Its so good, because its a very faithful recreation of those beloved classic British sports cars of the 1960s and 70s. Mention the MG Midget 1500cc or the Triumph Spitfire, also with a naturally aspirated 1500 engine, Both cars were very underpowered, but handled brilliantly on a winding B road, and due to the right amount of power from their engines, you never became overwhelmed by the performance, or lack of it. The current Mazda MX5 soft top, ( not the RF) is as close to a modern Spitfire or Midget, and that's why the car is such a sweet one, to own and drive. The whole point of a tiny sports car, is to be able to drop the roof as the weather improves. The RF is a very pretty design, but it costs a lot more, weighs a lot more, and does not really give you the true sports car experience.
Is the 2021 #Mazda #MX5 #Miata looks great, and best-looking sports car today. That is such an enjoyable machine, I can't even imagine how great this car must be I love Mazda more than BMW X5. Has anyone under 6' 3" reviewed an MX-5? Lots of tall reviewers comment on how cramped it is. It's one of the few cars you actually have to sit in first to see if you actually fit. I'm just on 6' tall and fit in quite comfortably. The seats are quite adjustable as is the telescopic steering wheel. Try before you buy.
