Thank you! The rhubarb plant is doing well although I think I might be want to mulch it with leaves because it's getting to be hot here and it's been bolting more than it ever has. I heard they taste best in the spring so I've been harvesting for freezing lately. The boys loved the pie, it's so good! Hope you have a great day ☺️
You're right, I went out last night and expanded their space, so they now have access to the entire coop. They were growing so fast and spilling their water... I needed to clean out the coop again and expand their range. They're happy and pretty soon they'll be going down the ramp and going outside! Thanks for watching. Appreciate your comment.
Good morning. We finally have some sun today just outside Mondovi, Wi. My rhubarb went crazy this year. I have already froze 10 half sheet pans of diced rhubarb. Years ago I was told by an elderly lady that rhubarb should always be pulled not cut. I always pull it now. If it matters I don't know. Grab it low, pull straight up. Pops right out. Have a happy day!
Good morning! Nice to hear from Mondovi, I know right where that is. I've also heard about that too (in a homesteading video) nice to hear it again, kind of solidifies it for me. I have tried twisting and pulling and sometimes it does pop for me and sometimes not. I wasn't sure how important it was... usually a good sign to listen to when coming from an old timer! I'll start doing it again, thank you! Have a great Memorial Day.
Got the wife talked into making me a strawberry rhubarb pie yum! I heard a train ran into a downed tree between Gordon And Solon the other day. I guess there was quite a bit of damage to the engine.
That is awesome, strawberry rhubarb pie is the best! I hope it turns out amazing! It is crazing you say that about the train, I recently saw an advertisement for GPS or something and it showed a train running into a down tree, and I wondered how often this happens. Crazy you say it just happened between Gordon and Solon. Hopefully the drivers are okay. Thanks for your comments! Hope you have a great weekend!
I love you're videos. There has been lost of storms we have flooding on the Minnesota River and the cotton wood river. How did you do in the ternment? I think it cool how you make the pie ever year and it looks really good. You guys are doing great keep them videos comeing .
Thank you for the nice and encouraging comment. Really appreciate that. Hopefully the flooding isn't doing too much damage around there. My dad lives on the Mississippi River and I'll have to check with him to see how the flooding is there - I bet the river is up with all this rain too. Shane and Liam got 26th out of 60 boats - Shane had to fish day 2 alone because Liam couldn't go. They have another tournament in a couple weeks too. Hope you have a great week!
2 Timothy 3:16-17 King James Version 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. God bless you .
We love rhubarb pie as well! They got 26th out of 60 boats, so not too bad - Shane fished day two on his own which is really challenging so hopefully Liam will not get sick halfway through the next tournament, lol. This first tournament always seems a little challenging, weather wise and just overall difficult - they have another tournament in a couple weeks. Shane will probably show some of it since it really does consume a lot of the week with pre-fishing! Hope you have a good Memorial Day!
Thank you! You're not going to believe this, but I bought it at Walmart for $15.00. I needed new gardening jeans for cheap and this caught my eye. They work great for gardening.
I love gardening in my bare feet, sometimes I can't if I'm doing some really hard work or if there's a lot of snakes, usually because I have weeded in a while. Snakes and bees are what I worry about with bare feet but other than that, I do really like it. Your sister's got the right idea!
Happy Memorial Day! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great week to come. Thank you so much for watching!
Oh my Lord, look at that rhubarb! Those boys are going to love your rhubarb pie! What a beautiful piece of land you guys have❤

I know, the trees are looking so good, I missed the leaves! Thank you for watching and hope you have a great week.
Great Job guys!

You need definitely more space for those chicks

Super din România ❤
Thank you!
Barbachair, scary dangerous, careful guys 👍
I always take the leaves and flowering parts far out into the woods because I don't want the dog or the chickens getting into them!

Love rhubarb pie 🥧 it’s my favorite. You’ll have to let us know how the walleye tournament went.

You're like my sister. She calls herself the barefoot gardener.
