Toyota Land Cruiser / PRADO 120
3.0 D4D Turbo Diesel
PART 12
Bildilla Magasin
I'm still working on trying to find the fault, which is giving me error code P0045.
I have been told that if the motor that controls the valve on the turbo gets a lot of resistance, it can burn the controller board.
In this video I check this control unit.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The videos are made by an untrained mechanic! All the videos are therefore to be regarded as my own experiences, and no conclusion. The videos show what I have done, and the result does not always have to be as desired. Sometimes things go directly wrong, and then I try to find out what went wrong, and try to set a better example so that others will not have to make the same mistake as me.
The videos were filmed by myself, and it may have been unknowingly missing to include ALL the details. I try my best to find out what I do and what I find out. But getting cameras in the right places is not always easy!
Very important!!! Do not take any chances with safety, neither your own nor anyone else's! Never work under a car, without and double security. Things can happen, so you must always have extra safety in case something should break or overturn, etc.
Working on cars poses a danger no matter what. So be aware, and if you do not feel 100% sure of the result, rather ask others to help you or double check what you have done, before you expose yourself and others to danger!

Thank for ur videos maybe try clearing code and see
Hello.
Yes, we tried deleting the code many times, but it comes right back.
The suspicion from the person who helped me read the codes last time is that there is a wire that has been damaged or cut off.

Hi, i have same problem, did you ever find out the problem?
No, unfortunately... The car was put on hold for a long time, as I had more than enough problems with it.
But I am waiting for a Toyota mechanic to help me look at this this autumn. Really hope he finds something I've overlooked. It can be so many different things, unfortunately.

Hilsen
Pål
Hello. Did you check under the accelerator pedal ?
Hello.
No, I haven't checked under the pedal.
I have had errors read on a more advanced error code reader, and the person who had it says that there is a constant error between the computer brain and the engine that controls the turbo valve.
Although he deleted the error, it immediately returned.
Probably a short circuit or wire break between the brain under the glove box and the unit on the turbo.
I have barely had time to start disassembling more in the engine compartment, to be able to get a better look to see if it is possible to see damage to the large bundle of wires that go around the engine compartment.
Unfortunately, I have very little time at the moment. I have 2 boys who play and are coaches in Basketball series here where we live. And after the season started, there is a lot I have to help with. A lot of work but also very exciting...
Hoping to get a little more done with the Land Cruiser in a couple of weeks. Before that, there are important matches, which must be prioritized.

Ok understand I to have one but not with that problem sorry I can’t help
Thanks so much for trying to make suggestions! The important thing is to try to help where you can!
That's why I make the videos too. Then people can learn from my mistakes and from the ones I eventually find out and get fixed!
