    Villas will underutilize what has been built, you better make 5 to 10 floors mixed use buildings and create a light rail at least to marina station ... Nigeria is not the poorest country in Africa but clearly doesn't reinvest oil money in its own development, it created the largest population living under poverty line in Africa ( in share as well as in absolute value) ... So much inequality so much wasted potential... These so called leaders need a slap in the face and a reality check ...

    • @rotimikayode1072
      @rotimikayode1072 Год назад

      @koda Oil accounts for only 9% of Nigeria's economy. The earnings from oil is very small compared to the population and it is not enough to take care of Nigeria's university education need alone. More than 75% of Nigeria's annual national budjet comes from other sources.

Secondly, refinery is not a very profitable venture. It is going to take at least 10 years before Dangote can recoup his investment. I believe Dangote built this refinery to help Nigeria and not for profit because there is not much profit in it.

Those countries have few good infrastructures concentrated in few places, but Nigeria has far more good infrastructures scattered all over the country with many bad ones in between. So, the bad ones become the emphasis.

    Eko Atlantic was never supposed to have villas. It was a city that was meant to have supertall skyscrapers and meant to be a metropolis to compare with the skyscrapers of dubai and New York. It's getting to almost 20 years now and all that stands is only 3 buildings. Now you want to go from skyscrapers to small villas.
    At the beginning of this project I suggested the Nigerian government solves the corruption problem before starting any massive project but nobody listened. Now look at the result.

  • @JackKemet
    @JackKemet Год назад

    Eko ATlantic was meant for super tall skyscrapers not villas
    Once again Nigerians are confused about this project.
    After 20 years of land reclamation from the sea there are only 3 buildings
    Meanwhile Dubai had about 100 skyscrapers in just a single year.
    This is shameful. It's like a curse!
    Nigeria needs the death penalty for corrupt money pocketing politicians all over the country.
    The country needs garbage treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, water purification plants, electricity, population and birth control and universal health care system.
