I upgraded my OTH on my own by submitting a records review. An abundance of post service positive evidence. Statements. And submitted the ADRBs' own cases and compared other discharges simular to mine to show inequalities with my initial discharge.
How much does it cost? I've talk to a few pro bono lawyers but none of them want to give me a hand, Primarily because mine is a unusual case & most of them are looking for easy cases that they can basically just file the paper work that a person already has & be done. Mine is anything but that, I'm pretty sure i have ptsd & got it on the base, But i haven't actually been to a shrink, I'm probably going to have to in order to get it upgraded eh?
What about upgrading RE Codes? I tried several times to have my re4 upgraded so I could re-enlist into another branch. I served in the USMC for 4 years and received an honorable discharge with a re code 4. Seven months after my discharge, I became a police officer. I earned my bachelor's degree all while working full-time as a cop. The Naval board for corrections didn't care about what I accomplished after my discharge, only my time in service. Which is totally opposite of how they look at prisoners trying for parole. Ass backwards. Anyhow is it possible to upgrade a re code ?
