I think my favourite thing Monster Hunter World has done is it has given new people a chance to get what we've been getting for YEARS now, without the recycled PS2 graphics and awful control schemes on hand-ruiningly designed portable hardware. It scraped off a lot of the gunk and grease, and polished up the best parts and put it on a console people own with a controller that won't cripple your hands. It's fucking awesome seeing people get their hype moments fighting monsters they've never seen before that we've been killing for nearly a dozen games now, like Rathalos and Kushala Daora. Brings back memories of my first time and knowing there's so much more for the new guys to experience, man it just feels great. I'm so glad people can play a series I've loved for so many years.
Years late of course but as a hammer user I've never had any problems getting monster tails... investigations with as many silver/gold rewards as possible are the key and capturing of course...
I have been playing monster hunter since the first two games on psp we were playing link on deployment in Iraq lol I love this IP I'm very confused they didn't have another console release after the success of world I have moved away from mobile console gaming and prefer PC and main console releases realize its a late comment but this is the best MHW discussion I have heard in a long time
The large monster fights have been like that for a long time. It's kind of a staple of the series, but in the past you actually broke parts off and killed them - not sure why they made it so passive. Also, if this game had G-rank I'd laugh my ass off as everybody died and complained from being one shot - especially if it had the difficult monsters of 3+4U lol
God so much cringe in this, dude explains the Aloy thing so much how does he not understand? Characters were transported into this from other games? What the fuck dude. Shit has been around for nearly 15 years it's straight forward. Hunt Monsters like damn dude it's the name.
I think he's just trying to find something similar he's played himself, rather than attempting to understand without any frame of reference. You're absolutely right in that they're polar opposites in terms of gameplay and progression, but I appreciate the sentiment Cohh was trying to make. Destiny 2's progression is so streamlined it's almost laughable, while Monster Hunter has so many layers (to sometimes, a point of confusion) where the core loop is very addictive.
I hope they bring Max on again for Monster Hunter Wilds. I always enjoy his passion and insight in games he's really in to.

Is that so bad?
One of the best segments I can remember in the history of the show.
3 years too late but a great conversation for an incredible game.

I've never been interested in Monster Hunter but I liked Vindictus for PC and this looks like where it actually originated...
Did he call it Devilhoe
Mike Yes, and he doesn’t seem to have any clue that Deviljho is the first free DLC monster lol.
Was not expecting to see Max on any of these.
He's been on before they've had him on when another big fighting game came out a while back.
3rd time his been on the show.
Why do you have micro from the punisher netflix ? XD
MAX!

Has Max played PSO2? Because... That kinda gives me the vibe that PSO did.
He has. He liked it, but since there's no NA localization he hasn't really gone back.
zeek wait for pc
oh shit dooood!
Bazel juice :b
Lol, I did what cohh did. I killed Legiana a shit ton to get full armor and weapon, then hit high rank. XD
Niceu
Zekes pound...

Please specify Destiny 1 or 2 when talking trash. 2 is trash. 1 was ok
SKtheCheF destiny 1 was only ok if you didnt waste extra money on the DLCs
for him specifically, both were not his thing.
Comparing destiny and monster hunter is totally fucking wrong.......
CorpusDelecti13 yeah, Monster Hunter is actually good.
kouriichi and nothing alike
CorpusDelecti13 cause MHW is actually good and has progression.
It's a comparison not an equation
