I’m the exact same as her. I took hormones at 18 because I identified as FTM. I’m 24 now and detransitioned back to female. People hate detransitioners for no reason and it’s so dystopian. I transitioned because I was a severely depressed and alone teenager and I felt that I didn’t fit in anywhere in life, so I found solice in the online trans community where everyone praised you for being unique and weird. I was chronically online. I strongly believe that if I wasn’t so alone and lived and breathed social media, I would have never blamed my gender for my problems.
I have a friend who works in a public school and he sees examples like yours every day. It's hard enough for kids to be kids in todays world without all the external influences. I'm glad that you were finally able to find your authentic self. Best of luck to you and your future.
I'm sorry for all that you went through and are currently going through. I'm not trans, so I can't say that I know exactly how you feel, but I do understand about being a loner kid not fitting in. I just want to say that your very brave, and that your experience and your pain matters to others. And I hope things get better for you. Consider me a friend should you ever need one. 😊
What she didn't say was that she purposefully sought out places that would affirm her quickly and avoided places that wouldn't. I have trans friends and even getting on hormones can take months to a year or longer. Her entire process was very fast tracked and that doesn't happen unless you're intentional to move around barriers to affirmative care. Either that or she's lying about her process.
We’ve been there with our daughter. She stopped before top surgery too. Thank God. She got help, mostly from us, her parents, and detransitioned. Today she’s a beautiful, happy young woman!

Respectfully, this was not some poor child. This is a 16-year-old girl who just walked into a place that didn't require any standards of care before beginning transition. Before we start calling her a victim let's realize she's at the age of accountability where she knew better. So, a portion of this is her own fault. She's of an age group that constantly has the world of information at her fingertips yet chose not to use it or ignored it all together. None of this was pushed on her so that victim narrative needs to stop now if she had done therapy prior and had gone a more pretreatment rout then that would be different. At the end of the day this was her own ignorance and the ignorance of her parents provided they were even aware.
I had body dysmorphia going through puberty and many kids do. Its a difficult time. Also painful when breasts grow. Plus with unwanted attention and the oppurtunity to prevent or reverse that I dont blame some kids.

@@douglasduda9826this is not true. Any teenage girl who’s gone thru puberty can tell you men will stare no matter what you wear. It’s really a disgusting situation we put girls through and is a HUGE contributor to why so many young women are transitioning to begin with. As long as we continue to ignore the reality that society’s attitude towards women’s bodies is creating a humiliating relationship to their own self we will continue to see young girls choosing to remove their breasts, believing they are uncomfortable being in a female body because they’re “secretly a man” inside. I myself wanted to get my breasts removed up until I was about 19 or so for the same reason, and I didn’t even believe I was a man.
I am Happy their showing the other side of changing gender. A lot of ex trans ppl go through this and are shamed by the community. We need more people to speak up about how doctors are allowing ppl to change gender without the proper therapy and time so they won’t regret it in the future.
No, they're not shamed for detransitioning. They're shamed for grifting and ATTACKING the community because their experience didn't go well. Transition has less than a 2% regret rate, and republicans are attacking the community HARD - I support all detransitioners but if you're on TV pushing anti trans propaganda during ongoing genocidal rhetoric from republicans, you're being a problem. No matter what you've been through. We can all see what the Republicans want to go through with, all you have to do is listen to them. The reality is all Trans people will inevitably end up detransitioning, or committing suicide. Whether people want to admit it or not gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and the individual suffering from it (and being pushed by society to transition) will either manage to work out their problems on their own... and detransition... or they don't and they end their suffering. I always say this! I was a huge Tom boy as a kid. Was the only girl in class to wear trousers all year round because I hated dresses and skirts, preferred “boys toys” etc. but now I love being a woman and wearing girly clothes. It’s scary that some children will think they must change gender because of personal preferences.
There should be a more serious psychological evaluation done for people requiring trans gender surgery or medication for transitioning , especially minors. if thats not being done then we’ll surely have more cases like this. Here in Australia it's virtually impossible for a man with low testosterone to get prescribed TRT and yet a girl who identifies as a man can get testosterone no questions asked.

Thats called psychosis. Its different. You dont have to agree with trans but i would love for people to just be more ok with it being a thing and not taking away all rights for all trans people. Yes sadly there is alot of cases of people regretting. A better system is definetly the answer. I wish just we could all talk to each other. Im a trans guy and have been on hormones for 6 years. Im happy being seen as just a guy. I know what my biological gender is. I just wish people could approach this issue with a little openness and at least just accept that we might not agree with each other but accept that if this person is happy with their life choises then why hate? @Le4PaRd You have a right to live in peace. What you don't have a right to is a right to force others to participate in your lifestyle. Besides, if you crave outside affirmation, then maybe it's not a self identity issue. Incidentally, I wish more people would be accepting of my uncle's choices
@@Le4PaRd I'm not trans, so I may not understand. Can you tell and explain "all rights for all trans people" that have been taken away? Give us some examples?
Absolutely agree. I'm sorry but someone who wishes to transition SHOULD go to multiple therapy session, etc. It's a big decision and I don't think many people, esp minors, understand that.
I myself transitioned and I fully agree. I transitioned about 10 years ago, and it was such a different ballgame. I was 23, first off, and went to counseling for about 9 months prior to hormones (I’ve never had any surgeries and don’t plan to, except eventually a hysterectomy). Then, I found a specially licensed counselor to do a series of personality tests and mental health screenings, before he ultimately wrote an official letter to my doctor - not confirming I was trans, per se, but confirming he believed i was making my decision from a sound mind. In fact, the counselor who wrote the letter was a Christian and I was not - but he said his job wasn’t to judge or have personal opinions about my decisions: his job was to assess my mental and emotional competence, and that’s what he did. I wouldn’t change how I did things for anything. Even now, years later, it gives me such peace of mind knowing FOR SURE that I made the decision on my own. I think I would always question it if I’d gone to an informed consent clinic, or seen a “gender therapist” (both of which were options, options I’m thankful my gut told me not to take).
I am reminded of a story by a pediatrician who was presented with a young girl who identified as trans and wanted to transition to become a boy. The pediatrician interviewed both parents to try to get to the meat of the matter as he didn't want to rush into mutilating the girl. At some point the father revealed it had come on suddenly and out of the blue after he remarried. The peditrician paused and dug further into it and discovered that the parents of the girl were divorced and that the father later remarried. Their daughter had then been forced to become a bridesmaid at the wedding against her will, and the whole affair traumatized her so much she never wanted to wear dresses again which sparked the trans identity. With this info the pediatrician prescribed proper child counselling and therapy and the girl NOT go through with the transition thank the Lord. I have nothing against well informed decisions to transition but i am against young immature children doing it. Let them grow and go through puberty FFS and mature abit before they made decisions that could irreversibly alter their lives and bodies forever.
This is how it used to be 10 years ago--just to go on hormones required several sessions with a mental health counselor, gender therapist, medical doctor, etc. But with the shift in the LGBTQ+ social justice movement over the past decade, all of those requirements can now be bypassed. It's a huge problem, and these important checkpoints need to be restored to prevent confused non-trans people from mutilating themselves.
Many people do actually its just very costly and time consuming typically it takes years to get a diagnosis which can worsen the person's patience and mental state. This is why i think we need to teach about lgbt and gender identity to kids at a very young age around 7 or so so they can better understand those things and about themselves (yes they can understand it perfectly fine those who disagree dont and no its not indoctrination i watch straight characters kiss on tv all the time and i was taught that boys and girls liked each other did that make me straight? Dunno, we have freedom to put things in our bodies in a democratic society. There is toxic fast food, insane plastic surgeries, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. Why is it suddenly someone else's fault that this person changed their mind? Like most young women, I was on "the pill" for years. It caused me to develop an autoimmune endocrine disorder. I was in my mid-twenties needing to get vitamins through an IV drip. With every hormonal prescription I got sicker and sicker and it started to threaten my fertility. I'm so fortunate I figured it out in time. I threw away every prescription and found natural options that allowed me to be healthy again. Today I have a 1 year old baby girl and no trace of an endocrine disorder or autoimmune disorder. Most women detransition because they find out being a man is way way way worse than being a woman 😂. Maybe all women should transition so they can respect men more.
I was on the pill for 20 years with no side effects other than good ones. It made my period predictable and manageable. Coming off was terrible and I’d still be on them if I could be. All medication is the same story…it can help many but always seriously harms a few. Everyone is different and some will react to things that others don’t. The problem is that we don’t take the warning labels seriously enough and doctors will never take the time to sit down and go through all of the possible side effects. Especially for things like birth control pills that are so common and don’t negatively effect most.

I’m on the same boat. I’m a DeTransitioner as well, and it is absolutely nuts as to how easy you can get access to hormones and approval for surgery. Also a strong point to make is when you tell your doctors that you want to stop taking hormones (the ones from the clinic), they kinda get a little hostile to you. I’m not anti-trans, but I am Pro “it need to be harder to access this kind of stuff because it can definitely change your life”. I did happen to get the surgery and find out afterwards that I needed a therapist OUTSIDE the clinic to work out deep rooted trauma (SA survivor) and realize that I was never happy transitioning. The main thing was that I never was consistent taking hormones. So I still have my natural feminine features and voice. It’s just that I don’t have a chest anymore, which I have grown accepting of because I still very much look like a woman, also breast cancer is pretty up there within my family.

Now THIS is a brave woman. Not the ones that hide behind a keyboard or the ones that just scream louder than people who are trying to talk to you. Those are cowards who are fearful of the truth and confrontation. Life is a rollercoaster ride and sometimes there is no "quick fix" so you have to actually work to get out of those valleys. It helps to have good people around you that aren't just an echo chamber and give you an alterative way of looking at things. Anyways this woman is the real "stunning and brave".
This poor girl, simply confused and wondered down the wrong path now has permanent damage to her body. As far as medicine today, she wont get her voice back and that alone is devastating, from this clip we don't know what else she could be dealing with. I hope more information is available to children because this world is getting really confusing.
She says it exactly right; you need to get the right therapy for these types of decisions. I am a trans woman. I had two years of intensive therapy before I was even allowed to take hormones. In the Netherlands, where I come from, this is much stricter. We also had the first gender clinic in the world. We are the founders. Our doctors have spread their knowledge all over the world, unfortunately not every clinic has the same strict rules
I agree there are many things that contribute to a kid questioning their gender roles. Therapy should be a requirement. Things like abuse, bullying, and even depression due to not fitting into societal standards can cause children to become confused about their gender identity/oreintation. Her story is identical to someone I met a few years back. I met a girl who passed as a boy, and she believed she was born into the wrong body as a kid. Now her as an adult and already gone through the transition through insurance as a teen, she realized her thoughts came from her years of abuse and bullying. She regretted it but some of the changes were permanent. That was the 1st time I ever heard that this happens. Why society is angry at parents who want to dig deeper is something I will never understand as the aftermath that comes with making such a irreversible decision can be a harder pill to swallow.
So I guess there’s no such thing as simply being a tomboy these days? I don’t understand the immediate need for drugs and surgery for children especially.

Bravo for speaking out. This is very serious issue and more support ought to be provided to the individual with this problem before choosing surgery as an option for the cure?
She has no reason to lie! And she deserves every credit for speaking the truth! Let her story, and the mistake that she narrowly avoided making, serve as a warning!!
I think a big thing now in the medical world is doctors let patients self-diagnose themselves on anything without them doing any testing or their JOB to figure out what’s really wrong with you before moving forward. They’re lazy and incompetent and it’s scary to witness when you’re actually mentally or physically ill and are unable to get the help you need. I don’t think many doctors care, they’ll just prescribe whatever you want. Maybe it’s new laws or regulations but it should be fixed.
Doctors dont become doctors to help people. They become doctors to make more money and have the bonus of being able to pretend like they chose to do it to help people.
I think maybe it's not that they don't care, I think it's because they'll lose their jobs, the patient could sue and call them transphobic for not affirming.
I don't think they are lazy. They are scared of being canceled basically by a group of people that don't want to accept facts or don't want to be told their wrong. Try having your career you worked for be put in jeopardy because you didn't affirm someone's mental health issues to their liking instead of giving your professional opinion.
it's called the affirmative care model. and it's affecting the rate of detransition in the UK already so severely that they shut down their biggest gender care facility. well that and the fact that puberty blockers were found to affect bone density.
Yes! I do have a question for you Dr. Phil : What's the point of those ridiculously big and tall chairs????? I've seen so many talk shows with the most uncomfortable chairs, stools etc. but these ones take the cake.
They do look ridiculous, but assumed it might be so audience or cameras get a clear view of the guests, although not many other shows have to do something that strange.
You can change your body all you want, but if your mind is still the same, nothing inside you really changes. Proud of you for telling your story! I wish deep therapy is a requirement if you want to transition and they should be approved by multiple therapists. I feel like in this day and age, if you deny people and tell them your doubts, they will automatically label you as homophobic or transphobic and it puts pressure on the medical system.
1% of trans people ever regret transitioning. That is a staggeringly high success rate. People who want to transition should be allowed to do so as it lowers their rate of suicide substantially.
Some damage has already been done though, she's expressed sadness about the pitch of her voice going down a couple of times on her channel. And that doesn't go away. Not saying it's as bad as having gone through with some surgeries, but it just proves that none of this is really reversible.
@@russellmania5349 I have no idea about that but it wouldn't surprise me at all. I find it baffling how easily professionals can give these medications to young people without fully knowing the extent of the effects it will have on them long term.
@@lorena5mashThe idiot professionals are just making easy money off of them and they know the person has some sort of condition of the mind and that transgenderism isn't a real thing.
I will never EVER give my child hormones to change their gender. That’s full on abuse. Huge support for this woman for speaking out against this narrative.
So parents and the child and the doctor have a triple consent system to put a child on hormone blockers. Usually hormone replacement therapy is done between about ages 16 to 18. Children are not directly brought onto hormone replacement therapy. The process is hormone blockers, the child then has years to commit to the gender identity before HRT is administered. The success rate for this is extremely high and it's absolutely saved so many people's lives. It might be easier for you to think about something like anorexia where the mind sees the body as a huge lump of fat even though a person is at a healthy weight. A trans person with gender dysphoria sees themselves as incredibly out of body. Trans people that are able to get help as children have to do a lot less medical work later down the line to achieve the bodies that they want. I've heard from other people that have detransitioned and both of them are still extremely positive towards trans healthcare. Medical transition just wasn't right for them. Luckily children that come out as nonbinary and don't have gender dysphoria or any problems with their bodies can just undergo therapy and social transition
@@kdjetsParents don't need to be informed in many places. Hormone replacement shot way up for preteens; for kids BEFORE puberty would even begin. Hormone blockers cause permanent damage in kids, teens, and adults. It turns people into permanent patients. You're ignorant of human development and medical interventions.
Agreed. I am very muscular but still what my family calls pretty. For about a year when I was 23 I was convinced that I should have been born a male. The doctor who specialized in that sort of thing spoke to me for 45 mins and was more interested in my mom's business than to comment more than how it'll be good for me to transition because I'm already 6 foot tall and that I will blend in better than others. Wrote her approval for surgery but I never did it. Wake to call was telling my sister and her responding with I think you're just doing it because most men are not attracted to you because you're tall and muscular. Realized I was brainwashed and glad she had the confidence to criticize my decision.
I'm so proud of this woman and others speaking up. I'm not anti-trans, however, I do believe counseling should be mandatory and children absolutely should not be allowed to 'transition'. When I was 18 many years ago I made the regrettable decision to abort my first child. I didn't know what I was doing. I was scared. I didn't have counseling and it was unbelievably easy at that time to do it. Nobody talks about the depression that follows years later. I had to seek counseling to overcome the deep regret of that decision. I cannot believe how easy it is to get access to puberty blockers and surgery to 'transition' to another gender, but it is unbelievably difficult to get the medications and medical necessities for other health issues. I know someone with vitiligo. Maybe 80% of their body is covered and their insurance won't do a thing to cover any treatments or medications. This world is a joke.
I think the only way this will stop is if these individuals who regret doing this lawyer up and sue. The more doctors who get sued. The less this will happen without intensive psychological analysis to make sure this is really the best thing for them
YES SEE A THERAPIST. THATS ALL I ASK FOR!! im transgendered & saw a therapist before I started hormones. She's a beautiful woman. Sometimes in life, you don't have to go beyond boundaries. Sometimes, searching what completes you might already is within there, you just have to open your eyes.
She is extremely valid. I think it's really responsible of her to talk about her own individual experience and not put down other people that have had successful medical transition. It's silly for people to have a knee-jerk reaction to people like her and call her transphobic. Detransition healthcare is important as well. Everyone should get the health care assistance that they need. It is tragic that she took her uncomfortability with misogy as thinking she may as well be a man, that's rough. At the end of the day her experiences made her the person she is today and she seems like a wonderful person
Thank you so much for sharing your story! You make such sound points and it's such a necessary conversation. There are adults that are being fast tracked and kids whose futures depend on these conversations. Thank you! No hate here for anyone. These are big decisions!
I too was convinced that I was non binary in my late teens and early 20s but being from a conservative family and not being from the west, I didn't do any medical or social transitioning. I did come out to some family members. I confused my internalized misogyny and trauma that made me feel repulsed from being desired by grown men when I was so young as gender dysphoria.
There is definitely pressure to do everything very quickly. I had come out 4 years before starting T to make sure that I was doing to right thing and then I realized that I was doing the right thing for me. Taking your time and getting resources like therapy is the best things you can do to figure out what’s best for you, your mental health, and your body. Also going to places like planned parenthood is a completely different experience because they aren’t experts on being trans while when you go to a transgender health program they don’t just write you a prescription on the first day. The therapist that she had was most likely not an expert on being trans because getting a letter after 1 appointment is extremely uncommon and risky.
I think if religious groups and conservative/traditional values groups stay out of this issue and stop trying to ban or shame anything they don't like or understand, then there would less of a rush for people to hurry up and do something they are worried will be banned or become a political agenda. I hope that makes sense.

What she didn't say was that she purposefully sought out places that would affirm her quickly and avoided places that wouldn't. Before we start calling her a victim let's realize she's at the age of accountability where she knew better. So, a portion of this is her own fault. She's of an age group that constantly has the world of information at her fingertips yet chose not to use it or ignored it all together. The reality is all Trans people will inevitably end up detransitioning, or committing suicide.

I was saying this from the beginning - children are impressionable - they fully don’t understand the world they are in - they live in it and only want to be loved and accepted by their peers. The only way to know who you are is after you’ve lived your life the way you came into this earth and even then you’re constantly changing.
Sadly it seems that the vast majority of adults are also VERY impressionable (confused and lost).

Our doctors have spread their knowledge all over the world, unfortunately not every clinic has the same strict rules
I thought Germany had the first one?

🙌
Doctors dont become doctors to help people. They become doctors to make more money and have the bonus of being able to pretend like they chose to do it to help people.
I think maybe it's not that they don't care, I think it's because they'll lose their jobs, the patient could sue and call them transphobic for not affirming.
I don't think they are lazy. They are scared of being canceled basically by a group of people that don't want to accept facts or don't want to be told their wrong. Try having your career you worked for be put in jeopardy because you didn't affirm someone's mental health issues to their liking instead of giving your professional opinion.

@@gamesps9562Okay,and? At least she’s trying the effort to look like a woman again. 💀
Kudos! This beautiful, young lady actually makes sense. I couldn't have said it better myself.
Thank you, I hope more young people see this.
Thank you for covering this, this is so important. We need to change! Kids should not be brought into this madness, it’s abuse.
When she transitioned (ftm), she was not a child. She was legally an adult who made the decision all on her own
So you're the other extreme: People who deny legit gender dysphoria exists.
Thank you for speaking up about your experience. We all applaud your strength and wish you all the best ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your story! You make such sound points and it's such a necessary conversation. There are adults that are being fast tracked and kids whose futures depend on these conversations. Thank you! No hate here for anyone. These are big decisions!
Well done for pushing back. God bless you, you are a beautiful woman.
We need more people like this who went through the transition because there's a big discussion about kids transitioning and that is just scary
Very scary
I actually like her a lot. She speaks the truth and she doesn't call criticism hate.
Ok they ( the alphabet and feminist cults) caught you , lost case next 😒
Kids should NEVER be allowed to make permanent medical decisions. I don't care how many therapists say it is okay.
Thanks for giving her a platform.
It's not uncommon their are tons of stories of people getting approved after one appointment
@@9395gb why are you blaming those groups? They are definitely not the culprits here. You do realize there is big money to be made transitioning young people. Follow the 💰
This is a very brave share & needed perspective ❤ Thank You for sharing your life experience with us.
For my son to get approved from the insurance for to get his insulin pump sensors and stuff was a pain and we are talking that without this he will die! Amazing
I’m proud that you broke free from that dangerous world. You’re a beautiful woman ❤
yeah she kinda looks like avril lavigne in some how so pretty..
@@IkeamarcosGarnado-gd7xishe looks like a princess Disney character to me lol❤
Nothing wrong with having therapy first. What’s the worst that could happen , that it could help. Some will still want to transition but many will realise upon speaking to someone that it is actually something else.
