#SpaceEngineers
Dudes making boxes cooler than the best ships on the workshop
yes
efficiency
True 😂
Would love to see him work with one of those guys to make a ship cool and functional.
I would like to know what kind of animal you are sacrificing to gain favour with Klang?
I think it’s wolves
Another Space Engineer
@@MP_TROLL Hope not...
Goats probably, they seem to satisfy satan so I assume they also appease clang
Klang favors this one!
ALL HAIL THE GREAT PRIEST OF KLANG!!!
se players hopping on to solve real world engineering complexities in a 10 year old video game:
this is super impressive! it looks so natural and effective
I love it!
I see a lot of forward slide when the suspension compresses, i think you could eliviate that by adding a second scissor link, so that the movement turns from horizontal to vertical, it would mean adding 4 more hinges and more complexity, but i really enjoyed the concept.
Id also urge you to try suspension with rotor head as a spring, it has one full block of travel, so not as much as yours, but i think it could enhance your design if your main focus is the retraction/deployment part
after thinking about it, forget about my first thought, doubling up will most likely just make it worse, it would need some stabilizing rail which is not a thing we have in the game
@@Kennet0508 Would the suspension block on itself not have that function,Like how space elevators are made
@@Perryverduijn111 it would have the same functionality as a wheel on suspension. 1 large block of suspension travel
man I can't design anything cooler than a box, and i still can't make a box as cool as this
Okay.. this is the smoothest.. coolest landing gear I've seen, the applications are beyond awesome.
Would you possibly mind sharing how it's all done? I'd love to adopt similar knowledge into my builds. Being a noob, this is mind blowing to watch, been here 20min. 😮
игра: я на такое не рассчитывалась!
игроки: ты не знаешь, своих истинных возможностей...
you are lucky that klang is so merciful
Ah, the engine brings memories of 90s simulators
Looks awesome been trying to make stuff like this for a while only issue is the amound of anger to God Clang (KLANG) they end up making. My last one i made was a small grid where the legs fold up into the back of the ship and a front gear comes out the front. if the front gets stuck on the ground you better not be around it as it swings the ship around. Hoping they get some of that fixed up in later updates
The Klang is strong with this one . . .
May clang have mercy on your CPU and Ship.
reminds me of the independent suspension design we use on scrap mechanic... same principles at work here...
I literaly have no words.
Это так хорошо сделано что я не уверен законно ли делать так хорошо
Would you be against putting your current iteration up on the workshop?
Would love to see what the settings are and how everything interacts with each other.
Looks cool :D however thing I really hate about these kinds of things is you turn off the thrusters so it stops wasting Hydrogen and pistons and hinges and rotors destroy themselves.
You need some way for the "feet" to rotate around the X and Z axis in order to more effectively conform to practical terrain. Otherwise this is a outstanding testbed for the test at hand and shows promise for more successful iterations.
Reminds me of that one episode of futurama with the super safe ship
now THAT´S a space engineer
How does the landing gear adapt to the different terrain heights?
I think they use the wheel suspension, attaching a block where the wheel goes so then can manipulate the heigh and the suspension cushioning force
My guess it would have to be something to do with the script that adjusts torque or strength settings on the rotors that you can see at work near the end.
Very sleek design - nice
your insane how u do these things
Yall Too dam good at this man
Looks like the new iShip
Now put much finer little absorber landing gear under the landing gear to get smoother landing foothold
this is just well done, nothing more to it.
Oooh I'm want to replicate that now
I don't want to say using hinges for suspension is a terrible way of doing it because it's clearly working great. But it feels counterintuitive to put such a great load on what is basically a loose cantilever. What was the idea behind that?
Cool, been working on a similar thing when it comes to wheels
Made something similar, however the problem I had was the ship would just wobble indefinitely on the gear after the landing. Still struggling to get functioning landing gear on the said ship - every design I tried to make myself or even copied from the workshop just result in the landing gear getting mushed / squashed and disintegrating the moment it takes on the ship weight. Though the biggest issue is with the lag - I made a really cool and intricate piston / hinge / rotor setup for a 12 wheel landing gear, but it dropped my fps below 40 when I started installing those onto the grid :(
this looks awesome, pls make a vid on how to set up that landing gear plsssss
they really need to make it so you can turn of piston wobble
Lord Klang is pleased!
When the clang is real
Genius
We need this vanilla!
This feels like a new jeep commercial….. I
That's just asking for the physics engine to wig out and send it into orbit in ten different pieces.
Every server admin's dream build.
[laughs in clang]
it is strange that there are no cities on Earth
One must not tempt the wrath of Klang with such heresy…
Okay, how’d you pull you this off???
Impressive.
Looks nice.
too bad they break when u add weight to the ship or for some reason the terrain decides to clip into them, or if clang just says no.
mind
blown
That's just great!😊
I'm just imagining how bad that will blow up if Clang gets involved. 🤣
So cool
This is what I imagined space engineers was when I started playing but the constantly turning upside down in gravity when your jetpack is on, the physics clang and the confusing menus upon menus of similar looking options made me lose interest...
Bro's gain value is too high.
Impressive, very nice......
Praise be Clank, may his wrath be not set upon you
So would you call that Quad Rotor Support? I assume the pistons share the tension.. This would be a proper test if you also found a naturally bumpy surface and see how those flat feet hand flexing back and forth..... otherwise this isn't even a real test.
The protruding blocks out of the ground simulate uneven terrain. It appears to be functioning fine.
@@AH-64Delta Because Simply Removing the platform and landing the the readily available ground wasn't easy enough.... yeah you're right. That perfectly simulates real landing conditions. You has like engineering degree to reall see what I totally didn't see.
do you have damage enabled on this world?
I love to make things like this on my ships.
Unfortunately they keep blowing up.
Cool
Like the concept but it isn’t clang proof isn’t it
Klang would like to have a word
Love this!
Idk how many yimes I've watched this video...just trying to figure out how he did it
Powered by Lord and Savior Clang(TRADEMARK).
My ship is to big for that but cool
Just wish the physics in SE wasn't so wobbly :|
Try it out on some really bad terrain
Put a Yeti sticker on it lol
This'll crash my pc xp
I want this
Wow why are you not a dev of space engineers? Your clearly doing a better job
