@koreankuma Thank you for the feedback. Without a FILTER function I would number each "Status" in my task list (i.e. Done 1, Done 2...) and I would use a VLOOKUP in my boards to retrieve those (one for each cell). If this is unclear feel free to get in touch via the email from the template I can provide more details...
@Sh3ll834 Thanks! If you are talking about the boards color yes you can as they are hardcoded. To group the other colors you just need to change them in the Cond formatting.
The look of the colored tab is great, but the true power of a task list would be the ability to drag and drop the task from stage to stage and this appears to instead need users to both enter new tasks and change the status on the 'Step 1' white tab instead of where you'd want to stay viewing.
Excel allows you to do things you would normally need to have a software to develop. Of course it is not perfect, specially when you do not want to have macros or VBA, but the things you can do "for free" are amazing, I find new uses everyday.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more of these creative Excel tools that can be adapted to suit other environments. take care.
More to come!
Great tutorial. I would love if you could show how to achieve this without the filter function in an older version of excel.
