Used to deal with a company here in Houston who was a Yorkville Dealer. First time I used them totally freaked out when I saw the cabinet start lighting up. Thought it was catching on fire but learned that there was a bulb in them that served as a limiter. When you were hitting the limit of the cabinet it would glow. That was the biggest repair issue on them but it saved a whole lotta horn drivers😂

They look Chinese made and Italian exported. I’m pretty sure the fail rate on those boxes is pretty high. I bumped into a company with them not long ago and they were experiencing driver failure not six months into ownership.

I had a set of Yorkville LS701P dual 10" active subs. Those little thing suprised me and would rock a place really well. I used a set Mackie SRM750 for the tops. Running county bands and doing karaoke through these. It would blow my mind at how good they sounded in a 1500 sqft room. And it just worked. Now in a smaller room, It would over power the place. But the larger bars and venues I done around Uniontown PA. It was a great system.

My former bass player used 4 single 18" JBL subs until he bought a pair of powered 18' Yorkville subs. Said they were the best gear he ever bought. Those things murdered smaller gigs, and killed it outside as well. Bartender at the local biker bar always got mad that he'd shake the bottles off the shelves behind the bar. 😵‍💫

I once had to rent some stuff for a show my band was doing. The place gave me some Yorkville powered boxes with a 15 a mid and tweeter. I was suspicious since he didn't give me a sub, but for what we were doing there was plenty of low end.
JR, maybe Chuck Levins would loan some demo boxes to you for a couple of gigs.

Hi there, I am a DJ that plays twice every month with 2 Active - Yorkville NX 750’s, 2 - U15P 3ways speakers, and 2 - LS801’s subs. I’m thinking of buying 2- TX 9’s in which are passive. My question to @Thegrumpysoundguy , is it a bad idea mix Active and passive subs ❓ I have a AP 6040 amp please let me know.

Me and my friend have (4) PS12P’s and (2) ES18P’s with (2) more on the horizon. I have seen this exact system at work inside 2 and 2 phenomenal, and 4 and 4 outside plenty of power. We did a few shows with the 4 Tops and 2 Subs was loud and most important Crystal clear and set at about 10 o ‘clock on the Subs and 12 O’clock on the Tops. I’m a musician I go see bands all the time Yorkville to me are better then JBL, EV, MACKIE, YAMAHA ETC ETC Which most guys bars have. Meyer and L’Acoustic type level probably not but who can afford $1000s more for those. For Hundreds more I would definitely purchase YORKVILLE!!!! and did.

I have a set of 801p powered subs that are 20 years old. And a set of 601 elites and a pulse 3 ways powered by yorkville amps. I will put that rig against any system out there. Big Fish sound in Northwest Ohio is exclusive yorkville dealer all there rigs are yorkville. The secret is out . Yorkville had RCF speakers and birch plywood boxes.
