- Today, we're taking you guys with us on the first mow of the season with the Exmark Vertex on one of our commercial sites. Today we're bouncing back and forth between cleanups and first mows, which is a weird start to the spring rush.
These are the new Exmark Vertex X-Series mowers, one with a 72" deck, the other unit with a 60" deck, and Tractus tires. Both are powered by the new Kawasaki 38.5hp engine, and I must tell you, this thing purrs!

Why blow all that grass in to the landscape beds?
Yeah not the best, but we're remulching them Saturday, not a big deal.
Clean ups in Connecticut have been tough. The ground is completely saturated and we have been hammered with wind for the last 4 months. I had one property go from an 8 hour clean up lat year to a 20 hour clean up this year just from sticks.

Hey Brian, I run a small lawncare company, and I’m just curious what made you pull the trigger on a 72” mower instead of a 60” mower?
We’ve been getting a lot of larger sites lately, so we wanted to try a 72 and see if it helped with production. I believe it will.

Amazing! I decided to go with the ferris 36 inch z1 stand on.
only problem is it's leaving a finely mulched strip of grass and I can't figure out why... any ideas?

Exmarks are expensive for a reason … they are great and I’m a Deere guy waiting for new q800 series

We’re in southeast Michigan and are totally feeling the spring cleanup crunch. Our first mow day is Thursday weather pending. Then mulch Friday-Sunday then hopefully a full mow route next week. Only one complaint from a residential so far so doing pretty good 😂
The new Vertex machines stripe really well. Then again they are Exmark and I’ve never seen any Exmark cut badly.
It’s crazy I just the common ground property I have here in st louis and they got flags in my way

Just grabbed the new Scag vride XL. I was looking at the Exmark X series and Ferris Z3X. Came down to local parts/dealer support and cost (Exmark is very proud of their new X series). Congrats on the mowers and I wish I could justify the Exmark as a homeowner lol.

Yo Brian quick question for you. Do you guys spray flower beds for weeds or do any shrub pruning on your maintenance sites too? I noticed in the trailer only 1 small hedge trimmer and no backpack sprayers.

I got a new to me 16ft trailer and have been redoing it and I didn't realize how much paint it would take well 16 cans down and 17 more ordered hopefully I'll get my trailer back next week
