I haven't seen your video yet, but before I do, I'm proud of your courage. I've had MS for 20 years and been married for 21 years. I was diagnosed after our first year of marriage. I am a pharmacist also and I just wanted to let you know that although you don't know me, I am willing to talk to you anytime you like to give this some perspective. I hope I can help.
@@DemiandTom I mean it. I'm on IG so feel free to reach out. My husband and I have starred in the movie you and your husband are in right now. It's scarry and uncomfortable, but God is faithful. I think I found your channel for a reason. I would be honored to be a sounding board for you.
I have been watching these inter-racial couple youtube channels. I have to say by far the 2 of you are the absolute best looking couple. Sometimes the guy is good looking. Sometimes the girl is good looking. However here it is both of you. Dear Lawd!!!
Michelle Edgerson I would love to hear about your Journey with M.S. I have a back injury and i feel I have M.S. as well. Please feel free to text me please. Thank you.
Love this video - honestly with the saturation on RUclips I’m shocked more people with MS don’t share their story, I was diagnosed with ms twelve years ago and still don’t see much on RUclips about it. I only started my channel a few weeks ago but plan on also sharing how I live with MS to give newly diagnosed people hope that you can live a normal happy healthy life, thank you for being so open and vulnerable XOXOXO
You two really are an exquisite example of what marriage really is about. God Bless You.🙏 Stay Strong, Demi. Stay Strong, Tom. Continue To Grow In Love & Understanding. Just Beautiful.🥰🥰
I volunteered for the National MS Society for several years. About 20 years ago now. I met all kinds of people with different stages of the disease. It is a crazy disease especially for how it is different for each individual. I would say support within the community and having a good outlook is part of the best ways to deal with it. I love how Demi said to not let it define you. We each have are own problems, issues, conditions, etc… I am so glad you have Tom to help support you even though he doesn’t think he is doing much. Support comes in all kinds of ways and you both support each other. It’s a wonderful thing to share with others in these social media platforms. I always like to remember you are not alone. There are others out there dealing with similar issues. We can always help each other in some way.
I loved this video. As a fellow MS warrior I could relate with everything you said. I even answered the questions about MS and had the same answers as you....minus the personal ones. I describe MS the exact same way. I was diagnosed in Jan. 2016 at the age of 41 (crazy to me that it was almost six years ago already) and I remember that day like it just happened. I already kinda knew that it was going to come back as me having MS, but my husband broke down and cried. I didn't, I was finally glad to know what in the heck was going on and why my body was doing all of these weird things. I started out on Copaxone, but had to switch treatments because it was not working for me. I have been on Ocrevus for almost four years now and thankfully I am doing okay! I agree there is so many wonderful people on the internet from all over the world who also have MS and it truly is helpful to talk to others who understand what we are going through. My Husband is so supportive and he worries about me more than I do. I do have a cousin who has MS so that helps as well, to be able to talk to her about it at times. I wish you the best and thank you for sharing your story.
Thank y’all so much I really needed to hear this . I have multiple sclerosis. I got diagnosed when I was 19 I’m almost 22. After I had my daughter I caught a flare up and became wheelchair bound . Y’all are amazing thanks for sharing your story . ❤️
My grandmother had MS. And as I know you've been advised, stress needs to be avoided at all costs. You and Tom seem to have developed a very joy free and loving relationship. I'm my grandmothers case, her mother was visiting a sister in Seattle area. A neighbor of her sisters took them out for a weekend day out. She pulled into a service station and a car hit them head on. Killing my great grandmother. In the following days the process the stress, that my grandmother went through sent her into a major MS episode that she never recovered from. I've heard that pregnancy seems to reduce MS episodes and symptoms. I'm anxious to see you both get pregnant.
All seriousness aside?? What about his handsomeness is not serious?? 🤣😂🤣👅 Don't know if most handsome man alive, maybe to you, but he sure is really extremely good-looking!👍🏼 They both are like Hollywood-beauty!🤩 But the best news is - he's obviously a really good guy! Thoughtful, intelligent, open, compassionate and loving! Thank God for that! Amen 🙏🏻
Love Love Love the way you handling this. Even if we don't get to see the sad, bad and ugliness of this disease, we know there are those days. Just be kind to yourself good people, you dealing with a lot🤗🤗🤗🙏
Thanks for sharing your story Demi. It's great to see how supportive you are of each other. One treatment I have had a lot of success with in young women with MS who are planning pregnancy is to use b-cell depleting medications such as ocrevus or rituximab. The idea is that they have a relatively short half life (3 weeks for rituximab and 4 weeks for ocrevus), but the clinical efficacy is very prolonged. I also find that people don't have a lot of post-partum relapses (relapses shortly after delivery) if they have previously received these medications. Of course, these drugs can cause infusion reactions and increase the risk of infection, so it is a difficult decision to make, especially during the pandemic. Copaxone, of course, has excellent safety data in terms of pregnancy.
Here's what I love about how supportive Tom is being. It's fairly obvious that there is a concern internally for his wife. It is likewise obvious, he is attempting to control the situation into a happy outcome. He was right, tho. Demi is truly rocking the exterior shell of keeping composed. I'm super inspired by her perseverance. In like manner, I am impressed to hear Tom say that he spent weeks with Demi at the hospital. That's not only dutiful but devotional too!! Yay!! Having experienced a countless number of upper-middle class handsome ethnic majority menfolk's resolve, I can first-hand testify that Tom is unique (if he is being sincere). My experience has been that men of his status typically blow smoke until things get critical. Then they jump ship at the first opportunity. But in any case, you two look like a solid team as it stands. And so, I will conclude this commentary with "my best thoughts are with you both for recovery, encouragement, and support." AS someone with more than a few health concerns, I 100% empathize with your recovery journey. Good luck .
Thank you for sharing your story and I really hope that this will start a conversation /help others. You guys are so loving and caring of one another, best wishes and take care of each other. Much love!
I have an invisible disability as of 1 year ago. I had a medical procedure go wrong. I now have a paralyzed diaphragm. It is good to communicate your symptoms and feelings. I am blessed with a supportive husband too!
Great, honest video guys! As someone with MS I want to be honest and say ditch copaxone, it's a really old therapy and is one of the least effective out there. Get yourself on a highly effective treatment (Ocrevus/Lemtrada/Tysabri etc) to have a much better outcome later on in life. I just don't understand why Neuros use an escalation strategy still, by the time you move to a different therapy the damage is already done. I wish you all the health in the world to both of you, take care.
Thanks for sharing your story. You are such an inspiration and have a positive outlook on life. I also had optic neuritis and was diagnosed with ms back in 2007. Keep being the MS warrior that you are ❤️
I am also Type A but had to slow down after I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury. I’ve been dealing with neurological issues since 1995. There’s ups and downs and it helps tremendously when you have support from your family and friends. I think open communication is key. My faith has been key in helping me deal with my journey. Yes, support groups, positive mindset is essential. 🙏🏼💗
It’s tearing away at Tom inside. He would take the disease from her if he could. Regardless, she’s doing great and has good access to health care and she’s positive and has support and health care. Lifespan with all of that isn’t much less than average and people die and suffer of more things unexpectedly. It’s just that this is on her radar.
There is a cure through Jesus. Now it's ACCORDING to how you approach HIM MY SISTER. I DIFFINITLY will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Been fond of you both since I came upon your channel, it's always a joy. Glad you opened up about this. Gives us(me) something to pray for. seeking God on this for you both will be my joy to pray for you DEMI.All of your videos are great and shows much love, joy& happiness between the two of you . Love it you two found each other as SOUL MATES and that's a plus. JUST APPRECIATE what you guys bring to MARRIAGE, relationship, STRAIGHT UP 100% HONESTy, loyalty etc. Demi and TOM won't lie ,hearing this news my soul cried due to just the essence of such a Cool looking COUPLE. May the Great Creator give STRENGTH to you both too deal with this and guide you both THROUGH THIS Journey on all fronts ALONG WITH ANY OTHER CHALLENGES. Love U guys much such a real& earnest couple. May all that you do starting with this MS and anything else in life be met with HAND & HAND TOGETHERNESS on into ETERNITY. PEACE 🤴 and 👸. God and Jesus keep you both.

I was diagnosed yesterday and I know I have a lot of planning and trials ahead of me. We just got married in May as well. My husband said we will get through it all together.
Oh man.. Just when I thought what a fairytale you and your lifes are.. And was happy that apparently for some people life is a fairytale.. A SHOCK! And also, just when I thought u2 couldn't possibly get more adorable, admirable and just GORGEOUS - You share this.. And do this video.. Mindblowing! So inspiring! Praying for you Demi to stay that strong, wise and cheerful and just be well! And also - please God let Tom be the man we all want him to be! No baling, be solid together forever, hold on to your love! 🙏🏻❤️✌🏼 Life can suck that way, that much.. BUT you'll conquer every obstacle, you'll triumph! Even if I don't really know you - I hope and pray you will!⭐
Please look into what may happen to you after delivering the baby.I know many ladies with MS who drastically went down hill with the disease after pregnancy. doctors say they are not linked but the ladies I know beg to differ.. of course having children is a blessing but I just thought I would mention this.
Just discovered your channel! You guys are a beautiful couple! I hope to find what you both have someday ☺️ Demi, I love how much positivity you give off, your happiness is contagious. Sending good vibes and positivity your way ❤️
Demi is so very open and well spoken about herself and MS. I am proud of her and Tom seems not to know how much she is going to depend on his strength, he needs to be more verbal....this is just my take on this matter. I definitely see the love between them and will bepray

Selam. Demi have you tried wet cupping.. The dry only surfaces the toxins.. coagulated cells are removed and helps with circulation.. I’m not saying it’s a cure, but it’s an alternative form of medication. May the pair of you continually be joined, your journey is going to be filled with many obstacles, but have faith, love and compassion for each other… Please continue to make such lovely vlogs…

This is good MS education for those who are affected, when they see how happy and brave you are
Just being there for her is great
She will need that
You are doing great that’s a BIG HELP!
The approaches you both described from your respective viewpoints to the diagnosis of MS are insightful. I love the Team designation which is what you are for life and through this journey. Correct information does demystify diseases and helps create effective ways to manage the flareups. Communication is vital!! Tom doesn’t take credit for the being supportive. !!!!!!! ❤️
You both are beautiful.

Is MS a life threathening disease?
God bless you both demi and tom ❤️
Not really, everyone is different and some people have a higher chance of becoming disabled
Do you have Scottish ancestry? Here in Scotland ms is more common than anywhere else in the world. Places with lots of Scottish diaspora have high rates of ms like new Zealand for example.
Thankfully you're young. Just think of the possibilities of future treatments. At 43 I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. It's really changed my world. I thought the cpap would rid me of the chronic fatigue/exhaustion but it only improved it. It's hard to think about a future feeling bad. But I continue to plug on. God bless you both and know that God can get you through anything.

I’m not saying it’s a cure, but it’s an alternative form of medication.
May the pair of you continually be joined, your journey is going to be filled with many obstacles, but have faith, love and compassion for each other…
Please continue to make such lovely vlogs…
