That top bunk while the truck is in motion is a no no if something bad happens. I drove team over the years and we had our own bedding ( fitted sheets, blanket, pillows). Just roll everything up at changeover and toss it upstairs. Only takes a minute. Crappy trainer if they put you on top while they're driving
Your trainer is a savage for having you sleep on the top bunk while driving. I run teams and we swap out sheets on the bottom bed. Only sleep up top when we are parked for more than ten hours
Having the right trainer is essential. I had a crap trainer, not from CR England (local company), & it was a nightmare. And yes, I slept in the top bunk while he was driving. It wasn't even training, it was like team driving. My FIRST time ever driving he went to his bunk 20 minutes into my first drive. I was on my own for the next 8 hours or so. Drove through Atlanta on the way to NC. He claimed it was a 'test.'
I haven't use a Comdata card front of my paycheck years but when I did have it activated I could have Walmart took it random gas station took it also it's good it's good if you live on the road don't go home no outstanding bills
Find another company asap. Don’t wait the year for them to forgive the loan, it’s not worth it. Keep checking with Melton, they’re a decent company and you’ll make 2x as much working there. Good luck
I can't give a definitive answer. I want to say no, but things could be different from then. Just treat it like the road test given by the state and you'll do fine. Good luck!
Both. They have the 3rd party certificate on the wall in the onsite portables where the teaching occurs. I believe its for the skills test only. I know the CR England shuttle dropped off some folks at the DPS office then took the rest of us to the portables. Knowlege test at the DPS office then skills test at the "school". I'm 51% sure.
After the fact, yeah. He paid for one or two meals but I refused several. Ignorance is bliss. I'm just happy I was able to allow other drivers to make more money from my efforts.
I believe you can bring your spouse or anyone over a certain age. I don't think pets are allowed. Ask your recruiter if your in communicaé with one. There might be an additional fee for having a rider. But I'm not 100% sure on any of the aforementioned things.
Yes I can. I have a 2022 International LT 625 with the cabinet for a built in fridge. I plan on getting one in the near future. The Freightliner Cascadia I trained on just had a mounting base for what I think would be for a fridge.
Don't stay, terrible company. You can make more driving for certain LOCAL companies with no experience. I make $6,000- 9,000 driving locally, Averaging around $8,000 a month now days. Just look there are good paying jobs out there for new drivers. If your not making at least $250 a 8-10 hour day then you are getting shafted as a new driver. I currently get $30 hr, plus added overtime pay. I will not do per mile B.S., etc. It screws the driver out of money in my professional experience.

Trainer made both of us sleep up top while driving. I had the regular top bunk and he had the one right above the driver. Trying to sleep was crazy
Sleeping on the top bunk while truck is in motion is usually illegal
Indeed

They say those brothers that own it are really crooked
Run while you can
I'm considering it.
Do they train you if you don’t pass your road test and you have your cdl already ?
I can't give a definitive answer. I want to say no, but things could be different from then. Just treat it like the road test given by the state and you'll do fine. Good luck!
Do you know what is the cpm for driver mentors at CRE ?
I do not.
Do they make you do another DOT Physical at orientation?
Not when I went through. I had my medical in hand.
Are you with cr am hoping to be in Laredo
You can let them know and they will let you go to the one you want.
What is the name of the motel that you stay at i like to look it up
Econolodge on Santa Ursula Ave.
You used to drive tankers.???
Both M1's and the dragon wagon.
Do they have on site testing are do you have to go to the dmv

Thanks for the info
At the SLC facility, they do all the testing right then and there. You can get sent to one of the other terminals for upgrade though.
Do you know you’re just making for trainer by running hard. Does he buy you food at least?
After the fact, yeah. He paid for one or two meals but I refused several. Ignorance is bliss. I'm just happy I was able to allow other drivers to make more money from my efforts.
Which Armed Forces where you in.
The nasty girl division of the Army. Texas.
Not trying to offend, but why would you take a job and not know what it’ll pay?
Finances were getting critical, first opportunity that would hire, and I have no idea what I'm doing.
Can u bring your spouse and dog with you?

CR England is the worst company in my opinion
@@MichelleSpence-pw4bp Lmao 🤣
Worse than western express? 😮
No way ! Cr pays more regional
I’ve seen this same comment about just every trucking company in the industry. The problem is most truck drivers don’t actually WANT to be truckers
Why?
Do they have microwaves and ice box in the motel room that you stay in
Yes they do.
Can you put a icebox in your on truck am planning on going to there school her soon

Solo? With cre? You make me laugh. 😂

What is your experience with England?
I don't see ANY companies that pay that well for no experience.. I find it hard to believe... I have 8 months and get rejected constantly
