If I had a daughter, I would never let her wear make up. Such a decieving act thats become normalised. Half of you literally look like a different person. Fantasy world mate.

As a cured lover of high end cosmetics, I can guarantee that 95% of high end products suck, no matter what brand. Some brands have some good stuff. Like Mac eyeshadow or Guerlain lipstick. But I think they do that on purpose so you keep buying and trying everything until you find something that suits you, and end up blaming yourself and your undertone for the best result. Truth is, most makeup is a bit off these days on purpose to never really match anyones skin tones, it seems. It makes women restless and wanting more.

I just repurchase products that I already use. Never ever trust these influencers what is working for them might 90 percent not work for your concerns.

I find it so wierd how we made somthing so natural and normal disliked and almost feared. Aging is normal. Its natural. Working against it isn’t. It makes me more angry how woman are the ones selling it to other woman. “Age backwards” no thank you I’d rather look 30 when I’m 30 then 12 just to please the male gaze and feel valid in todays society. There’s so much more to worry about then if I’ve gotten a wrinkle on my ass or forehead.

This isn't just a TikTok problem, it's a RUclips and overall social media problem! I used to watch videos like these, including What's In My Bag videos. And while some of them have been helpful - for instance, helping me discover new brands of food and drinks to try, and that sling backpacks are the perfect fit for me since I am a woman with cerebral palsy and am a minimalist when it comes to my purse anyway, and the Study/Journal With Me and Clean With Me vids are nice when I need an inspirational push - but 99.9% of the time, I just feel so done. I don't care about GRWM videos or even the segments sprinkled in vlogs, as I prefer the natural look and most if not all makeup is just a waste of money, especially when one has an abundance of it. I no longer care about shopping hauls. And let's not forget the constant travel vlogs and the abundance of makeup and purses and things in "Pack My Bag With Me" videos. Like you said in the video: Where's all the money coming from? If I had the amount of money that people are spending in these videos, I'd be saving it, not spending it recklessly. God knows I've done enough of that in my younger years and I'm now 40. I'm not doing to sit here and say I don't slip up once in awhile, cause I definitely do. But never to this level. Ever. I look back on the years I overspent with regret. Anything I feel I no longer need or want, I donate it. It literally sickens and angers me to see videos like these anymore. I'm so done with all of it. And sure one can say, "Well, it's their money, blah blah blah". Okay, allow me to share some advice my own aunt passed down to me in my 20s and 30s: "Just because you have a lot of money, doesn't mean you need to spend all of it." That's especially true when you consider the state of the world we are in now. And our survival needs should outweigh our wants everytime. They say as you get older, you become wiser. And I personally want to spend the rest of this year saving instead of spending. Especially in case of an emergency crisis. And as a Christian, I'd rather live for God and His Kingdom of Heaven than for myself and a lost and damning material world. I wish more people felt the same and I hope and pray they will. I'm honestly grateful to avoid all of that. I barely scroll tru insta stuff or mostly ignore these and I feel great with myself, idk wtf is today's beauty standard and what tomorrow will be neither. Looking at these just gives me pity about these people, they spread that awful narcissistic aura and it grosses me out. I feel even more pity for the people looking at these girls and shaming themselves for not looking like.. "that". I hope these people will one day get out of this dark hole of social media and love just the way they are. Because every human is beautiful in their own way and every bodies has unique shapes and textures that really make all of us special. Please don't pressure yourself and your body health. These poor fake ass curves and beauty trends aren't worth it

Gosh, I love see both of you in the video! With social media and many aesthetics, it's easy to fall into comparison trap and the urge to spend more money to enjoy something. Just remember that the American population sets different beauty standards for different races so if you’re mixed, black+white, like me, and you come out a little too white, you’re automatically ugly because “Black features on a white person looks ugly.” 😐😐😐😐
