Autonomous Cyber Defence: From Lab to Ops

Just where are the frontiers of cyber AI when it comes to national defence and security?
The Turing’s Defence and Security programme has established a multi-disciplinary team exploring the potential of autonomous agents for cyber defence that’s looking into just this.
Despite the recent surge in academic publications on nascent, experimental research in cyber AI and gyms for training autonomous cyber agents, existing agents and environments built for cyber defence are still relatively simple - and there is ample potential for increasingly intelligent agents and more realistic simulations to train and test them.
