RE: detached thumb, I think that is more common is East Asia. The different Korean brands that are made in Korea also have detached thumbs like YooYang and Garmy and Born2Fight and maybe others. It's very hard to actually thumb someone with a foam glove so as someone who has to cut the attachment on a lot of gloves because it puts my thumb in the wrong place, I see it as a positive.

This is what it says in my email when I ordered a pair from them the last time.
      FOR YOUR INFORMATION :
RAKUTEN suddenly decided to close its business through RAKUTEN GLOBAL
at the end of May, accordingly our website there in English will also be deleted.
We/AMERICA-YA will continue our business through EMAILs,
      or through original website.
We/AMERICA-YA accepts orders without handling cost, with payment through PAYPAL.
We/AMERICA-YA are confident about variation and volume of stocks
of WINNING gears, MIZUNO shoes and ASICS shoes for professional use.
If you have need to get winning gears, boxing shoes or wrestling shoes
      kindly contact us through emails.
      address boxing@shop.rakuten.co.jp
      (americaya(AT)h7.dion.ne.jp)
You may review following website for reference to identify item No and so on,
and let us know your needs to place your orders.
Our original website for all items in Japanese
      www.rakuten.co.jp/boxing/
Our page for gloves in Japanese
      item.rakuten.co.jp/boxing/c/0000000102/
So apparently they still take orders from overseas. You just have to email them .

In the future, you can set up a Japanese address through Tenso, so you can use Rakuten Japan or some other seller. Tenso will ship from your (fake) Japanese address to your real address automatically at cost (not too bad afaik - I may try it with a pair of these and let you know).

So after watching this, I decided to pick up a pair of 16oz in white (taking advantage of my proficient use of “google translate” navigating Japanese websites). Mine came in at 16.2oz each side, so I guess I got a well finished pair. I do find the feel of the glove compartment very similar to my Fairtex (perhaps not so surprising since these are made in Thailand) but they are definitely not close to Winning’s cushy hand compartment. For ~55usd, they are really worth every buck; ordered another pair of 12oz in blue and hope they are of a tighter fit; the 16oz is a tad roomy for my skinny forearm...

They only do that to custom gloves where they put embroidery of person s name in Japanese. Otherwise generally speaking, having Japanese letters as designs are not really popular over there since its kind of lame to them so most logos and brands are in some sort of English letters not Japanese.

My perfect glove would be a winning thumb everything hit and move as far as wrist and knuckle feel with a curved secondary grip bar to align better with the different length of your fingers. Lastly I'd go with the fighting freedoms palm because it's nice and cushy for if your doing catching drills with a partner or blocking a high kick.
Another great review though bro this is another really good winning rip off.
Do you like these over the superior winning clones?

Been trying to decide what size boxing gloves to buy for my nephew. He’s 9 1/2 year old about 4’10 and weights around 120 pounds. All of the online kids glove sizes cut off at size 8 and 100 pounds. Was wondering would 8 or 10 ounce in adult size be too big? He’s been wanting boxing gloves for a while I just don’t have any idea what size to go by. Would greatly appreciate any advice.
