I have always been rather lucky when it comes to gambling on the HyperNet. Today we take £1,000,000,000.00 (1 billion) Isk and see just how much profit we can make :)
We will also have a good look at how the hypernet works, how to calculate the odds on certain things and of course, how to buy tickets.
Don't worry these Hypernet videos will not all be this long :P

Thanks for this video, I had no idea what the hypernet was and now I have more of a clue. Seems quite a good way to spend a chill evening making some isk. I've never done it but will definitely check it out after seeing this. I'm quite new so lots to learn of thus game.

Love your videos found them a few months ago when I got back into eve. So when I do the maths which amount do I take into consideration. The sell amounts or the buy amount? The buy amount is what you can sell immediately for and the sell amount is what you COULD sell it for if you posted it for a while on the market. Is that correct? If so which one should you use if all you’re wanting to do is turn a profit and sell the item ?
I usually go of the sell amount. that shows how much people who already have the item are actually asking for. The buy amounts can be a little off as people always want to pay less than what they are worth :)

Good you call it what it is... Gambling! I haven't done this yet, only new, so I only have about 200ml isk. I can't afford to gamble it away on a chance
as long as your fraction ratio is the same, it doesnt matter how many ppl play, your odds are the same.....

The green price vs red/orange price isn't a good way to tell for BPOs because the system doesn't account for it being researched or not. So pay attention to that so your not over paying for a non researched BPO
75m for a Nidhog, 750ish m for a Rhea, you can get lucky but rest assured 1b is easy to spend :)
I have set my window to only show 48 nodes or less, then i only buy 1-3 nodes, i bought 3 on the Rhea at 238m each, sold it on to buy order for 9b

HN is not too bad..with a bit of luck u can win big. Another good way to make money is buy orders...somebody made made about 400 000 000 isk when during modifying my sell order i forgot to add three zeros to the sell price....and yes i did get a wornning about sell 99% below market value...what a game :-)

Simple math on stream/recording = hurr durr
I just miss the old Somer Blink Lottery, it was so much better than what CCP did here.

Anything less than 100% and I generally fail the gamble. The japanese have taught me that 99% generaly means 0% and it only gets worse from there.
I was Hypernet positive for my first few months of playing EVE.
I bought 2 Tickets for a Praxis offer, about 700k. Won the ship worth about 100mil.
Then I wasted way to much money trying to win a Damavik on the Hypernet XD
Yeah it isnt hard to keep going and going and lose all your isk
I like HyperNet. I produce ships I farm from abyss and sell there for 25% profit. At some point I bought 20 hulls straight from jita sell orders, put them on HN and made ~20 mil on each one.
Will I ecourage other to use it? NO, less people use it it's better message for CCP that gambling has no place in EVE.
Funny how CCP shut down the player-driven casino (IWantIsk), because it was funding wars in null. Only to make their own monetized gambling simulator.

You're dead right to call it a raffle. I've never entered it because I just find the whole idea ridiculous.
it can come off a little gimmicky but I think with some luck there is money to be made

I mean… your lack of self control, trend analysis and understanding of probabilities is more at fault than the game could ever be…
the way gambling works, if there's 100 tickets and you own 50, you don't have a 50/50 chance. that would be 1 in 2 chance. you have a 1 in 50. that's still a 2% chance. this is presuming the other 50 sold individually to 50 different people of course.
Lol hopefully you don’t have to write any probability exams in the near future. If so you should definitely study some more
50/50 chance to buy an item for >50% of its value... LOL
