The print is actually way more durable then you might think. i did a snakeskin print on some nike slides about a year ago and the print is still holding up even though i rock the slides daily.

Great work, . The tape is what’s causing your air bubble and wrinkles as well as the blotchyness. Try it without tape you will be surprised how much easier it lays out. The box you’re using so small enough it will create a bounding box for the film. Doing this it wont crease and it will cover the whole panel a lot easier. You can cut small slits along the perimeter which will keep it from rolling up on itself without tape.
Man these are cold and honestly it’s nice seeing someone do it the right way with the film instead of just spray paint lol... don’t get me wrong I’ve seen some turn out amazing with the paint but these go above and beyond those!!

The film was actually under activated or the water was too cold. The water needs to be at least over 100 degrees to give it a good liquid state. That’s why it started pulling apart. It will have a glass like appearance on top when it has enough activator.
