Nobody's win in fast fashion debates. I don't live in Western countries, but i always feel confused by the idea of outfit and....the pressure to not wearing the same clothes. It doesn't make sense to me. Just wear the clothes you have. I also have mixed feeling about sustainability fashion because it's quite expensive and also the rise of trifthing somehow harms poor communities. 😮 Great video! ❤
You're so right on changing outfits. I have to admit that I also love to change, but I learned to sew and now I refashion / upcycle my clothes to love them again. :)
You need a wardrobe of decent quality clothes that can all be mixed and matched with each other. In reality it doesn’t need to be very big because we wear our work uniforms/pjs most of the time. I have a pretty small amount of clothing, and even I have way too much. It’s very easy to go overboard!
Such a good video, this needs WAY more views. We all just need to stop buying so much clothes. We literally need to just spend one year buying no new clothes. Our wardrobe should all be able to support that. I only buy second hand (bar shoes, socks and underwear) and even then I’ve only bought 3 things this year I think. I feel good knowing I’m not supporting fast fashion and my wallet is happy too!
at this point we need to make repeating outfits trendy. no one will stop overconsuming clothes and fashion trends until fast fashion is completely out of trend, and genuine sustainability is in (not the water-down "save the turtles" vsco girls from 2019-2020)
Such an important topic, and in a succinct, digestible video. 👏 I have been that person who made frivolous thrift purchases because “it’s secondhand! so it’s fine!” and then sent half of them back to the thrift store at some point. 🫥 I’m a lot more mindful now and it’s helped me love and enjoy the pieces I do have even more.
