After doing some math and experiments, the breakdown why this WS2 combo is so hard. Basically after the 3,1 hits, you have 22 frames until you are actionable again. The WS3 has a 14 frame startup. Based on this video, after his 1 hits, and at the frame his WS3 hits, it is 21 frames. This means 21 - 14 = 7. So we have 7 frames to input iWS3. With the trick he shows in his newer video, where he basically buffers 3 and does a qcf4 (while holding 3) to perform an iWS3. These inputs would actually look like this to the buffer: f, n, f, df, f4. So we have 5 inputs here, and 7 frames to perform. This means outside of having a 7 frame window, you need to begin the iWS3 within 2 frames of being actionable out of his 1 hit, and then perform a frame perfect qcf4. A fucking FRAME PERFECT qcf4 (almost). The speed at which you need to do this is ridiculous. I do believe if you hold forward before you begin, you can actually buffer forward before the neutral input. So this might give you one extra frame.

⁠@@taeshankYeah, I have a video on my channel for your same thoughts lol. It’s a great new staple for ws2. Does way too much damage to not try for, but I usually hold df and just wait for the visual of the duck. My CD isn’t fast enough, but I can use the 7 frames to “react” and do a release to neutral and press 3. I say “react” because I’ve practiced the timing enough to know when the duck should be coming.
Also, according to the frames on my video, it looks more generous than inputting within 7 frames. I had the correct side roll ukemi set, so that shouldn’t be the problem.

Got it first try after watching. All you have to do is practise holding down forward and let go + press 3 as soon as DJ ducks

I’ve found next to a wall iws3 from wave dash will give a good wallsplat

It gives a very strong wall splat in combos. Gives enough time to get bf1+2 as an ender, which is hard to get

Ewgf- Electric Wind God Fist it’s the Mishimas crouch dash down forward 2.
WS- while standing
WR - while running
SS/SW - sidestep or side walk
CD- crouch dash

I think all from quick crouch. Idk about t8 but in t7 as dj you have to do cd->b+3 to get ws3, unlike cdiws4, so it's much slower.

no trick to it sadly, just practice
I just hold d and have a feel for when I can let go, you need 6f to fully enter full crouch, after that immediately let go of d and press 3
