    I just bought my first set of oil pastel, could you tell me what were you using to blend the colours? I loved your video, so much inspiration.

      She's using a blending stump traditionally used for graphite and charcoal. They're cheap and you can clean them by rubbing the top on sandpaper. Or just keep one for every color family.
      You can also use cotton buds, colour shapers or your finger.

    Grew up hating Pentel sticks at school. RUclips prove that you can create amazing art with those greasy sticks. Even Oil-like portraits. Unbelievable.

    Yes, that's helpful.
    But like many others these days, I use my phone to access the internet and it would be a lot easier for is to follow along if you use BOTH those little pallette cards during the video and having the brands, state whether they are artist or student grade, colour names and if applicable, colour numbers listed in the details areas of your tutorials.
    It's just that they're a whole lot easier to read that way when using a phone or small tablet. Especially for newbies like me.

    Mungyo oil pastel or soft oil pastel?

    • @alloneart8796
      @alloneart8796  9 месяцев назад

      Hi! These are Mungyo oil pastel. I believe they are considered soft pastel as well

  • @ssanwio

    do you recommend hot compress watercolor paper for oil pastels?

    • @alloneart8796
      @alloneart8796  2 года назад +2

      I think that should be no problem as long as there are some textures. But I've been mainly using cold press watercolor 300 g and oil/acrylic paper and love them, mainly because of texture of the paper and the thickness so that it's easier for me to store.
