when you donate things like your pack. . . . leave a note inside one of the pockets. It is like finding a treasure when I buy something at a thrift store and end up finding something cool from the previous owner. One time I bought an WWII army coat from a very simple thrift store in my area not a Goodwill or a St. V. Inside the breast pocket was a letter to the young man from his parents. It was newsy stuff about the neighborhood and of course wishing he could come home to them. Mom signs it and Dad adds a P.S. of "Ditto what Mom said, Love Dad". The young man obviously made it home because the return address of Mom & Dad was literally 1 mile from the thrift store. I would love to find a note from you saying all the miles and adventure this pack has been on. No need for a name, just the story is cool enough. BTW, I collect antique diaries, I love the stories. That's why I'm kinda addicted to channels like yours. My story is interesting too, but not worthy of a RUclips channel.

The trick for cleaning wood stove glass is to dip a damp paper towel or rag into the wood ash and then wipe the glass. The pumice in the ash removes the tough stains on the glass without scratching it. No glass scraping is needed. It's so easy & fast.

Thank you so much for normalizing the mess of living in a tiny space! I feel like we're in a constant cycle of big deep cleans. When it's time to do a big clean, I feel like a complete housekeeping failure for all the nastiness I find. This makes me feel so much better.

    • @victoriasmith8570

I’m not even in a tiny space. We have a decent sized apartment and I’m in a constant cycle of cleaning! You’re not a failure for continually cleaning… That just means you are living in a home not being still in a museum! I was a horrible neat freak until my daughter was born. I wanted her to live and play openly and freely in our home. I taught her to pick up after herself and clean up but only after having made whatever mess during playtime that made us happy! At the end of our lives I highly doubt we’ll say, “I wish my home was spotless”. I try to live with the intention of enjoying every minute. It all goes by so quickly. That little girl that taught me to make messes just turned 22 1/2 yesterday. 🫂

The best way to clean your glass is with the ash out of the stove! Take a wet paper towel and dip into the ash, then clean glass with it, after the black has been removed get a wet clean paper towel and rinse glass then paper towel drive. Or you can use newspaper if you have it instead of the paper towels.

I love your van build. It's like a cozy cabin on wheels. I'm gonna steal it. Not really but I'm gonna kinda copy it. But in a 1 ton van so I can tow my sxs . I'm a retired trucker n now working from home. I've seen the country from the highway, I want to see it offroad.

Great job on the wood stove, however vented masonry bricks would have been a better choice. The fire bricks actually conduct the heat thru faster than regular bricks- they are not heat insulators.
Another thought-you could replace your Dewalt drill with the model that does both with a twist of a collet. Check it out. Good luck.

I can totally relate to the spring cleaning, I live in a in-law apt. One room a very small bathroom with a galley kitchen. I broke my ankle & was out of my apt for 9mos. I've been back for 2mos (still hobbling) but have been doing major cleaning/purging. It is so freeing & cleansing to my mind, body & soul. U did an amazing job on ur upgrades & organizing. Happy Summer to come🌞

Although we are technically grounded due to a breakdown, I spent the weekend spring cleaning the SUV. You did an awesome job reviving Togo. I'm guessing you got rid of the mouse. You really inspire me. Loved how you did the wood stove. Tfs Looking forward to the next video. Have a great week! PS I'd rather see the snow than the storm we are getting. Heavy rain and hail. Lighting all around.

Another great video. I so look forward to everything you share, makes my day, every time. Are those E.R. rings I see? Haha. I think I saw her making those in a recent video. You two are strong, creative women. Thank you, Linnea for being you.
