🎬 ON TODAY'S MANUAL: The Sonicake Wave Crush is a solid choice for Bit Crushing and lofi effects, and is surprisingly versatile. I love using Bit Crushers as fuzzes with different textures, and this one proves to be a perfect noise machine if you're looking for a pedal capable of completely destroying your tone (in the best way possible). Sonicake smartly combined the Bit Crush circuit with a handy switch that adds filters to the effect, letting you select between Normal (no filter), Radio and Gramo, these make up a great addition on any Shoegaze setup! Radio adds an EQ curve that simulates a small vintage radio speaker and slightly distorts the sound - a little too humpy for my taste. Gramo, by far my favourite, adds a slow moving vibrato effect, as well as a high pass filter that turns you guitar tone into a warped tape vinyl sound! It's awesome and extremely useful to create shoegaze and alternative rock (: I may warn you to be careful though.. It's highly addictive (;

the bit reduction is weird. how reducing the bit works is that it uses pulse code to encode the single. at 16 bit there is 16 pulses per sample. for 1 bit there is one pulse per sample. at 2 bit the single basally like square wave because no many sampling levels.

The additional noise when bit is turned up is really annoying, unless you *want* that extra noise.

This is apparently a very similar (if not the same) circuit as the Hotone Krush, which is on my board 😁😁😁 super cool to hear the sounds you get out of it, definitely re-inspired me to use the Krush more!
