Just found a bold jumping spider on my dining room ceiling. Its starting to freeze outside at night so I don't want to put it back outside at least until spring. Watching videos to see what to do for it for the winter months. How exciting to have such a cute guest!

Great vid. i just got my first Phidippus regius "White Bahamas" both male and female. i want 2 x exoterra nano terrarium, to house them, they look great. but im very interested in the led light you got. im very cunfused on what to buy? perhaps i can get some pointers/links 🙂

Ants are cool as hell. I always like to see them when they're ready to fly. The ones in my area don't bite, but I got a nasty surprise when I went to Texas and sat on the ground.

So I was in the bathroom and yeah, I was sitting on the toilet. I saw something out of the corner of my eye that caught my attention. It was a spider and like I have always done, I grabbed a piece of toilet paper and I was fixing to smash it. The spider just stood there stating at me. Now I don't like spiders and it might be cause I was bitten by a Brown Recluse when I was little. I almost lost a big chunk of meat out of my arm due to that bite. Anyways, I'm not scared of them and I'll even go as far as to leave the jumping spiders alone in the windows. This little spider that was staring at me, I put my glasses on and saw it was indeed a tiny jumping spider. It was little and like it just went off on its own for the first time. Anyway I stuck my hand down and I just knew it was going to fly off at any second, but no it didn't. This spider crawled on my hand and even let me take a short video of him or her. I sent the video to my wife and she replied " GROSS "!!! Well I was done and was fixing to get up, I let my hand back down and it jumped off at lightning speed. I knew they were fast, but this surprised me. A little while later I went back I to the bathroom and the little spider came back out too me. I never even thought that they would do that. Crazy, so I filmed another video of it on my arms and sent it to my wife. She was NOT impressed at all. I just said I think I found a friend. She said that if she saw it, it would be dead. So now I have to figure away to show her that he doesn't bite and will come and go on its own terms. Pretty cool and I enjoyed every second of that interactionn.....

I found a zebra jumping spider in my kitchen a few days ago and all I know if that it's the size of an ant but it loves fruit flies, i only have a small platsic box with some paper towels in it and it's usually either hiding under it or trying to climb to the roof, the only thing I have to feed it is tie fruit flies around my house so far

Do NOT use a jar like that. They web at the top of their enclosure. So doing it the way you have it set up currently will rip into their nest every time you go to open it. Turn that upside down so that their top will be actually the bottom of the jar.

What upgrade will you give the corn snake? Once my girl gets 4 or 5 feet long, a 67 gallon (48*18*18-inch/122*46*46 cm) enclosure will do nicely.

are these plastic plants? WTF? ....

i dont know if this is a good idea this PU foam is toxic for humans while working with it or breathing it in and in contact with water the chemicals will release into the water over time. Dont think this is a good idea for animals which are sensitive.

The music really suits the jumpy jumpy jumps for some reason, it's like it captures the innocence of their personalities. I love these spiders, I have two, one is a pet, the other was a baby I caught in my room, it's mad like, I never would have thought I would find a wild jumper in Ireland of all places, I feel blessed whenever they interact with me.

That wandering jew is struggling because, I think, it probably doesn't have drainage holes? I have a baby tears plant like that that I put in my crestie's viv about 8mos ago. It has established roots but it hasn't grown AT ALL. I really don't get it. My nerve plants and begonia both died back upon planting and they DO put out New growth, but it immediately stagnates and they won't grow either. I can't figure out wtf is going on, and it bugs tf outa me. The other plants are great.

Long time breeder here, save yourself some time...they can be kept communally up to 3rd instar without cannibalizing each other with feedings twice a day.

There are many live plants that you can use in a pacamn enclosure. I bave mine in fully bioactive enclosures and the plants i use hold up very well.

I would love to get some of those, but I'm not gonna pay 30-40 bucks +shipping for a simple garden spider.
