Hi there. Off topic. Anyone have any legit contacts with Card Hobby from China. This Chinese company is honestly holding 20k USD worrth of my purchases hostage. DM's and emails to prove. If anyone has any contacts with this company it'd be greatly appreciated. They were at the Dallas card show this past weekend and will be at the National.
Ichiro was one of my favorite baseball players as a kid. Loved watching him in his prime. It's exciting times what Ohtani has been doing past few years, and what it means for the sport. Really cool that's leading to a new generation of collectors in Japan. Great video. Thanks for the tour, Geoff
This has to be one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen I had no idea this place existed thank you so much for sharing this is why I love your Channel
Thank you for your introduction. We came back from Tokyo last week. On this trip we visited MINT Shinjuku, Shibuya and Kichiji stores. My son is very happy and harvests a lot, this is his dream trip.
Hey Geoff! Your video gave me goosebumps. You may have noticed the gentleman said Version 1 BBM is the most prized set in Japan. There’s a group of us that have been collecting Shohei’s 2013 BBM 183 Version 1 and their parallels for a while now. All of the BBM are low print run (consensus 10,000 base), only about 12 different sets, but BBM is the premier manufacturer in Japan. They do all of the signings for the players. The 183 Version 1 Gem 10 was selling for $500 six months ago. $2900 sale yesterday. Most people are asleep at the wheel still on these though. Given the limited supply versus 2018, these are indeed rare treasures. To get a parallel 183 Gold, Holo, or Red. So rare!
Pandora's box is opened. No longer will we collect rare 2013 Ohtani Japanese True Rookie cards at such criminally low prices. Everyone, enjoy ride while you can.
Holy. The selection and presentation of singles is incredible. So much more organized than the majority of shops we have in the US. What a fun experience.
One of the top places that I want to go and visit in the future. Great to see the influence of cards over there and it looks like the kids had a great time. See you at the National!
Wow, I wasn't expecting this! I'm a native Portland Oregonian but I live in Kyoto, Japan and I watch your videos almost every morning before I leave for work. I hope you get to come out and visit Kyoto sometime, it's really the soul and spiritual center of Japan! I'm glad you and your family are getting to experience Japan's beauty!
That must have been such an amazing experience for you & the kids, I felt like I was over there having an awesome time while watching! The Japanese Pokemon Culture is truly a skeptical to behold & l love how much they've embraced sports cards, as well! GREAT VIDEO!
THIS IS SO COOL TO SEE , THANK YOU, SO INTERESTING AND SUCH A TREAT TO SEE STUFF IN JAPAN WHEN 99% I WONT BE THERE IN PERSON TO ACTUALLY SEE THIS. SO THANK YOU.
Japan known for its class and presentation. Great to see and I have to go visit one day! The Ohtani rookie Japanese cards surely a good long term play. And Japan get a lot of nice trading card exclusives as well. I would’ve had a field day visiting all those places. Thanks for the video, man! 👍
Thanks for always sharing the hobby all over. Just amazing how big Japans hobby seems to be potential bigger than US. Wonder how the $$$ spent is compared to how our market has been over the last 3 years?
Unbelievable video… I really enjoy it. Is nice seeing other countries getting involved in the cards there is a lot of money to make in this hobby. I hope it continues to grow..👏👍🙏☮️✝️🇺🇸 from Louis 🙂
I think the most underrated ohtani card is the team set rc. It's a really nice photo of him batting and I believe one of if not his first Topps card. Very low pop count as well
What a video! Electricity must not cost as much as in America because the lighting is so intense everywhere.those stores would cost a fortune just to keep the lights on here in the U.S.
Nice to see a Japan card shop. It should be mentioned Japan has strict privacy laws and that you should not freely film like that. Don't film people without their consent and children should be blurred out (not yours of course) just film the cards and shop if consent s given.
No vintage or Sadaharu Oh? Hopefully you grabbed some Roki Sasaki and Munetaka Murikami? Definitely should have grabbed the Lebron James - Mamba's choice at 10:43 though !!!!
Ohtani is great but let’s not act like he’s the first great Japanese player. Ichiro, Dice K and Koji Uehara for the Red Sox and now Yoshida Masataka also with the Red Sox. The game of baseball has seen a lot of great players from Japan over the last 30 years. They deserve to be mentioned here along with Ohtani
Ohtani is in a different stratosphere than each of those players you mentioned. He needs to play on the East coast because as popular as he is, I think he is still underrated because he is with the Angels.
@@billsmafia_ I don’t believe he needs to move to an East coast team at all just be on a better one. He could go to a lot of places and things could be the same or worse for him.
I would love to see you get more involved with TCG cards like magic the gathering and yugioh, it is such an amazing side of card collecting that your audience deserves to be exposed to!

The organization and display cases are tremendous. What care and pride the Japanese have in their businesses. Vertical displays would save our backs!

fleer!
I’m surprised everything is locked up. I thought that stealing would be non-pretty much non-existent in Japan.
It's not locked up from stealing. It's for protection from damages.
So cool 😎
This was so cool!
Damn I need to go back to Japan !!
great video
Every Card Shop is like The Apple Store :)
There was no mention of his official card the 2013 BBM first version🤯

Geoff Wilson is the fool who says Lorcana will overtake Pokémon 😂
No vintage or Sadaharu Oh? Hopefully you grabbed some Roki Sasaki and Munetaka Murikami? Definitely should have grabbed the Lebron James - Mamba's choice at 10:43 though !!!!

Do Ohtani comps currently sell higher in Japan compared to the US? Use his Chrome PSA 10 as an example if able to answer
