I subscribed and came back to see the jumping spider slings growing up, how did that go? Aslo, very much enjoyed meeting Ms. Melon! Would love some updates, please?
Unfortunately none of the slings made it and suddenly all died in a span of a week or two I think. I'm not exactly sure why but it could be because the temperature was incorrect, humidity was incorrect or there was a lack of ventilation but I'm not sure which of these it was or if it was another reason as the conditions seemed OK to me (temp and humidity was fine at the time, perhaps ventilation?) Glad you enjoyed meeting Melon, thanks for watching!
A spray bottle will work just fine, and it's what I use as well. A misting system also does work well, it's just much more expensive then spraying down the enclosure yourself
A priori sphagnum is the main cause of the death of Ceratophrys in captivity. They ingest it by accident and cannot eliminate it, which ends up killing them. Have you ever tried real plants? Wouldn't that make it possible to maintain a higher humidity and therefore more interesting for the frog ? Anyway, thank you for sharing your passion !
Oh damn I didn't know spagnum moss was the main cause of death! I did know of the dangers of impaction so I always tong feed to try and avoid this but not that it was the most common reason for death. I'll take out the moss in the substrate next time I'm changing it. I haven't tried using real plants as she digs up even bark and fake plants and I imagine she would do the same to live plants before they can properly establish themselves. Thanks for the great advice though!
this is just for young frogs, however anything they can digest should be fine while still bad, anything undigestible will most likely kill the frog, as they are quite dull animals and mistake substrate for Food st times
There are many live plants that you can use in a pacamn enclosure. I bave mine in fully bioactive enclosures and the plants i use hold up very well.
That's an amazing upgrade! The setup is amazing aswell!
Thank you! It's definitely better than before

Hi, I would like to ask does pacman frog needs exo terra misting system?

"Observe and revel in her beauty." Shows her backside. Lol. Are you planning any more uploads?
Perhaps in the future. I do have a video that's half done. Maybe I'll try and finish that one
