Rune Factory is my absolute fave series of games in this genre. I love the way they setup the stories in Rune Factory games compared to other farmin sims
Also just this series has sm grt things to do so i nvr get as bored with them as i can get with other farmin sims

This is the official "Marry Kuruna" thread. All other Bachelorettes are fine, but our uni-waifu is supreme in these parts.

I think I can meet you halfway. There's a different demihuman damsel that neither of us married...

Ooh, I love this entry in the series.
I was surprised to see this, and Dietaku's along for the ride, too!
All this time and Raven's still my favorite of all the bachelorettes in 3.
Also, lol 30:52 makes me think of Illuminata in 4.

No hate. She just didn't do it for me.

See, I was tempted to leave our waifu choice open to the comments. But I knew full well I'd get voted to marry Raven, so I headed that one off at the pass.

15:10 Fully agree that the skill system is truly one of, if not, the bestaspects of Rune Factory. It truly makes the game stand out amongst a crowd of well, rather mediocre farmin sims; even before considerin the story and wide variety of things to do
That skill system is just smth that makes these games all the better for it, and yeah; its rly nice that even walking and sleeping are skills xD It rly helps to keep you feelin like youre in a constant state of progression, rather than feelin stagnant over time as you just slowly build up relationships

Latter-day RFs use a positive skill system, where growing builds you up. This started with RF3 going forward. Old RF, which is to say 1, 2, and Frontiers uses a reductive skill system, where skills just hold you back and don't move you forward at all. Make sit VERY difficult to go back and play those older games after playing the newer ones.

God I remember Rune factory 5 where literally everything had a level. I was nearly shocked there wasnt a Door opening level up.
Do hard agree Rune is better cause it has Monster raising in general that acutally does things for your farm too.

When even loving helps you out, why not opening doors?

@@dietaku I can picture it now, If you level up Door opening Skill you get less loading times. So to get instant loading you need like Level 99 Door opening. Level 100 you can get basically Debug warp anywhere on the map at any time lol.

@@KazerLeanne That sounds more like it belongs in an older RF game where skills were restrictive xD

1:11:00 On this tip, at least in RF5 you can exploit this bcuz your RP **still** very slowly increases while youre in a conversation with someone - and yet time doesnt pass
Not a grt speedrunnin tactic, but grt for if ya wanna try to complete the game in as few in game days as possible; or if ya just rly hate pushin things back by one day xD

Actually, I didn't know about the conversation RP restoration! And I basically 100%'d 5. That's good to know, should I revisit it!
