Vewlix Diamond Black Current Setup

- Here is my current setup on my Vewlix Diamond Black. I've gotten a lot of requests for this so here you go! Enjoy!
Note: At the time of making this video I was using an HD Fury to convert the HDMI digital signal to VGA analogue. I did this because the only cable coming from the monitor was a VGA cable. Thanks to the great advice from my subscribers I learned that the monitor on the Vewlix also has DVI input. Now, I am currently using an HDMI to DVI cable on my setup. Was this a noobish error? Absolutely! A huge thanks to the community!

Is there anything covering the LCD monitor on a Vewlix? I don't see a beautiful shiny plexi layer in front of the screen like other arcade cabinets. It looks matte like a bare screen.
+Someone Else Sorry for the late reply. It’s a soft matte plastic that covers the screen. It’s scratch resistant since it’s made for arcades.
sweet looking cab
this is truly amazing
OMG!!! Just what I needed to see. I need to know the extra parts/accessories needed to convert my vewlix so that I can play my PS4/XBOX One. Right now it has jamma board with all of the old school roms. I need the names of the controller pcb, audio converter and video converter. Please, please , please! Great video and love your cabinets. Mine will arrive this Monday. Thanks
"BISOOOOOOOON" LOL love the Blodsport reference #OkayUSA
Im waiting for a video with all lights on and full volume on the vewlix, when tekken 7 releases.
Like a nice "attract mode" full blast shot ;)
.....*wisper* DO IT *wisper*
Nice videos, the vewlix is so minty you can smell it.
+m4ntr0x Will do. Promise.
Nice looking cab. looking really good.
+moomert1 Thanks man! More vids to come!
Love the videos!!! I love your new cabinet even more. Can you provide any English web links to find out more information and specifications on your cabinet? I am really interested in knowing the make & model number of your monitor. From what I have heard it is a Panasonic. It is a show stopper. It is the best Vewlix cabinet I have seen.
Another great video, thanks. So the Diamond Black comes with a 1080p VGA monitor? That sounds a bit weird; previous Vewlix being 720p it perhaps made a bit more sense. So your HD Fury has to convert the PS4 digital HDMI out to analogue?
Final question (sorry!); what is the raised black section at the back of the panel to the left of the 100 yen used for? Is there anything underneath it, and if so could you show it in a future video?
+coderkind Thanks! Yes, the monitor is full HD (1080p). The previous versions were 720p but I'm 100% that this one is full HD. The HDFury converts the HDMI signal to analogue. The raised panels are for extra accessories such as card readers. I can take these off and insert a card reader. This model does not have one equipped. You would have to buy it separately.
I've since looked at a Taito flyer/PDF for this cabinet and it lists DVI (digital) as being one of the monitor inputs. I guess the real issue with getting it working is converting the audio, as otherwise you could use a HDMI-to-DVI adapter to keep the video signal from your consoles in digital form (no additional lag with converting to analogue) - you're then left trying to ensure your analogue audio syncs with your digital video?
Or am I overthinking this?!? What I'm saying is that I think you HAVE to convert your audio (due to the speaker support), but I'm unsure you need to do it for the video.
+coderkind Very interesting! I remember connecting my PS3 directly to the Sega Lindbergh (also a JVS cabinet) and the image was blurry when using a VGA cable. I combed the internet and understood that the HD Fury helps translate the signal from the console to the JVS cabinet. I'm not too sure why though. I never though about connecting the PS3 directly with a DVI cable. I'll have to try it out. Thanks!
nice, didn't even think about the hdmi converter. I was hoping youd say where you got it from.lol
+Jermaine Davis I got mine from Amazon. Try this link:
www.hdfury.com
Terry Bogard lol I meant the cab,but this is great info as well.🖒
+Jermaine Davis Your best shot is here! www.rs2006.co.jp/overseas.htm
Terry Bogard thanks! totally forgot about this place, gotta bookmark it asap.
Hey terry, so is this just a cabinet that you play your console game on? So you attach the console game and add the joystick etc etc ?
I know this was from 2017 but do I need all the adapters to connect to a pc since ally fight games are on steam
nice
+RaulBillieJean Thanks! I’ve been playing Marvel vs Capcom on it lately!
Thanks for the video share. Question for you, does the instruction manual that came with the cabinet have information regarding the specs of the monitor? Can you please share that info if possible? Thanks.
+Tusharix It's a 1080p monitor. It can play 30mhz games but can't run 15mhz.
LCD or LED? Hoping it's LED as their last models were LCD. Also, do you know of any differences between this cabinet and the old Vewlix Diamond cab?
+Tusharix It's LCD. This version is 1080p compared to some other models. Also, the control panel and the marque aren't backlit. You can upgrade the cab with parts from Taito if you wish.
Hey Terry a Playstation question, I see the controller button icons floating around how's that done?
Nice cabinet! I was just wondering if you know if the monitor supports 15 khz VGA signal?
It does not! You need a converter for that.
@@terrybogard7505 thanks!
Could it be possible to have the cabinet on the right be player 2 while the left one is player one, like a HDMI adapter that plugs into one console to two TVs, it'll be kick-ass to have both cabinets back to back, then again online might be easier side by side instead.
+Mike Kazz I gotta look into that.
So that's where you golden buttons went to.
+Mike Kazz It didn't look good in the end. 😏
What is processor?
