Yes, every Christmas some trees are converted to Christmas trees, and crates are replaced with presents. Then it is converted back when the next update is released.

We have a tradition of enabling Christmas props with an update each Christmas and disabling them with another update early in the year. We haven't got around to disabling them this year yet.
