Such a clear and concise way of expressing herself! I don't think I've seen many better discourses from sports-people. Most impressive, and a beautiful tennis-player too. Great future ahead!
Totally agree. I was feeling the need to propel myself in leaving one of those meaningless comments saying: "So intelligent and eloquent!" Well, that's why she is so good. She will be #1.
There is something very special about Leylah Anne Fernandez her, maybe it’s her X-factor that I love. If I am being honest Leylah is by far my favorite tennis players (in the world). She is a joyful person with a wonderful smile. I love her.

I thought that the sweetest and most beautiful was Emma Raducanu, but having met her and speaking seriously, without letting herself be enchanted by easy appearances, YOU are by far the truest, sincere, mild, joyful, humane, dispenser of serenity, sympathy and love. An angel in the heart, in the soul, in the person, in the face, in the eyes and above all in the smile! Beautiful, beautiful, wonderful Leylah!!!!!!!!🀄
Love her movement on the court and the way she attacks the net is a breath of fresh air, since most ladies just choose to stay in the baseline.. love her beauty as well 👌💪
To have so much to teach at such a young age is truly amazing. About how to perform under pressure. About how to deal with adversity. About how to respond to unfair criticism. About how to maintain your self belief in the teeth of unrelenting criticism. This young woman is truly inspiring. She’s a lion on court, and gazelle off it. What a way to be. And she has a face of such radiant goodness and loving-kindness, it’s actually painful to look at. I don’t believe in God, but I’m pretty sure this is a child of his right here……
Leyla is a nice tennis player among an extremely competitive WTA circuit, where Iga towers among all. No sure if she will ever win a grand slam tournament, but she will be certainly higher in the WTA ranking.
Leylah makes me laugh out loud bc she is such a focused assassin on the court but so relaxed off the court.. Glad to see some of the other side. Seems very cool, balanced + friendly 👍🏼👍🏼
Solid top 20 potential I think, she has the ability to redirect play and wear players down with sheer will and stamina. Her lack of a 'weapon' for lack of a better word may stop her reaching higher, but nonetheless a fantastic player!
I enjoy seeing Leylah play tennis. She may not always win but it is always so close when she does not win. She hangs in there and has a great attitude and is such a well-spoken young lady. She will be around for a long time. I hope she never gets a tattoo. Looking forward to seeing you play in your next tournament.
I like her a lot...her mind on the court is incredily strong...happy to follow her. Besides: Is she officially injured/hurt again at the moment? I`m asking because I didn`t see her play any matches after the US Open...do you guys know when she´s gonna perform next?
Nice interview with the Canadian star. I wish we could know these stars better. Is she Trilingual or possibly a four language speaker? French, English & Spanish. You don't win a Grand Slam junior championship without talent. The girl is a competitor.
I like Leylah and I think she should have won the US Open. That being said it is frustrating seeing her not evolve. She hasn't done anything new this year, in fact she has regressed seeing as her ranking is lower than it was this time last year. Her US Open performance last year should have led to more victories against top ten players.
She has absolutely evolved. She has done much better up to before the US Open this year than she did at the same point last year. Her injury at the French Open derailed her a little bit, but I have no doubt she will build back up next year.
@@FBGoddess12No she did not. 10 wins prior to the FO in 2022 and 10 wins prior to F0 in 2021. 2022 This year: 2nd round loss Adelaide, 1st at the AO, 3rd at IW, 1st Miami, 1st Charleston, 2nd Madrid, 2nd rome. 2021 Abu Dhabi 2nd round, Grampians 2nd, AO 1st, Gaudalajara 2nd, Miami 1st, Madrid 1st, Rome 1st, Belgrade 2nds
It’s actually better she didn’t win. If she did, her game would have plummeted. Just look at Emma. She hasn’t improved since. Meanwhile Leylah is constantly working on her game
Super! Très beau reportage 😊 Leylah, tu dois pratiquer ton français, tu commences à chercher tes mots, la Floride va te faire perdre la langue de Molière. La WTA devrait justement prendre avantage de ta force d’être trilingue
Leylah needs to give up on doubles during majors. she needs that reserved energy...Half Asians, dont have that energy storage as caucasians or black people do...she can play doubles in minor tournaments, but in grand slam events she needs to focus on singles. js.

What a lovely, well spoken lady. A great ambassador for the game of tennis. 😍❤️🇨🇦
And a good role model for girls, not just with tennis.
