIRYMAN Thanks!!
Hey dude, sounds awesome!!! Did you get some new pickups?
Thanks Kristopher! I actually just replaced the pickup covers. BTW I think I recognize your name from the Kemper P&W FB group!

What kind of amp do you use and would you recommend the VOX AC10?

Key of A if I am correctly mistaken.
I see you swapped in a b70. Was the one stock not any good? Or didn't hold tune?
I just swapped it for looks.

Joe McDaniel oh okay cool. I bought this guitar and will have it on Thursday. I use .11s so that's good to know. I may swap out tuners though
Awesome, hope you love it!
