No such thing as a 1970 Dodge Charger Daytona, just 1969

69 was the heartbeat of everyone at that time. This 70 was for NASCAR only.
You can just Google it mate 😇😇😇

@@AMERICAN-AUTOSNo, even those who drove Nascar in 1970 were of the 1969 model year

No car company has ever made cars" just for NASCAR". NASCAR has(had?) a rule that the car raced on the track had to be available to fans in the stands. Hence the Boss 429 and low production numbers for the Daytona and the Superbirds. Detroit is not in the stock car fabricating business.

@AMERICAN-AUTOS take your own advice. The Dodge Charger Daytona was a 1969 model only. Chrysler supposedly built 500 examples to meet NASCAR's homologation rules. NASCAR rules at the time allowed a car to be run for 3 years, meaning it could run in 1969, 1970, would have run in 1971 had NASCAR not outlawed it in favor of standard production bodies instead of aero specials. The 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird was the only winged car built by Chrysler that year, but NASCAR upped the minimum number Chrysler had to build from 500 to 1 per Plymouth dealership.
The Ford areo cars were both 1969 models, the Ford Torino Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II.
Just look at the race results for 1970 at Racing Reference. Any wins listed for 1970 Dodge, Ford, or Mercury were their non areo cars on short tracks.

a lot of your statements are wrong. there was no 1970 dodge Daytona. only 1969. the Plymouth superbird was built in 1970.
the engine in the '84 Cadillac the HT4100 did not have cylinder displacement shut down option. that engine was available in 1981 only and was called the V864. better research makes for a better video.
