    Some assistants run ahead of the picker and fill in the armadillo holes so the picker operator doesn't have to bounce through them 😉 lol

    Round balers are prone to giving fits from certain areas of certain net rolls. Hopefully you have that issue with your net. It will make you want to pull your hair out.

    Good evening Griggs family, I’m glad you knee is feeling better. With the farms that you’re losing this year. If I may ask how many acres do you farm all together? Have a good rest of the week and be safe out there 🇺🇸🙏🏼

    At the rate that the farm land is being taken by development in 50 years we will not have to worry about selling surplus farm products , there won't be any thing to sell over seas .

    Matt, don't know how you take medical advice, but I have the same problem with my right knee, no infection like you have, just old age for the most part and abuse for the past 88 years. But if you want to give it a try, wear a compression stocking like I got off of Amazon, very inexpensive and solved my intermittent knee pains. Certainly worth a it, my knee starts hurting again if I leave it off for three or four days.

    You should be looking after yourself, hoping for a fast mend. Are you and your helper thinking about taking the act on the road during the off season?

      No, I’m thinking about having the ability to only have to work 8-5 M-F for the next 3 months. We will likely be at NFMS this February though

    Matt are you having trouble with number 3 head choking up. Them older 7760s were bad about that because of lack of air flow. Mine usually done it when the baler was turning. I know a trick to fix that problem.

    • @griggsfarmsllc
      @griggsfarmsllc  2 месяца назад +2

      I don’t have problems with a specific one choking up this year. It’s just random. Last year #6 was bad because the chute was rusted but we replaced the back chutes on all units this summer.

    • @caryenmon1903
      @caryenmon1903 2 месяца назад +1

      I sprayed some slick plate in the back of them chutes and doors. It will make a big difference

    Matt, and Kelly. I understand how Matt feels about staying in the cab instead of on the couch at home. In truth, it's what separates the American farmer and rancher from the rest of the world, it's the thing inside us that overcomes everything thrown at us that we can't control. Of course we need to take care of ourselves. Since most doctors don't often deal with our mentality, you should take a little more time with the doctor to explain that unlike most of the people they see, we don't want an excuse to stay at home on paid days off. Maybe the doctor can give you some guidelines that will help you "keep on, keep'n on".

    While watching the video I'm not sure if your hitting holes in the field but it appears the right rear tire has a lot of play in it. Possibly a loose ball joint on the steering arm or drag link?? Again it just might be my video. Have a good day sir.

    A farmer has to be on his deathbed to not harvest when it’s time .
    Hope you get well soon and have a prosperous year .
    Hate to see the urban sprawl is cutting in to your business.

    For gods sake Matt get of your high horse and look after yourself. Kelly seems to be very competent and im sure she could drive that picker. Stop being so smug about having kelly there to do pysical work on the picker. Im surprised she hasnt left you there to do it yourself. She must have the patience of an angel
