The only decent argument for Marduk being OP has to be the fact that you have to buy him just to lab him. That’s what happens when characters that need matchup knowledge to beat are kept behind a paywall
Yeah his transitions are difficult. Easy to play hard to master type of deal. But once you master it you can get massive damage from the walls. Marduk's main win condition is based off of the 50/50 from tackle.
to all the salty viewers out there, yes Marduk has without a doubt the best oki in the game, and a very damaging rage drive. But he has several other flaws you conveniently choose not to see: big size, bad side step, no poking game whatsoever, bad ws game, his stance doesn't have autoblock, no panick moves, no spring kicks, he doesnt have a long range launcher for big whiffs, very negative mids, and his oki game once you understand it it's a high risk high reward because either Marduk launches or he gets launched. The character is not OP or broken. He is fine the way it is.
i agree with most thing but not having long range launchers is straight up wrong, his df1 have great range (better than claudio hop kick) and f3,2 is great for whiff punishment and also is only -11

Df1 won't reach, and actually no movement from Marduk will reach. He really struggles to punish moves with pushback or people whiffing at range 2. And F3,2 is 23 frames so it's punishing shit.
@@Pilsudski_Tekken most character can’t launch punish those move with huge push back, if you want to punish those use f1+2, and his df2 isn’t “deceiving”, against average male character it have a range of 2.8 (2.79 is most consistent), character with great 15 punish like claudio and josie have a 2.35 reach at best, don’t worry i’m not talking out of my ass, i’ve labbed, also you said big whiff and nothing about move with big push back cause those are on block
@@davidchu2001 I've also labbed quite a lot with Marduk and F+1+2 or b4 will whiff against pushback and db2 range is deceiving again, not really good punisher. To me a character with good reach is Jack f,f+1+2, or f+1+2 or mishimas with wavedash electric. Marduk is average, definitively NOT OP.
